If you would indulge me I do have one question (although somewhat unrelated to this specific video): In so many of your compositions and of course other dynamic orchestral pieces there is that wonderful swell with timpani and cymbal reaching its crescendo on the down beat. I need a little advice on how best to create this, preferably without having to pound out dozens of high-speed timpani beats with 2 fingers on my keyboard :) I wonder if there is a specific 'niche' library or a more direct way of accomplishing this. I thought that you might be the man to ask.
Absolutely! I use Cineperc for all my swells, they’re controlled by the modwheel. So you play a note that triggers a roll, and control the dynamics by modwheel!

For the price $49 it sounds pretty decent. Leg, long & shorts is to be expected. It really blends well with foundations and CSS to my surprise 👍🏻

Thank you Chris. Would these strings work with BBC SO Core?
I can help answer your question. I own all of Abbey Road ONE and I also own BBCSO Core. The answer is yes. Also, realize that Soaring Strings is a very specific type of sound. Try this if you buy it: Use BBCSO 1st Violins and BBCSO Violas and set them both on the Legato Articulation. Also, turn the reverb all the way down on both and use your own. I used Neoverb from isotope on the Warm Classic Hall preset. Next, load up Soaring Strings on the Legato patch and leave the natural reverb in the player on. Now, play these three Vsts together! This has given me the most beautiful sound for strings I have ever heard! So yes, they can easily blend with some minor reverb adjustments and dynamics. Hope this helped! -Mark
