    6:26 what we did so many times on the parking lot at Elgiganten Slagelse. Do you remember "folllow the king". Backwards, forwards, jumping, one wheel. Those were the days.

    Power = constant × distance / time
    therefore : how long × how many = how strong
    So you're saying : speed comes from power and power
    That's right but on earth we have air and the power needed to overcome the generated wind = constant × speed^3 × frontal area.
    At our speeds air is almost the only force so you can go as fast with half the power if you can have half the frontal area.
    You're right : power = speed and so do the two components of power, but I think you forgot posture. I have a lot of power but I can't skate low so I'm slower than thin powerless skaters that can skate low.

    That's mean you are suggesting to open up skate during sprint time with more heel power?

    Yeah I'm not sure about Europe but in the USA indoor inline speed skating on a 100m track seems to be far more common and the thing you end up practicing most are starts. Its generally recommended to do a down start unless you are really really good. After you get going though straight line sprints aren't advised since on such a small track pretty much all your power and acceleration comes from cross overs in the corners. Shout out to circle bucket drills lol.

    I am an Inline speed skater myself and wanted to try out Ice speed skating.
    But I don't really know, where to start, what to buy and so on. How do I mount a Blade on my skate boot? how do I position the blade? how do I maintain a proper clap blade? what is the proper Ice skating technique? How does an Ice Rink work for training (like the different lanes you should use for different things)?
    I know there is not that much of an audience on TH-cam for that, but there are even less Videos on that topic (If not none at all).

      You need Boots with 165 mm mount. For 195, there is nearly no Blade. I took my old Bont ZX2, but mounting was not easy to a Maple clap frame. I positioned it in the same way as for my Inline Skating boots. The technique is not so easy to adapt. Can you join a Speedsakting club, to get some advise?
