Abandoned Train Tunnel 24 (NEMO Tunnel) In Wartburg Tennessee W/ Solid Axle Chevy S-10 on 40s

I drove my Solid-Axle Swapped Chevy S-10 up to Windrock earlier this year and made a stop by the Nemo Tunnel while we were there. This was before they closed it. As far as I know, the tunnel is still closed. Hopefully, they will figure out a way to re open it soon.

Could a standard size four-wheel-drive truck go through?

It could for sure. Much of the challenge depends on how high the water level is. I’m not sure if the tunnel is still open to the public. Last I heard it was closed.

The tunnel is on private land that the owner had allowed public access to, so long as they respected the property and stayed off active tracks. Of course that was all too difficult for people to do so it now has no trespassing signs and is closed.
