This is a great video! But for anyone who does care to read this if we are looking at a historic view of the American Frontier Era just know that not all buildings were in deserts or were entirely made out of wood. This is a very good video if you want to do stereotypical wild west tropes. This is still good and amazing though and is still helpful for people that are interested in this type of genre.
thanks!! and i really appreciate the additional insight :) you're totally right that what i'm building is a stereotypical wild west scene and isn't like what the American frontier was like at all
i actually looked up "wild west minecraft" on youtube since i wanted some knowledge on the wild west, some history, their life, and the way they survived and built houses, in order to incorporate this in my hardcore world. i have played red dead redemption, so making a wild west themed town in my hardcore world has been a project on my mind for a while, and i finally found THE perfect video to learn from! Red dead redemption and minecraft are my 2 most favourite games, so incorporating a wild west build really gave me excitement! Thank you so much for these tips, the video was outstandingly well made, i have liked and subscribed :) Amazing content! keep it up!
thank you very much my dude!! i really appreciated hearing this :) wild west builds are definitely really fun, i should get back to that style sometime...
Here's another thing to help you with your journey on making old west builds here is one remember your grandpa that you left in a retirement home to die well firstly go visit him hug him tell him how much you love him and watch some western films with him and then analyze those films and western tv shows and then you can get a good idea someday I suggest is The Lone Ranger because to me every Western is basically the same thing but seriously we all have those elderly people in our family that watch westerns from like the 1930s 40s or 50s most likely the 1940s or 1950s so yeah do that.
Very amazing video, but I do have to say that for anyone watching, if you are trying to go for a realistic feel then understanding how western villages, also known as boom towns were always created. When Railroad companies would build one mile of track, the government would give them 10 square miles of land on either side of the track. If gold, silver, or any other materials were to be found in this area by the company then the company would have miners do their job. Because there would be an abundance of riches, the miners would need a place to live, hence the boom town. Boom towns would only last for several months to at most 2 years, as once the gold was gone, the miners would work someplace else and bring along their families too. As you see in “The Outlaw Josey Wales” there is only a couple of people there. These people were the people that didn’t have a family and would just wind up there and stay there. Usually half the population was filled with these people. And there is your little bit of information on boomtowns. Some of the ending bit of information might be wrong but I know for a fact that you should always have a railroad nearby (as LeonSBU said) and a mine.
thank you!! :) unfortunately i don't have a world download up for this build. however, one of these days, i will (probably) get around to putting my builds up for download - almost all of my '7 Quick Tips' builds are in one of two worlds, it's just a matter of finding them all 😩
heck yeah 8)) i've started doing more cinematic intros in my 7 quick tips videos (see the most recent couple lol) and they're honestly really fun to put together when i'm in the right headspace for it
the world in this video was generated in Java 1.17, on the seed: -3295359819594314888 and the Badlands biome that i built the Wild West town is at: 4766 75 -2636 hope this helps! :)
i generated this world back in Java 1.17, so if you create it again now i can't guarantee that the world will load the same, but this world has the seed: -3295359819594314888 , and this build is at coords: 4766 75 -2636
this episode was VERY fun to put together....i hope you enjoyed :^)

Is there a way to dowload the map in the video? Those builds are sick!
thank you!! :) unfortunately i don't have a world download up for this build. however, one of these days, i will (probably) get around to putting my builds up for download - almost all of my '7 Quick Tips' builds are in one of two worlds, it's just a matter of finding them all 😩
I LIKE THE INTRO

great video, but just wandering so I built a jail made of stone, should that be made of wood to?
thx! and i think stone makes sense - you'll want something very sturdy and permanent when making a jail
massively underrated
thx my dude
Even though I love "old"(medieval) and "rail"(steampunk) build styles, wild west just isn't my type but great video as always!
Is that torso custom skin? It looks awesome!
ty! i didn't make it but it is definitely very cool
That saloon build tutorial?
TBH i'd completely forgotten about this saloon build, but yknow it was a pretty cool one! i will keep this suggestion in mind :)

what’s the seed you used in the video?
i generated this world back in Java 1.17, so if you create it again now i can't guarantee that the world will load the same, but this world has the seed: -3295359819594314888 , and this build is at coords: 4766 75 -2636
