Thank you for posting these. I don’t do discord, Reddit, twitter, twitch, only TH-cam. I’d like to think there are others like me. This is the best way to relay information to us. Thanks again. Love the game. The gameplay is slow and rewarding without being too easy or having too much loot.
Loving the game so far. Has been a long time since I’ve just wanted to live in a game like I have been with this. Says a lot when the game still has a lot to add. I am rooting for you guys and for the continued success of Pantheon.
No shared bank is killing it for me atm. I love the game but have 4 crafting alts and getting raws between my characters has become exponentially harder with each alt. To the point that I'm just embarrassed to ask anyone, because I need to log in 4 different characters multiple times to do swaps. I also cant distribute what I've made to my other characters. Please please please do something about this.
Yeah, I am mostly soloing in this game, could not get a friend to join me here, so I don't have anyone I could trust to help me transfer stuff between characters and I am not going to take a chance trusting a stranger and risk losing valuable stuff. Shared bank or mail system would be a huge help.
Kinda feels like it's intentional BECAUSE of people just having alts to do their tradeskilling rather than buying/selling/trading with other players. Dunno, but kinda feels that way
People could rent space? Buy storage, buy more slot space, buy and unlock account sharing space, but with in game currency. All I know is that for a game heavily dependent upon crafting the space provided for materials defeats the crafting system. And for a game heavily involved with crafting, limiting how many crafting professions a single character can learn also defeats the purpose. The reason for that is…the amount of player stamina required to raise their crafting to the highest level will take insurmountable effort and materials. The player economy will become reliant on a fairly small demographic to provide said trade goods and unfortunately people grow tired of games or life intercedes which means that eventually, access to crafting at the highest levels will cease. It’s too interconnected and dependent upon others and that coupled with difficulty and engagement will meet attrition.
I think the little things like no shared bank slots for alt transfers is what kind makes the game work. It’s annoying and seems dumb but it forces you to ask in your guild or at the bank for someone to help. Then there is the trust factor that you give some random guys your gear or money and he could just rob you if he wanted. It’s the little quirks that kinda make the game work. I worry the more optimized it becomes less MMOish. Project 1999 is still surviving with all those quirks to this day.
This may end up being a long comment but I feel compelled to apologize. I backed this game in 2019 and over the years I became frustrated with some development decisions and never having access to an alpha. At times i echoed the sentiment this was simply "vaporware." I became even more frustrated that my $300 backing only afforded me a part time alpha when it became available - at this point i wrote off the game completely. Recently a friend of mine picked it up and despite my frustration, i decided to use the key thats been sitting in my email box and over the last two weeks ive fallen in absolute LOVE with this game. Id even say I'm a bit consumed by it - many long hour sessions accompanied by listening to Joppa on this channel. That said, im sorry i was impatient and couldnt see the forest through the trees - connecting with other players has been a wonderful experience. I'm enjoying all the development talk and changes coming. ❤
@mikepic you know man I was in the same boat but my difference was I was able to play in PA and it was so hard at first to bite my tongue reading comments like vaporware. I even jumped off the boat after awhile because it started to feel that way for me. But I love this game and I knew I was going to make this my MMO and now that EA is here it's just cement that feeling for me welcome back man glad to have you
I'm glad they released the mmo server instead of the extraction gamemode. I believe if they released the extraction gamemode , Pantheon won't get the good reception it's getting now. I'm tempted to buy the EA but i dont want to spoil my first experience because it's still a long way to go before release.
@ honestly, that’s a good reason to wait. A part of me wants to put it down for that very reason. As much as I want to not spoil the release, it’ll be hard to stop playing after already had started.
I lost all faith with the one/two punch of the graphics downgrade and the 247 fiasco... glad I still gave it a chance once it went EA as I'm loving it now.
