It was about sincerity of advocacy thats why USA topped and Laos made it. It's just the question was the Philipine team made aware of this before choosing a candidate? Our rep already had a problem with verbal expression which I knew will be an uphill battle already for the preliminary interviews. But what about advocacy. USA has topped as proven for 13y. It just so happens she is half Filipina. So if it's still the focus this 2023, would we now have a chance? It's not just about catwalk or eloquence in speech (English) anymore, gown or modeling.

Filipinos felt still won. That's resilience, and things get turned around for the good no matter how they seem.
Also I was there that night, I was there for 4 days to see preliminary, dress rehearsal and final night and omg it was good, seeing my country Peru do very well, obviously she didn’t do as well as she would have if she wasn’t. Well, it’s a bit of a drama but essentially someone messed with her dress and she had to change her dress last minute but it threw her off since it was a contestant. She didn’t want to call them out because she’s not about that but yeah, that happened. She still performed well and I’m so proud of her, and I’m proud of everyone else that competed. Seeing Harnaz was also great, I saw Catriona also ahhhh. I took a picture with miss Korea and miss universe 2011 leila Lopez. I will definitely try to go to miss universe next year in El Salvador
also thats so amazing you got to go throughout the prelims! it must have been so fun live. also i had no idea about the dress drama!! she did amazing regardless of placement. i heard the philippines have some drama too with her team :( but anyways yes it was so nice seeing the former queens!! also i hope you get to go thatd be so much fun!! my friend and i would love to if it was ever near the US.

USA won Miss Universe 2022, not 2023. The Miss Universe 2023 Pageant will be in El Salvador in December.
I can’t believe you guys didn’t even mention THAILAND or VIETNAM! I legit was crying when Philippines and Thailand didn’t make it because I just loved them so much since there was so much videos and promotions of them. BUT I think it’s justified, their performances weren’t great, they performed better at nationals. But yeah, Canada making it, and not gonna lie, Laos didn’t do well Douro v preliminary. Portugal also. There were some girls that were ehhh, but I was happy Peru made it since in peruvian haha.
omg i looooved vietnam! she was in my predicted top 5. im sad she didnt make it as far. same with thailand she was soo good! i know the philippines could have done better you could tell she was nervous that night and in the prelims. but also peru was amazing!! we loved her as well.

It's been a year since this video but it's inevitable to see the hatred you have for Amanda or Venezuela, which wasn't even in your top 16 when she was the most favorite in that edition and in the video you almost always ignored her. I love seeing the reactions of Filipinos but really their reaction is the most senseless I have ever seen. I'm sorry

wow! I used to love filipina queens, but this video literally made me feel like they hated Amanda from VE. I will show this video to all my latin American communities, so they can see with their eyes how Philipinos are with Venezuelan candidates. WOW. It was painful to watch.
