There are a lot of titles. What we need is more resources, & educated teachers. Because every year more kids & adults are being diagnosed. If i do not step-up and advacate for my son, he would be forgotten or pushed aside. I had to get a social worker to help, because as a single mom i feel a lone. Plus i am sure i have similar issues, its just that i am not diagnosed.
    ThnkU😘

I have a special yellow card on my I.D. because of my Autism. It says I can go to health and wellness if I request it. That's another step in the right direction.

I found myself nodding my head in agreement when you mentioned that most people are aware of autism, and now it's time to begin Action to make places more inclusive. I believe that it's not just time for action, but also common understanding and acceptance of people on the spectrum as individuals that are to be respected and treated with kindness, and again understanding. Just as we teach our children that it's not right to ridicule those with obvious disabilities, it's time to include people who seem odd or different from them as well. I don't see people laughing or making fun of people with obvious disabilities... I think I'm dreaming again.

Thank you for the video. I agree with what you are saying, increasing understanding seems like a great next step. I wanted to note for your comment regarding wheelchair users and accessibility. While you are right about the improvement in providing accessible entrances and facilities, this is still not completely achieved as it is to an extent based on a quite standard wheelchair design, while some people can have specifically designed wheelchairs for their needs that can be wider/longer and so can make it difficult to access some places. This can then be more complicated regarding accessing specific services/facilities in places where some equipment may be required but not available (ex. hoists). So I guess the lesson from this is that there is still a lot of understand and development that is needed for lots of people including people with autism. Overall, what you are doing is great for providing some understanding. Thank you for the hard work!

Speaking of job interviews, I went through school in the special needs classes, and never fully understood the reason why? Anyway when leaving school to enter the world of work, I struggled in regard to what I call ongoing work, I had to rely on recruitment agencies, which were very hit and miss. When applying through main job applying sources, I got constantly overlooked. I only ever had what I would call one regular ongoing job, but that was through a friend, after that job I thought I would get a major breakthrough, only for me to be back to where I started off. Eventually I ended up going through, slow of learning work group Remploy, where I have with the last 7 years. I was against Remploy for many years, where I felt stigmatised. It was my friend who I was in the special needs class that, had me have a change of heart

I think that you have essentially hit it on the head when you said what you said about autism awareness and autism access... society really does need physical things that they can do to make life easier for people with sensory overload issues.
I'd also like to see businesses make more of an effort to reduce sensory overload as we go out to do things like shopping, too. Such a simple task is exhausting with all the sights and sounds that we are subjected to.

I love Halloween! And Christmas cus I love decorations and the colours that are associated with both of those, the black, orange, purple etc for Halloween, then the reds, greens and metallic colours for Christmas! I love certain colours like so much so when it's the season for them to be around everywhere I am so so happy ☺
Would love to see you do talks that would be great, I am from a tiny village near about 40 minutes or so from Cambridge, Milton Keynes and peterbourgh sort of in the middle of those so anywhere around there would be awesome but I would travel to wherever as long as I could afford to cus I love visiting new places and I love travelling, although I find new places scary I also really enjoy them too:)
I want to go to wales so bad as my friend used to go on holiday there every year and do the long walks to like pubs and stuff and she said it's beautiful specially the hills and wooded areas so that's where I want to go on holiday to next! ☺

ASD and coping with big changes like moving house. Would be really interesting to hear your thought on it. :)
Moving house is stressful for everyone so I don't know how the experience of someone with ASD might be different, or even if it would be different, I don't know?
Anyway it drives me crazy every time I move flats, not just the stress of moving, but mainly getting used to it after I've moved. Any experiences, tips, or insights/thoughts?
Great video today btw. Thanks as always :)

I would love to talk to you more about this. Kinda like a one on one addressing particular things. My son is 6yo and he has been diagnosed with Autism (aspergers) and is ADHD. Well he started school last year and I have had nothing but problems with the school. They (the school) have just classified him as having behavior problems. AHHH there is just so much to it. And don't want to throw it all out on here. If there is a way to go about doing that I'd appreciate it.

And I deliberately only go to movies that are blockbusters. I.E. the Marvel, DC or a Big Scifi film. And I always go for the afternoon showings. Usually quieter. As for quieter and more thoughtful films. I prefer to watch those at home because I find it hard to focus on them in cinema.

I've been wondering about that too but can't find much info on it. I'm trying to cut back on my own drinking since I've been relying on it a bit too heavily for the last few years to get through social situations. Social interaction is so much easier when you're drunk. I used to use it to make myself fall asleep when I had insomnia sometimes until I discovered THC edibles which are a lot safer to use as a sleep aid/nightmare suppressor, however being stoned makes it way harder to be social so if I'm hanging out with friends I'd much rather have a beer thanks. Still I am starting to hate the fact that I can't get through most conversations comfortably or even fall asleep without the aid of some mind altering substance. *sigh*