Much love Joppa! Been following Pantheon for a while now and am loving the early access. Got the keeper pledge way back when and got my brother playing with me! Would love to see a youtube live of this too! until then ill try to catch your twitch streams :P
Joppa, your videos and cryptic messages keep us hanging on. I don't want you spilling all the beans, that was one of the best parts of EQ, we had to figure it out on our own. However, I'm curious if there will be locations like Timorous Deep Fire Pit Room? As soon as my characters were high enough, I would run them there, often at great risk due to it being a high-level zone, and the ever-present dragon hanging out nearby... Loved having secret spots like this in game that all players could leverage if they wanted the risk...
Yup thanks to all the team and yourself . Due to your blood sweat and tears this is making thousands of us happy and many thousands more to come . Hopefully mastery will be functional soon I know many of us are looking at our points longingly sitting there d^_^b. also just to add cinder lance is fun but for the cost should be minimum 1.5x more powerful.
Multiboxers are here already on the ermos server. There are 6 players running around with full groups. Some are nice and share spawns while others take everything. It’s not fun experience if you can’t get in a guild group and have no great alternatives for solo. Not everything drops coin, so basically, need a guild group or public group otherwise you won’t get any spawns while those boxer guilds are online. Content for solo and group is needed. It’s also the solo players that contribute more to the community than those running dedicated groups for exp. Until there tools to prevent boxing, there should be experience for those who’d like to solo when there’s no group for group content.
Joppa, your comments on Wild's End needing work, but you aren't going to work on it until you do later content, doesn't sound very good to me. Many of my guildmates started in Wild's End. I started in Wild's End. We all deleted our characters and moved to Thronefast because it had better content. You have two spawn zones, and one is almost completely Barren at times. Please work on Wild's End. There are a LOT of lower level characters and people joining the game, and all moving on to Thronefast.
I reached level 24 as a Wizard, playing 90% solo. The only time I grouped was to farm Gadai Camp, Orcs after the patch you added two weeks ago and HC, so I completed the quest for the Nightbane Robe and gathered some +INT gear, which is enough to handle soloable mobs at level 25 and higher. I just kill 1 mob and sit down for mana regen, in the meantime I do something else on the computer. I don’t like grouping because it increases the risk of dying and wastes time. Additionally, the game lacks fast travel, so getting the group together takes a lot of time, not to mention the need to return to my solo farming spot afterward. I also hate situations where I join a group, and then the tank or healer has to log off soon, forcing us to look for replacements, which is another waste of time. That’s why I prefer solo play. Once the Auction House is available, I plan to buy all the gear I need and continue playing solo all the way to max level.
I hit level 10 on my monk tonight and did my first split pull, it was the most satisfying feeling I've had in a game since the first time I split the triplets in NToV back in the Velious days of Everquest. I've been worried for the past 10 years that the monk class and split pull style was extinct in mmo's, so this is such a great feeling. Monk since 1999, so it's huge to me! I love this game! Mastery shards, I've been playing about 2 and a half weeks and I've gotten 3 or 4, I know sold one to vendor (knew they wouldn't be used for a while and needed silver for spells) the rest I put in my bank. I've gotten lucky I guess!
Man I really wish I could play this game! It just wouldn't run very well on my computer :( Perhaps one day I will get to join you all, looks fantastic !
Joppa I have been really enjoying the game quite a bit lately but I have some thoughts. I find it extremely difficult to find groups so I do a lot of soloing, which is fine. However, I don’t understand how mobs are able to run around like a chicken with its head cut off while near death when low on health. When my character is low on death, I become slowed and very weak. I dont have any root ability on my warrior, and while near death these mobs run and aggro everything. Its not fair that mobs can run away so fast while low on health but players get slowed and chased down every time… I like that the game is difficult but I feel this could be toned down a bit. Keep up the great work!
Save big hits for the end of the fight! They DO slow down at low HP but it's LOW HP, like 5-10%. So holding back at 33%, saving some chonky hits can help a ton. Also, don't forget crafted items ;)
As someone who plays a necromancer character, equipping the skeleton pet with a shield seems useless atm, because the pet never seems to block any attacks. Will this be fixed at some point?
