Instead of tying knot in the end of the rubber band would it not be more streamlined to simply make little hole in it and slide it over the jigs eye? ;)

Neat. But if you use barbless hooks then obviously this won't work. ;-) There are other videos out there on making weedless hooks that don't require a barb.
I just can't work how how this doesn't lose you fish, as surely anything around the hook point will be detrimental to setting the hook in the fishes mouth.. Or am I wrong? Does it hook the fish just as easily as a naked hook? I know you say the rubber band slides back but I just hate the idea of anything around the hook point.. I guess I'll try it myself and find out! If this works then brilliant tip 👌👌

The hole wouldn't be as tight as the knot though.. I'm guessing it could easily pop off the eye if it hits any weed or snags
