Remembering Simone carrying four babies in her tummy, she blew up looking like 9 months pregnancy. Everyone thought she was just gaining weight but I could see she struggled climbing on the railing to look for bird seeds. That was very hard for her to do, a heavy load of four little babies plus pregnancy weight.
There is a Ring clip of Amazon delivery and the homeowners watching remotely, in a panic. Bear and human passed each other and the parcel was delivered.
So wonderful to think that they’re learning everything, every day, from that wonderful mother of theirs. And it’s great that Patrick keeps a respectful distance, and that they learn to do the same!
She TRUSTS you! For her to turn her back to you, leave the porch, with her cubs still up there (or even let them between you and her) is pure trust. How incredibly special! 🧸🐻❤

I’m in U.K. and I get scared if a fox is looking in my window as beautiful as they are god knows how I would be with a bear I cannot ever imagine how big they must be up close 😮

So super adorable what's not to love. One looks like the smallest of her babies, but seems very independent. I love the way he climbs the porch rail right in front of Mom not worrying if he throws off her balance. Thanks Patrick, always so interesting and enjoyable. They all have my heart.
Mr. Conley is so right when he says that the cubs are lucky. They have a great mom, and there is always someone to play with. I see that the cubs have learned that they can climb down the stairs to get off the porch, which is a relief.
I remember how cautious of you Simone was when she brought her first cubs over; amazing how much she trusts you now. Fascinating inter-species interaction because I can't imagine she'd be as trusting of an adult male bear that close to her cubs.

Mr. Conley -I appreciate this footage so much - I live in coastal SC - we have black bears, but they wander through and do not stop to visit - they sometimes woof or clack their jaws at us! Simone is extraordinary -all the bears are - and so is your relationship with them. I bet a trail camera would give you even more sightings and probably some foxes as well! This is the second day in a row where Simone laid on the deck. I'm not sure what that means. She's just staying with her babies, or she's showing you her trust. I like telling people from other countries about you and Simone and her babies. It's fascinating to all of us. ❤
Simone's fur is so healthy and thick now. I just hope it stays that way, she had lost so much fur last year when her previous teddies just got too much for her. After she had sent them on their way, heartbreaking as it was, she recovered so well but of course she got pregnant again, like any healthy girl bear should every two years. So far so good, both mother and teddies are healthy. Let's hope her fur stays so beautiful this time round! It was heartbreaking to watch her going bald last year, we were so worried about her!