Necro should have a DoT Burst ability where you insta remove the DoTs to do Direct Damage burst. Could help with group play allowing damage to be done more rapidly. Pets need unique gearing - corpse parts used to equip them, worked well in Vanguard, and since it is a unique mechanic it is much easier for you to control (as opposed to using in game loot)
Ha! I was just complaining about the sprint tick sometimes not stopping accurately. Wasn't sure if it was latency or the bar pixels being slightly off.
Been playing a lot of this. Love the game and it really captures the feel of older MMOs while modernising a lot. I watched your latest livesteam but can't comment on Twitch sooooo... On the issue of class composition in group content, the holy trinity is still alive and well. Direlord/Warrior, Cleric and Enchanter are basically must have classes if you want your group to pump through the content in a quick, fun and safe manner. No other classes hold a candle to the enchanter when it come to pulling and splitting camps and that is a real shame. It feels like a niche that Monks (who would really benefit from a single target at a time mez for their pulling), Rangers (lull/harmony), and maybe rogues (sap) should be able to take up but they currently lack the tools to make them even 50% as effective as a halfway decent Enchanter. I know the bard is coming and will probably outstrip the enchanter as a puller but that doesn't really fix the issue because it just expands the must have class from Enchanter to Enchanter or Bard. Paladin is franky shit when it comes to this group make up because they are too reliant on AoE effects to synergise well with the Enchanter, which is odd in a game where you are really only fighting one thing at a time anyway. Not enough classes have interrupts either. Cleric feels like a class that should have a stun but doesn't. It would suit their melee healer role really well, even one on a longer timer (say 2 minutes) would make their combat side more engaging than it currently is. They lack of active choices in an offensive capacity. I know a lot of groups take a steady as she goes approach to group content but that pains me and if you prefer the more edge of your seat style of group play, class options for crowd control/pulling control are way too limited.
any idea when you will be able to fix the monk feign death? also something to break root or snare to help with pulling. I like your idea of making flury a proc on auto attack. Monks could spend the time back at the camp during the fight after a pull to build resources back up before pulling again.
Ok, i have a huge Questions.. About the Warrior or the Shield user at all in Pantheon. Right now i am a level 22 Warrior and try to figure out how Shield really mitigates any kind of physical Damage. I tryd same Color and Type of Mobs with different variety of Weapons. 2h Axe , 2x 1h and 1h + Shield. Since the Last update of Shields, with Buff Food and Banner i get up to 45% of Blocking. The problem is neither the Mitigated Inc Dam changes with 2h vs 1h + Shield, or i see a message, like when i parry or blockl. Right now the only Point why i use a Shield + 1h is because else i cant interrupt / silence and my block Dam Ability. Maybie someone here can help me and give the hint to the missing point.. thx in adv. and thx for the great Game yet.. already 280h in it and i love it like the same as in good old EQ1 and VG times..
Got one few days ago and didn't really understand the significance of it until someone told me it's got a 0.01% drop chance. I dunno if that is factual.
Joppa - Love the visibility on Pantheon Development. Perhaps I missed it, but is there any plan to allow the Shaman Pet to scale with level?? Currently the wolf is unable to hit anything level 20 or greater.
Flurry as a proc option instead of active use????? Heck yes that'd be so cool to have that flexibility to auto-dps with it and then use it to finish off a mob or in burst damage emergency etc.
Joppa, just wanted to say I like the way gear drops are working now.. it's nice getting stat gear early on.. however, it shouldn't drop off of solo yard trash, you should need a group. IMHO solo should be for leveling only.
Im a single dad, And i have to say, a map would be amazing for the short burts that i can game nowadays. I get not all pepole want it 100% valid, but maby make it an option for those who misses out on gaming time by just running around. Great game tho, inspirational stuff my man!!❤
I played EQ from around release up until some time during PoP and I did enjoy the end game pvp raids a lot. Fighting over a boss kill that spawns once a week betweem 2-3 guilds during the actual boss encounter. What i didn't like about the end game pvp was how it turned into an endless clicky battle (adding instant click trash buffs to protect your good buffs from being removed).
