- After one year in Malaysia, we are saying goodbye. We can't believe we spent one year in Malaysia, but we are so glad that we did! We met so many great people, got to visit so much of peninsular Malaysia more than we ever could've imagined, ate some of the best food in the world and experienced Malaysian Hospitality at it's finest!

Malaysia is a country where you can find your inner peace..and the locals are nice and friendly towards everybody. Low crime rates, cheap & abundance of different food and places to stay, superb healthcare but cheap, great weather without any natural catastrophe like earth quakes, have a balance of modern living and village countryside living, very peaceful country. 5) NO GOOD RULES AND REGULATIONS.
6) MOSTLY PARADISE FOR CRIMINALS AND SMULERS.
7) YOUR MONEY AND YOUR HEALTH ARE NOT SAFE.
8) RECENTLY USA BANNED MALAYSIAN PRODUCTS BECAUSE FORCED LABOURS ARE USED.
9) MORE IMPORTANT YOU NEVER GET SALARY.

Coming from Malaysia and having grown up knowing friends from around the world since I went to an international school, Malaysia definitely has its beauties. We certainly can't compete in terms of touristic places etc when we have the heavyweights of Thailand and Indonesia next door. However, having gained the perspectives of foreigners who have lived here, with some over a few years, Malaysia provides enough to make living/visiting a comfortable adventure. I've recently moved to Utah, but I still remember the memories I've made with so many back home.
Think that Malaysia can definitely compete with neighboring countries, but it just flies under the radar by comparison. We love the charm and hospitality we encountered all around peninsular Malaysia and the islands on the east coast are beautiful! Still have East Malaysia to visit, which looks absolutely beautiful too
Same here! Planned to be here for 6 days. It's now been 13 months and we're still here. Waiting to see what the new MCO extension brings. Happy to see others sharing similar experiences here in 2020. :)
All of us who decided to stay in Malaysia during the MCO are very lucky! Hoping for the best for you and everyone else who wants to stay in Malaysia. If it wasn’t for MCO 2.0, we may have stayed longer too.

It's crazy that it's been a year already guys. It has to be quite scary dealing with a pandemic away from home but I guess it was also a lot safer than here. And you guys were lucky to find great people while you're there.
It is crazy! The beginning was weird with a lockdown after just a week of being in Malaysia, but definitely happy we were in Malaysia during this time. Very happy to meet so many great people over the year

I've seen quite a lot of travelers got stuck in Malaysia due to this pandemic. Most of it was unplanned. But after a few weeks, I'm glad that they are having a good time here. They enjoy the cultures, buildings, traffics, hot weather and last but not least; the FOODS. Keep it in your memory and do come again soon & TQ for this video..👍

One year full of adventure despite the world changing around us- but as always your travel gives inspiration that even during a pandemic one can find fun! Adventure! And of course friendship - I especially love how you both found that boxing gym 🤣 near your place - greg is a pro now haha
Definitely! We made the best of a crazy situation and have no regrets. Just grateful we got to Malaysia when we did. Made so many great friends along the way like Puri and Sue!

I remember seeing you guys travel as we were in lockdown. As the world was headed into the unknown I really was nervous for you guys. I was like "oh my god, I wonder what awaits them in this trip". Glad to see it's been a true year of growth for y'all
It was crazy! We left NYC just before the lockdowns - still can’t believe the timing. Thank you so much! Glad we got to Malaysia just before the lockdown and got to experience so much during our year
