One intuitive way i found to memorize the "numbers" is, if you are familiar with boxing, there is the famous "1 1 2" and "1 2" punch combinations you learn. 1=jab, 2=cross, and is usually left jab and right punch...so thats how i memorized it :D
i didnt need an explanation for any of the topics youve covered at all, but let me tell you that your video is amazing and will for sure be a big help for newbies coming to tekken & fighting games in general. keep it up, your content is a lot better than what your sub count may give away at first!
Great video! But a slight misconception on point 10: In Tekken 8, there's only really one type of Scrubs. People who use the god damn L1 mode, throwing out the same 3 moves for days while not being able to do a single combo with more than two inputs with L1 disabled. (I mean, those scrubs are easily punished and beaten for this, but it's just insanely unfun and those guys will never get good at Tekken if they keep playing with L1 mode)
Meh. You tricked me into watching my first tekken 8 vid 😂 I've been avoiding tekken 8 as I've only really been playing 7 for a couple of years. I thought that I'd leave it another ten before I get around to playing 8 😁 Also, I've always thought of the 1,2,3,4 notation as 'left punch/arm, right punch/arm, right kick/leg....ect' Still, good vid as I had been wondering if the stupid rage thing was in 8 or not and wondering what the 'heat' thing was. Being 'in heat' is something animals do during the breeding season so had me somewhat perplexed 😮. I for one would find a vid reviewing the differences between 7 and 8 interesting (if there's enough differences to make it worthwhile that is)
I'd like a video to know how to identify what stances do, if there are common patterns. Seeing a new characters with lots of stances feel like an annoying knowledge check -> Azucena.

Exactly
I usually confuse 3 and 4 though :D

Thanks for the kind words, just like to make the vids I wish I had access to when I picked up Tekken 👍🏻
This deserves a whole lot more views. Great work.