@@HallyVeethese types of games were not never meant for pvp lol. Daoc, warhammer online those were pvp games. But pantheon and eq are better. If you want pvp play cs2, ow2 or dota2 I say
@DanielAnderssson better? The hell is that supposed to mean? PVP would work completely fine in these games, although it would only be the more hardcore type. No curated even playing field here. But I agree that a good amount of design would need to be fiddled with to incorporate it more naturally.
So with the ratman transformation shown can we potentially see other transformations and will they have skills and abilities that would make us want to actively use them?
@Joppavash Joppa, this may have been something that has been noted but Ranger's withdraw skill: if there is any terrain elevation increase behind the character, the skill fails to withdraw the character.
I'm enjoying the game so far; I think however the melee characters have too many abilities/skills, I hope one day some of them get merged. Remember how in EQ a warrior had 4 and a rogue had 5 that's it, so why was the game so good? It was the lore, the world the interaction and difficulty of the game .
Since you say you are drawing heavily from Everquest, will the skeleton pets for necromancers get a kick attack that they use automatically like they did in Everquest?
Tree form is in, and the idea is opposite of say, WoW. You don't run Cat Form for dps, in Pantheon you swap into Wolf/Tree for specific effects and then back out.
@@matimusmaximus I always tried to remember my other utility; dropping a clutch Bark Skin + Tranquility, obv brez and innervates, and a bit of mob control with Taunt/Bash.
@HallyVee oh interesting I was only wondering if there was any other forms since I think Joppa said something about that in the Druid video but I could be wrong. Switching often seems a lot more fun
Please add a /follow, make traveling long trips bearable especially when you need to crap or get a drink. Also rogues should get bleeding stacks as a passive on piercing, and make dire lords life drain ability increase per bleeding stacks. Essentially this could make a rogue a healer for dire lords in a group and actually give rogues some solo power, as well as making them viable dps later on it raids. Poison toxin should also act the same way. Double resting rate if concealed. And finally add a concealment bar to UI, then every light source has a -to concealment. So maybe a torch has -2 concealment but a non fire has -4. Then add spells that allow you to reduce concealment. Remove opportunity cost and shadow fall (also remove height requirement)and add a small stun. Then things like twin vipers can double position stacks, and the bleed thing can double bleed stacks. Making regent based poisons like one that heals you but does no damage to the enemy, one that does a dot, one that slows attack speed, one that causes reduced casting speed.
I'll never understand the suggestion of removing the height requirement on Shadow FALL. Its whole purpose is to descend on an enemy from above. If anything, the height requirement should be INCREASED (but so should the damage)
Whoever said Rework the necro was the silly person that got thread closed on discord for being loud and wrong trying to make a 1 to 1 comparison to EQ Necro for some reason.
You're killing me with these three hour videos, watching you read text. Please start making a script after the podcast and sum these up in a concise, organized manner.
If you make group content easy enough that a solo/small group could do it very slowly/dangerously it could fix both problems guys... Solo get to do the content while groups can do it much fast/safer. Just don't make the XP cut while grouped so bad it isn't worth it.
Summoner minions summned shield does not give the minion block rating. Also as for the solo topic, in this day and age where the non losers have real jobs, there is 0 way for a game with no solo content/too slow to level solo content to survive in this market. I have had trouble getting groups after the first couple of weeks and now find solo too slow to bother with so I stopped playing. I know its just my choice but I know others will start to get frustrated and stop as well. When the game feels like work they will find somethng else thats FUN to do.
The problem is all of this was true back then as well. I had a full-time job and children while I was playing eq and raiding in wow. Y'all are just going to have to do what we did, schedule play sessions with friends. It's one of the main reasons adults tend to stick with adults and don't game with children. Children don't have a schedule.
@@HallyVee Dude I remember being in NTOV and Sleepers until 4am and being at work for 6am. I know all about "how it was back then". I know that after doing that type of playing for 15+ years that its now worth doing anymore. and with todays world times more of a limited resource with friends, kids, the spouses who do not play.
