The small string like spring inside the extractor acts as a loaded chamber indicator, as when the extractor rides the rim of the loaded round in the chamber, the rim pushes this spring and it protrudes and pops up on the slide side (near the ejection port), indicating that there is a round in the chamber.
While installing the extractor back in place, since the firing pin has to be all the way in. Hence, instead of keeping it all the way in by finger, it may be locked by first pushing the firing pin block down and keeping it pushed down, then by pushing the pin all the way in and lastly by releasing the firing pin block to pop up on the already inversed slide to keep the fully forward firing pin in a locked state. This spares the finger which was to be used for that purpose and makes it easier to install the extractor.
Hey man I can't find any diagrams or anything explaining how this they work I have better idea now but still not 100% shere can you make a part 4 on that?
@@gnutzguy sold it for the same price i bought it and now i am considering buying it again. I wish you could make more videos about disassemble/reassemble not so popular pistol like this one.
Loved your video. Had my gun disassembled. Had to go to a gun Smith to get it assembled. Wish you had posted it a few days earlier. I out the hammer back in but the spring was a problem for me. Didn't know where to put it. Had a doubt that its gonna go in but was afraid to apply force 😅
I would love to but unfortunately, our government banned new purchase of pistol two years ago. In a 16 months an election is coming so maybe the ban will be reversed. I hope
Excellent video! I did a "first time" disassembly last night (not to the level as you did on this useful video, it was just to clean the inside of the polymer frame). Anyway, after reassembling the slide/barrel assembly, I grabbed the trigger assembly to place back on the pistol grip assembly AND THEN a lateral pin slipped out, and then another (as I had no initial intention to strip the trigger assembly I never gave the mechanism a close look) Your video's a godsend for sure. however, do you still have the pictures that you took prior to disassembly? If so, could you share them with me? Your video is excellent but there are moments where I can't tell what I'm looking at (shadows). Thanks, and excellent video once again!
thats the disadvantage to close up and thats why i do a reassembly, normally i dont cos its just the reverse. hopefully you catch it on the reassembly.
i have done some searching for you and it looks like no one makes a kydex for cf98 but a dealer in canada said that a glock 21 holster will also fit a cf98. make sure you note the shape of the trigger guard is square.
Most? Yes, few minutes out of view, rather difficult recording with camera in front of my face but focus? Im using the latest canon camcorder and it was recorded and uploaded in 1080p. Perhaps, try using another device to view.
@@shahidrabbani1788 well, hopefully those few minutes weren't crucial to you. Besides, you can catch it during the reassembly. I normally don't do reassembly unless its complicated cos it's just the reverse.

I just want to know trigger Group works on the CF 92
You did a very good job, use the base white below and the camera is HD.
thanks
Best videos! Just wish you could upload it a while back before i sold my cf98
oh no... i hope you made money on it.

@@gnutzguy haha it is the best video on a cf 98 assembly/disassembly 👍🏻

You’re a life saver! Thank you for this video!!
glad to hear.
Hi. Can u help me finding a good kydex holster for cf98. Even any compatible holster will do. Eagerly awaiting for a reply.
Sorry, I don't know. I almost bought a leather holster made for QSZ92 in Canada but I read it wasn't good. Best you Google search in Canada for it.

@@moazzamali1269 i have ordered a couple of glock 21 holsters to see if they do fit the cf98 so check back.
Please consider my request and make a detailed video of Glock disassembly / reassembly (covering all Generations). Thanks a lot
Sorry. My government banned buying, selling, importing and transferring of all pistols, really sad
@@gnutzguy God. Its really sad to hear. Its also loss of gun enthusiast community here. I cant express my sorry in words
Thanks 🙏 God I did not disassemble the FCG 😅 The extractor was tricky enough!
lol. Nice work! when you are really, do the second half.
thanks bro for help us❤
It's my pleasure
Good guns np42🎉
This is a substandard military pistol.
Low-grade materials, rough processing, unreasonable structural design.
its ok cos the price reflects that.
@@gnutzguy may I ask, how much ?
@@user-steven2022 i already mentioned it in part 1but it was on sale for US$192 and US$207 to my door. regular price is US$230
