They call me to cover everyone's shift and I get guaranteed 5 days a week now plus all the shifts I cover 😅
@@Gachilyn there's a lady on here that has training videos for the register and for the different drink machines. Search McDonald's POS training and you'll find them. Idk about your mcyds but mine just threw me on back cash with zero training and I didn't know how to use the computers so her videos were my saving grace lol. Other advice, take pictures of each menu tab on your register to memorize where things are. Also if your mcyds has pictures hanging above the assembly table take pics of those too Incase they throw you on assembly one day Other little things I've learned along the way that wasn't explained to me I just figured it out: to do half cut tea (half sweet half unsweet) press sweet tea then at the top under SUB click half cut or w/e your specific button says. If a person wants to void a whole order you can't take off the final item cause the POS can't process a total of 0 for an order so (for my mcyDs) we just press the "extra sauce" button void everything else out, total it, then either my manager comes over to promo it off or I just cash it out and put the receipt under my register so when they count it they can see why my register is under. If the tender screen isn't showing the orders in the black boxes, press the button at the bottom right that looks like a magnifying glass 🔍. If anyone get mad, frustrated, yells, ect immediately call your shift manager. You do not, and honestly are not supposed to deal with customers like that. That's why your managers get manager pay. my GM, her assistant manager, and my hiring manager told me that first day. Don't be scared to call them over, its their job. Don't hold on to ANYTHING shtty customers say to you at the register. Immediately just forget about it. You need a memory like a gold fish 😂 the moment they aren't in your field of view they don't exist anymore and w.e they did didn't even happen. I had a man last week get mad over him getting an extra soda, he circled back around the drive thru came straight to my window and when I opened it he threw his bag of food at me... I wasn't even the one on his lane that took his order but because I'm in the cash out window and the first face customers see I get the brunt of the attitudes. You gotta just let it roll off your shoulder. Some Customers suck, some become your regulars and you build a bond. Just do your best and you'll be fine 🤗
Just recently started watching your videos. Haven't had a Big Mac in OVER ten years...until yesterday when I stopped at a McD's in Quebec City and had probably the best Big Mac I've had in my life.
It’s not as good as it seems we get yelled at cursed out get paid at least I do 11hr for 40hrs of work and we are on our feet 8hrs a day sometimes more.

Been 23 years since I worked in a McDonald's. They've made some changes. It was just a seasoning that was put on the burger patties on the grill, now it is the dehyds as well. No more dehyds on the line. We also didn't do the quarters to order, it was all in the cabinet. I was on grill, got to work the line a couple times. I really liked that more. LOL Getting to wear the headset and dropping the buns. I also don't remember the separate toaster for Filets. It all went in the one toaster. I also don't remember the special chute for the middle Mac bun. Working there is where I got my gamer name, Lurrch. One of my co-workers there called me that. Weird that all these years later I like watching videos of the kitchen area. Keep up the great work.
@@shemarwya They used to be good about cross contact, but I know not all places follow protocol. I can't tell in this video if the fries are being fried in the same area as nugs. I'm anaphylactic allergic to all nightshade (which includes potatoes). I had a reaction to nuggets about 8 months ago. Felt the same as if I had eaten potato. I never ate them again. I didn't know if maybe they changed their practices and fried them all in the same place and that is what happened. Thought maybe he would kniw if the protocol had changed for fryers.

I work at Chick-Fil-A and I’m pretty jealous that we don’t do spicy nuggets although we do have spicy coater we can bread our nuggets in but we don’t advertise them so we can’t make them 🫤

It's to let the grill staff know that a quarte pounder was just ordered. They are made fresh in the US.
Two things that strike me: The American cheese isn't melted onto the patty and the bacon is added on at what looks to be room temp or cooler.
The bacon is warm. The entire table is hot and keeps it fresh
