Extensive fortifications is one of the best cards in the game for certain civs that are pushing for FF, playing team, or just want to take all the gold mines.
Y’know I should talk to Risotto and see if there’s a way to make any of the fun things I like to do work in 1v1. Definitely have done this as India and Japan though. I use Taj Mahal for age 2 because ceasefire doesn’t stop buildings from firing but Karni probably is better. Not brave enough to do this against people, most people hate playing against walls and my empathy stops me. On the game though. The castle card is a little better then you’d think because that 10% damage makes the difference between a castle taking one less shot to kill things. If you are building mostly castles, that value adds up pretty quick. Hill castle is good resource wise. The tech is 600 resources of wood and coin and the castle is 250 and 50 and you save a few vill seconds too for building. Ends up being as good or better then most unit shipments. 5:55. Wow immediate value on land reforms there. If he hadn’t sent that card that castle would not have gone up in time. Underrated card and rare to see it give a return so quickly. It’s tough to use it in builds because it is inherently very greedy but India at least gets a vill in addition. You are correct though it’s 100% XP. 10:30 For people who don’t like diversity and want to know only a handful of things and win with fast clicking? Yeah it’s bad game to them. Plenty of other games that do that instead, bugger off. Honestly though against full turtle, booming is effective. Especially going age IV for mortars or heavy cannon. They’ve invested into their castles so can’t punish it. Petards aren’t worth it as you say. They are good if you can take down a vital building and gain an immediate advantage but not for singing against lots of them. Grens although not an option unless France has cards for it are also good but India does have Gurkhas which are a pain to deal with, so age IV factory greed is nice.
Matter of fact this build was inspired by someone from lions discord, same as the age 1 trade empire I'm always open to try and make funky builds work as long as they're not focused on making units lol
@@nicolasbr1332 They are probably a little underestimated and aren't as 'free form' as factories and also the fact they are in the age 3 slot which is already super crowded for most civs. However for reference 5 Yumi Archers are 873 Japanese villager seconds (no hunts so slower food). A Dojo without the upgrade takes 134 seconds to make 5 Yumi's. That's around 6.5 villagers and it's closer to 6 for the other options. Japan however has 7 villagers as an option which can be sent twice and those benefit from upgrades and gather export in addition to resources. There are still benefits to the Dojo but they are no 'age 3' factories and using 2 takes up 2 precious slots in the deck. The upside to Dojos though is that they do not need to be garrisoned if an enemy attacks nor do they consume natural resources nor do they count to Japan's villager limit. They may have their place, but 1v1 at least, games move too quickly for the Dojo's benefits to matter. Even very late, they can be doing nothing if the units are not coming where you need them and/or you have max population space. There's just too many things about them which make them a risk not worth running and they simply don't produce quickly enough to be worth it over 7 vills.
Bro I love your commentary but please switch from civ to civ when watching a certain player so we can see how much ressources, settlers etc he has. Thanks alot and keep up the good work!
shake was retarded in this game. either going into heavy falcs or aging up to industrial then going for mortars/heavy cannons the petards were an absolute waste. a couple petards make sense to bust through a wall quickly, not randomly placed castles
"Family Guy Amish rebuilding the barn" build
the meme builds is what I live for
Ridiculous! That was crazy wouldn't believe this good thing I'm seeing it! Thanks for the videos.
If India had Russian Consulate.... he could get some blockhouses too🤣. Almost as meme as Hauda warhut Spam

@@Risotto_aoe Not making units is what I like. Or using obscure units that almost never get used :D.
@@Risotto_aoe I'd love to see you try a build with Japan's dojos! I never see anyone use them

Ironically advanced artillery would’ve counted this haha

FI into mortar musk(or goon) would have been better imo
not using petards would have helped too.
Especially now because it ships one mortar.
anything but what he decided to do would counter it xd
Yeah if I saw that I’d quit lol
Luv musk/falc
WOW age of empires 3 has so much OP things in the game now, it’s great 😆
this build isnt op at all tho :D
@@marini1493 however it could topple inexperienced players? 😂😂😂🧐
So basically... Brits spend to many resources fighting the castles so that they lost the later battles? I am confused and amazed
wait, why not go for the wonders, that can´t be rebuilt, instead of the castles?
Maybe instead of the wonders he must have attacked the other TC
