Great video on this subject. With needles nose pliers, the rope can be changed without removing pulley. Wear glasses as spring can fly. The starter assist spring can bend or twist. Two-stroke engines have compression once per crank revolution. It was design to soften the feel for home owners during pulling. If ordering, get a 5pc bag. I weld so two passes side by side eliminate it from problems. Pull start ropes out to 2/3rds of installed length, then using a black marker, put a 1 inch line on the rope. This will allow anyone told to stop pulling at this line. This saves headaches as you need it to run now. String trimmer, snow blower, tiller, boat engine (If equipped). This is plastic parts so NEVER use carb spray! Soap & water + old tooth brush. 409 & WD-40 works as cleaners. A drop of oil works but does attract dirt. So, I you do maintenance and file blade teeth, lower rakers and tension chain right, it will last. Boat stores get tanks with every engine & have to be installed down. But, many have tank in boat built in. The parts dept may give you a 3 gallon tank for asking as they have 219 tanks stacked. Add half-turn plastic valve with 3-4" of hose, add oil at 40 parts fuel to one oil (1 per gallon) no mess fill up and easy storage.
