    She was born for this! I love that she talks about her life experiences and how she uses those to create "her" Fanny. Sure wish I could see this! Lea Michelle is a gem

      As much as I adore Lea and am beyond thrilled that she's finally doing it on Broadway, I pray no one gets that crazy idea in their head! A remake of the original would be like remaking The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind or the Godfather. Some films/actors can't be redone or replaced!

    genuine question - how does someone get 6 standing ovations? I've been to lots of broadway shows, but generally have only experienced one long standing ovation for the entire cast + crew. I suppose my question is, what counts as one unit of standing ovation?

    lol imagine having the privilege that you could rehearse completely separate from the cast and just be put in right before going into your first performance- and also being far less suited for the role than the understudies. Idk… we all gotta get a paycheck!

    • @SHap-gx1lq
      @SHap-gx1lq ปีที่แล้ว +20

      this comment makes zero sense.

    • @ToySoldiers
      @ToySoldiers ปีที่แล้ว +15

      How is that a privilege? Do you know how hard it is to lead a show without rehearsing with the cast and make it work?
      And how is she less suited to the role than Julie and the other girl? LMAO. Reviews say otherwise. Audience reactions say otherwise. Julie was averaging $600k before Lea came on and it shot up to $1.6 million the week she started.

    • @feelthejoy
      @feelthejoy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SHap-gx1lq how does it not make sense? Lea rehearsed completely separately from the cast and was plugged in. What part of what I wrote was confusing?

    • @feelthejoy
      @feelthejoy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ToySoldiers of course sales shot up - that’s why they put her in. Recoup the money. Sales aren’t a reflection of quality - I mean it’s not a good show anyway and didn’t need to be revived. My comment wasn’t a reflection on her talent anyway. As for the put-in, I’m not saying what she had to do wasn’t hard, I’m saying it’s super privileged to have people work around you in that way. They kept her rehearsals separate for multiple reasons, one of which being that she is difficult to work with and has a reputation for bullying other performers and crew.

    • @TMT-4869
      @TMT-4869 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      That's not a privilege lol. It's pretty much standard practice for new cast members to rehearse separately because producers don't want to pay for the whole cast's rehearsal time.
      If the producers paid for a full rehearsal with the cast, that would be a privilege.