And Chevron is a old gas company. Ditch this name asap. Also self buff drains on DL and necro are too short for the mana cost. They need to be 15 min min. Casting every fight leaves nothing to cast anything else. Lower cost on DL and more than 1 on necro. This would allow to weave them in during fast fights and still upkeep the buffs. 15 min is short enough to not feel like micro management
Any examples? Can't think of a way the engine itself would limit mechanics. The real concessions Unity forces are in high-end performance in terms of networking and graphics. I can't think of a single game mechanic that I could not personally program in unity.
Speaking of listening to us, could you get rid of the first layer of rain closest to the camera? I'm not sure what it is, but it's unbearable for me at the moment. It's sort of like an agoraphobia response or something, triggers me pretty badly to where I don't even want to play the game in the rain. I think just removing the large particles closest to the user would fix. Please.
Anyway we could get a way to switch professions in game? Might help with testing Would be nice if a skill is getting boost because of something like weather that icon flashes or something?
Necro is a support vs all and a dps vs undead. It should be the opposite. Diseases and corruption kill the living. Necros are known for control over undeath not destroying it. We already have undead damage dealers with paladin and cleric. We dont need all of this undeath killer stuff. There are 3 melee dps and only 2 caster dps. We need another caster one not 3 support options. Bard and enchanter are enough support options.
Cleric is incredibly simplistic and boring to play. The class needs an overhaul. Skill ceiling raise. Auto-attack shouldn't be the only viable option for dps output solo either. Replacing the handful of cleric spells and abilities you have with the same spells and abilities 'but slightly improved', and having _that_ the entire class progress path from lvl 1 to lvl 40 isn't good enough. Needs more options--don't care if class is weak or powerful, but it needs to be fun and engaging. Currently it's little more than the vague thought 'a heal spell' get on that!
I'm a bit confused about priorities, there are a lot of skills that are currently doesn't work (discord feedback) and at the same time team is working on a druid. I'm at least happy that there is some progress going on, but still confused.
The problem is all the additional scope creep. At some point, no new features and to polish what is already there otherwise it will be another three years or more before getting 1.0. A road map of priorities is what is needed, so we all know what is coming, what needs to be tested. Every stream I watch, there is a lot of hesitation on design choices and direction which at this point should be figured out by now. It’s been ten years, things strayed far from where they started. I don’t want to dwell on the past, but let’s be real as well, as another engineer, scope creep is real and at this point they should be focused on the MVP until 1.0. Get what’s in working and fully fleshed out before all the extras.
Look forward to these always. There are times I love this game and hate it too (got mob trained and lost all my xp that I was able to get in Caves tonight) But the great times far outweigh the not so good ! Already 120 hours in and with so much more to come. Get to da Joppppa ! - Also I am begging more shards EU its getting so hard to find solo mobs at peak times. Thanks !
It worries me that Joppa just streams and plays the game and answers questions....like hardly showing that he's developing anything. Is he just streaming all the time to try to make more money? There are so many bugs and issues, just read the discord its filled with issues. Like he just runs around doing nothing and seems clueless about stuff like some mobs on this stream were evading and he had no idea why. He has mobs socializing and not knowing why. I cannot see this game finished in 2 years. That just isn't happening.
