The lead singer was married to Eve Graham from the new seekers. He was in the band for a short time too. He sadly passed away un 2016.
If cuteness and enthusiasm could win Eurovision, Sally Ann Triplett would have walked it! 🥰
Kind of so-so at the time but seems like a work of genius compared to the UK's entries now.

This was always one of my favourites but didnt do very well. The lead male singer passed away a couple of years ago and the male singer with moustache is jay aston of bucks fizz brother

Written by Stephanie de Sykes who was born with a smile on her face. Sadly this didn't win but it still is a very catchy tune and today most would call it a guilty pleasure.

Johnny Logan deserves his win in 1980, but this song is very deserving of second.
This is my all time favourite British entry. I still think they should have won that year.

@@ruibento9840 Absolutely. You get more and more nostalgic the older you get, just wait until your parents or your siblings pass away. The pain is awful and the nostalgia becomes so strong. I haven't been truly happy since losing my parents.

You are so right I've just listened to maggie moons song I dont know how we can both remember it because it wasn't played that much on the radio because it didnt make the Eurovision or the charts so how is it that we remember it ?
Maggie Moone's "Happy Everything" is infinitely superior to this.
We do cheesy songs well. Would much rather something like this as the UK entry, than the stuff we enter these days.

Even though this was only months after 1979, the clothes style and colours seem more like the mid-80s than late-70s.
The hair style was typical late 70-s.
I was in charge of the milk at a convenience store one summer, and one of the types of cheese was called Prima Donna. The universe has a great sense of humor sometimes. XD
The Milk Monitor. A torrid story of how one convenience store worker controlled the calcium intake of an entire community. Must have been a f*** off big convenience store if there was a role “in charge of milk”. My local Co-op has three or four people working most of the time. Not sure any of them are “in charge of milk”. Do you list that role on LinkedIn?

One of the girls (the short hair girl) is her, and like you say, she was in ESC 1982 with the band Bardo.
Maggie moon should have been the entry that year.
Happy Everything is one of the great "lost" Eurovision songs has been covered by various artists since.
This would have fitted in one of the Wandavison episodes for sure.

Para nada, ojalá hubieran presentado algo parecido a ''Grease'' por esos años. Es más, tuvieron de representante a la propia Olivia Newton John (eso sí, años antes de que hiciese la película) y le pusieron una canción bastante ñoña; no fea, pero ñoña.

Is it just me, or are the only mics switched on Danny Finn's (lead) and the two sisters? I can't hear any other male backing, and the female "lead"'s is definitely not on. The BBC around this time did bend the rules and put extra backings backstage (both '83 and particularly '84 where the two onstage backings basically did nothing).
Sally Ann had her mic turned right down as her voice was drowning out the others. It's a shame as she had a great voice.

Must admit can’t remember this but then again it was about the time I started to lose interest in Eurovision but they were at least still trying to produce catchy numbers and had not quite tipped into the ridiculous as subsequently happened.
