Hi, i like to share some informations about pomegranates. The red variety fruits mostly available in markets are some acidic pomegranates. There is one native species of pomegranate in India, it is a heirloom variety fruit, the seeds are always white in colour, not red, it is the best quality pomegranates to consume. It is not acidic, but alkalinizing. But it is available only in season. It is always best to consume Organic, seasonal and locally available fruits and vegetables. In ayurveda, pomegranate is said to improve digestion and it has the quality to cleanse even minitutest channels in the body. Tq.