a great game ..if it will be solo friendly and AND PVP servers ... and some mingames ..if they want to be like vanilla / old school mmos like ultima etc DAOC .. added some pvp minigames like battle grounds area vs area ..factions etc ...WE need (old mmo players) to have waht to do i cant grind mobs and fights snakes and fish all day long .. il just quit ..i want to have mroe to do ,maybe bounty hunting system, penality system maps with supression firleds like if is below 50% u can atack players like -/+ 10 leves players and if is -50 % is map open for being attacked ..and most elites zones should be all pvp enabled ( of course no corspe loot or anything) but devs can add some kind of reward if u got a kill in open free pvp zones... people REALIZE this .. a multiumpalyer co op -or wth sheeet multyaction runing game ..will suck allot, kill mobs talk with others ok and ?? get shiny armor ? dont forget people OLD school mmorpg Daoc/wow/ultima/everquest were old but gold because they got some kind of pvp in it now ..we got asian crap with pay 2 win ..they have superb pvp but u need to pay to be strong ..so we need a rela old school mmorpg with lets say 60-70% pve but 30-35% pvp ballance is important but if is rock papper scisors and sometimes rock beat paper is ok with skill and gear but for certain with no pvp .. u guys will lose poeple, ot u need to hire 200 new minions to create new dangeons and maps every 3-4 months and that will kill your game for sure pve nerds will sry ..we dont havw what to do at end leve ..well lets make some parts of the map very dabgerous and rich and with pvp .. so people can play ither pvp or pve , at Ashes of crap is a zerg guild drama ..is not solo firendly ..if a mmo is not solo friendly couse some dont want to talk in voice or dont want to lick soime pirate gangbango girlyman clan lider to get into a guild and be succesfull bye bye .. so make a real good mmorpg and ok u lsite to people etc but a mmorpg with no pvp servers or some kind of pvp in it is waste game as mm
Game was fun while character was growing in power and had spells to look forward for. This ended at about level 20 on Shaman. A level 20 shaman pet will not defeat a level 3/4 snake nor will it consistently against targets your level. This is bad design. A grey group mob will destroy you regardless of how out leveled you are. Named rares, like Bitter Bone, good luck if you can’t get a group together because of server populations. There’s nothing on a shaman to prevent the silence or to interrupt casts. Basically if your pet doesn’t interrupt, you’re dead or running it off. Who thought having the same spell effects past level 20 as upgrades was a good idea. I already have a slow that last 2 minutes and does 25% why do I need another 2 spells with same effect but they cost 6g-50g. They both give 25% slow for 2 minutes. What’s the point. The other three spells, upgrade to Mantle and one other. That’s nothing to look forward to. How about actually fixing the shaman pet- something is seriously not working right for damage. Test a lvl 20 shaman pet against every level snake any mob with no buffs and then with buffs and you’ll see the wolf nearly die in instances. Then crafting is such a pain- Alchemy is not fun having to create spreadsheets of all randomly created items because there are no recipe hints in any zones besides Wilds End. Then it doesn’t save the recipe when you discover it. I spent hours doing different combinations and realized- okay I’m done. This game is not for me. People that thought this kind of crafting is revolutionary - they are catering to different crowd. I really wish you wouldn’t put systems in game until they ready because at every turn you run into an area that is not done and instead of focusing on one area- they are off creating a Druid class. Players should be able to switch crafting professions without having to reroll an alt. Alchemy is such a pain for the reward. Really I stopped playing because of this and Shaman abilities and their pet. I tried a Ranger thinking that it was like an EQ ranger but they are no where even close. I’m confused- I thought Brad wanted a game like EQ but this has strayed from its vision. I’m convinced devs probably played EQ2 and not actually EQ1. The whole grouped mobs concept is just annoying.
Sounds like Early Access games aren't your style. Also why would a pet be able to beat a mob? Wouldn't you want to be involved? What is bad about that?
@ Companies really need to do away with early access with no timelines in place for the finished product. The pet is based on your level and I am level 25. If I send it against any lower level non-group mob without buffs, it will lose 85% of his health or die depending on creature abilities or poison. A level 25 vs a level 3-15. The crafting profession, Alchemy, is such a pain in the but to get materials off creatures. It’s just not very time effective without blowing through a ton of mana. We are already the slowest in terms of dps, even clerics are better. Being able to a least do lower level creatures effectively with your pet would make some sense. With buffs the pet loses 60% or so of health. We talking out grey mobs here, a red vs a grey. This can be done at any even con or dark blue con- you’re going to be involved in the encounter at these level ranges and when creatures flee- you’re thinking, oh your pet will finish it up so you don’t have to blow even more mana, but that’s not the case. For the next minute you’ll be watching the pet miss, hit for 6, miss, miss, miss, hit for 12, miss, miss, etc. That cannot be working correctly. I’m convinced developers haven’t not played past 20 to understand their class mechanics and how they work. There is limited content that is unlocked past 20. This EA argument is really non sense. The game has been in development the last ten years. If classes are not work appropriately, systems not. Then don’t put them in the game until they’re flushed out. The cap should be level 20 until remaining systems are in place. There’s little support of forums or engagement with developers. The only avenue is discord or here in comment sections.
The problem with this, and the reason they were so long in eq, is because it makes it too easy. It should be both scary to engage in combat and to explore. That's why aggro distances and leash distances exist.
I’d agree. They leash way too far for no apparent reason. If you commit to running they typically can’t catch you, so you just end up running across the zone.. seems a bit excessive.
if solo is too good they wont bother with socialising and it is a group/raid focused game, what's hard to understand Joppa ffs? Groups should always be better than soloing. Else people just do their own thing. ITs the exact same reasoning as people being against boxing a lot of chars so you do not need others. Tbh. I fear for Joppas weak standpoint on the focus of the game. It is like he's in conflict if he wants to stay true to brads vision.

But I love this game and I knew I was going to make this my MMO and now that EA is here it's just cement that feeling for me welcome back man glad to have you
I think a lot of us wrote this game off at some point, but glad we’re here together sharing this experience.
Chat on the screen? Yep, you're a big boy streamer now Joppa!
YES! CHAT included Finally!! Bring on the Druid
I'm desperately excited for the druid
The streams are always great and informative. Among other things. Lol. Cant always catch the whole stream happy to see the VOD uploads.
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO US!!!!!!
New player, a world of Warcraft retail/classic refugee. I am a few days in and in love with this game! I appreciate you!
A lesser version of flurry as a proc sounds great as long as we keep the actual activated attack at the same strength.
I actually like Wilds End more then Throne. The feel of the zone is so good.
Loving the game so far! I love the itemization. The quests feel so satisfying compared to other MMOs.
Ok, the WISP idea in WE is a great idea - that zone is so brutal to try and level up in and navigate, not enough landmarks
I wish we could remove auto attack from the hotbar
I believe there are request in discord on topic of hot bars to allow flexibility within their constraint
Agreed, it could be made as a macro.
@ericbrown1132 right I mean they have it to where you can right click to auto attack so I don't need a button on my hotbar
Then it would be one space shorter, your hotbar is 8 + auto attack. Without it we'd be back at 8.
Joppa I'd say the wisps idea in Wild End sounds good, but in some mythologies, wisps lead you to disaster or mischief. Just something to consider ;)
Yep, same happened to me, and some people may drop the game if they start in the current Wilds End
Yeah and with Elves being one of the most popular fantasy races, it's kinda wild to have it be so bare
If you aren't on one of the larger servers, then WE is literally a dead zone.
It just wouldn't run very well on my computer :(
Perhaps one day I will get to join you all, looks fantastic !
Woot Redbeardflynn.
They NEED to add at least 1 row that can be shared bank more than anything else.
Never found a mastery shard or heard about anyone getting one to drop.
Like the Wisp idea 🙂
My halfling rogue is named 'Dagger' on Aevos
Nice!
He squish.
I die.
Im a single dad, And i have to say, a map would be amazing for the short burts that i can game nowadays. I get not all pepole want it 100% valid, but maby make it an option for those who misses out on gaming time by just running around. Great game tho, inspirational stuff my man!!❤
People seem to think Druids will enter broken to stop too many rerolls.🤷♀️✌️
what if we had some way to slightly regen mana and health lolz
I played EQ from around release up until some time during PoP and I did enjoy the end game pvp raids a lot. Fighting over a boss kill that spawns once a week betweem 2-3 guilds during the actual boss encounter. What i didn't like about the end game pvp was how it turned into an endless clicky battle (adding instant click trash buffs to protect your good buffs from being removed).
Yeah, I don't even PVP and even I think it's exciting to fight over a raid boss. 40 on 40 PVP followed by a full boss followed by loot. Yes please.
So with the ratman transformation shown can we potentially see other transformations and will they have skills and abilities that would make us want to actively use them?
make sure to wipe everything as often as possible so I have to start again at level 1 that's my favorite
@Joppavash would track corpse for a Ranger be something that could be implemented?
@Joppavash Joppa, this may have been something that has been noted but Ranger's withdraw skill: if there is any terrain elevation increase behind the character, the skill fails to withdraw the character.
I just hope yall make items have staying power via clickies. I carried around Pegasus cloak in my bags for 10 years in EQ.
Joppa is ISFP.. artisan outcome based creator strong sense of identity
Climbing should be harder in the rain and currents heavier.
Are there any plans for a rage based melee class like berserker from EQ2? We need a melee dps option thats not a leather wearing sissy pants
something wrong with feeling like something works in this community?
When did you say druids were coming out?
Hes constantly streaming for utube views, probably never. Lol
Bards NEED blue armor!
Since you say you are drawing heavily from Everquest, will the skeleton pets for necromancers get a kick attack that they use automatically like they did in Everquest?
Will Druid have other shapeshifts besides the wolf form you showed? And will they have any specific utility to them in combat or how does that work?
Tree form is in, and the idea is opposite of say, WoW. You don't run Cat Form for dps, in Pantheon you swap into Wolf/Tree for specific effects and then back out.
@HallyVee i like that so much better. I got real tired of being a cat/chicken in wow
Switching often seems a lot more fun
tyvm for not outcasting solo players that's what we get for not being able to find a group or one fitting to our style
Until you get dragged into mobs afk 😂
Do not add features that makes boxing easier.
Make it as obnoxious as possible.
I'll never understand the suggestion of removing the height requirement on Shadow FALL. Its whole purpose is to descend on an enemy from above. If anything, the height requirement should be INCREASED (but so should the damage)
Love the game but could shaman please get a higher lvl pet?
About solo experience, you perfectly described me. I don't group because at home I can go afk every 5 minutes or so, and it would be fatal for a team.
Whoever said Rework the necro was the silly person that got thread closed on discord for being loud and wrong trying to make a 1 to 1 comparison to EQ Necro for some reason.
Do NOT bend the knee to the scarcity complaining ritalin kiddies.
Scarcity = good
You're killing me with these three hour videos, watching you read text. Please start making a script after the podcast and sum these up in a concise, organized manner.
stats mean something lol what the actual fuck :D
Please give us an AH and in game mail.
That would be nice.
If you make group content easy enough that a solo/small group could do it very slowly/dangerously it could fix both problems guys... Solo get to do the content while groups can do it much fast/safer. Just don't make the XP cut while grouped so bad it isn't worth it.
The content is great, love the vision.
Cut back on the nose candy, constant sniffing is annoying.
Your guys are really going to wanna get out of Unity soon. It sucks a bit for more complex mechanics.
Please.
It's all I see when it's raining, very distracting and anxiety inducing.
Anyway we could get a way to switch professions in game? Might help with testing
Would be nice if a skill is getting boost because of something like weather that icon flashes or something?
There are multiple programmers and designers. Many things are happening in parallel.
True

Joppa....where are the different SKIN TONEs. Joppa in the box, jack in the box looking mofo
The only avenue is discord or here in comment sections.
seems like you are really against cool stuff :)
Enchanters were OP in EQ. Ench/cleric combo could camp almost anything
The mob leashes are way too long. Shorten them by more about half their current state please.
The problem with this, and the reason they were so long in eq, is because it makes it too easy. It should be both scary to engage in combat and to explore. That's why aggro distances and leash distances exist.
@@HallyVee I personally like the long leashes. It's scary that mobs keep chasing you when you expect them to give up and run back.
@@bigguy130 plus it makes the guards way more badass.
I’d agree. They leash way too far for no apparent reason. If you commit to running they typically can’t catch you, so you just end up running across the zone.. seems a bit excessive.
Do you ever wash that beanie seriously? Why can I only make white dudes? What's the issue here
if solo is too good they wont bother with socialising and it is a group/raid focused game, what's hard to understand Joppa ffs? Groups should always be better than soloing. Else people just do their own thing. ITs the exact same reasoning as people being against boxing a lot of chars so you do not need others. Tbh. I fear for Joppas weak standpoint on the focus of the game. It is like he's in conflict if he wants to stay true to brads vision.
If you can't solo well enough, the game will be filled with boxers
