I am impressed, Extremely accurate multimeter with a very useful scope too. Yes the scope has limitation but for someone working on audio equipment this is almost a lab in a box. Great price and and easy to use. That was very comprehensive and unbiased review Tony, Thanks for sharing this with us. Ian
I just got mine in the mail yesterday and I thought I hope this scope and multimeter all work as advertised? After a bit of use and trying to figure out all the modes? It's an awesome meter!! It's a pity I can't check 240 volts on the X10 setting. Just for generator repair but still I'm very happy. Cheers from Australia subbed and liked ❤👍
Thanks for the review Tony, very interesting to see. I see they have missed the opportunity to adapt the analogue (full) scale to the digital one. For example the analogue scale stays at 0-100 and the digital was on 10mV full-scale. In that regard the analogue scale works the same as in an old analogue meter 🙂 Regarding the scope function, these cheap scopes in general most of the time have this wiggly wobbly sine wave. But yeah, could be useful maybe on site, or for somebody who has zero space at home 🙂
Thanks! , its a nice DMM for sure the scope upto 5 is realy usefull. its a great on the go scopemeter. Yes the bargraph even also has same sampling as the digits... its more usefull when samples faster then the digits
I have one of these as well as an Owon scope/siggen/DMM, This little one will be my backup/sacrificial one, but I do like the display and ergonomics better on the little one. It will be the one I keep handy. Two scopes can be revealing. Thanks.
Good review Tony. I bought the Aneng AOS02 about a month ago - which is the same meter. It has firmware 1.03.51. It works great. However it does have terrible trouble triggering on waveforms that really should not be a problem - for example a composite video signal. You set the trigger level on the sync pulse but it still jumps about constantly. Also when zooming and scrolling on a stored waveform it sometimes corrupts and draws random lines all over the left side of the screen. No reviewer has tried those things that show those problems! Also it is weird that there is no viewer for the saved screenshots - you have to download them to a computer. Anyway it is still great value for money and I like it. I believe there will be a two channel version soon.
@@TonyAlbus Thanks for letting me know! I have downloaded the update file. But before installing, I have messaged Zotek to ask if the update is ok to use on the Aneng model - just to be sure!
@@TonyAlbus Update! Zotek did not reply to my question, so I went ahead and installed 1.03.58 on my Aneng AOS02 - and it worked fine! It now remembers oscilloscope or multimeter mode after powering off and on. However it does not remember the multimeter function - it always starts at DC V. I have not done any further tests.
Hey Tony! Goed review, as always.
Hi. I have same multimeter and also I found it can measure white and blue LED diods more than 3 volts. I do not like the current measurementwhich shows on mA mode A and on A mA. There is 703 version and after wondering to buy it or not, ordered HDS 2202S which also has negative sides, but couldn't find something better for now. I have 5 multimeters at home and I think I must stop buying them for this year
@@TonyAlbus HDS 20202s arrived, but I don't like the buttons. When is on generator mode I can't stop it there is a lag and also gets warm. I might sell it
@@TonyAlbus I checked already, there is no another firmware for HDS 2202s. It stopes the generator, but not all the time, I placed it in Maarktplaats already :)
Hi , i did not have any range confusion, maybe because they show now very clear where to put your probes in in Amp mode, i did overlook the mV at first though. My device came with newer firmware then available on the website, this did solve the trigger level issue that Dave showed
Hi Nick, yes its perfect for starters. the scope works very easy with the auto setup button. The DMM is very good. look at the comments, even experianced users buy it as an extra.
There are a number of reviews of this unit but this has been the best because you know electronics, multimeters and oscilloscopes. Thanks. 🙏
Thank you sir!
I live in Istanbul, Turkey. I bought this device the day it first came out. I am very happy with it. It is a nice. Thank you tony
Hi thanks for the feed back, great to know it still works after a longer time also. greatings to Turkey!
Tony, I went a little crazy when I saw your iconostasis made of instruments :) Thanks, I'll get one for myself
Thanks!

Thank you Ian, its great for on-the-go as a quick grab. i love how easy it operates. the DMM is realy good.
Just ordered one on the back of your review Tony. Useful for quick diagnosis of faults without taking a load of kit 👍
Great Stephen! and the new firmware is now also out just today on the website
@@TonyAlbus Yippie - Mine has arrived. Quite good first impressions. Its got the .55 firmware on, but downloaded the .58 to put on it :)
@@Stephen_Heathcote Yeah!! congrats.. great! fun fun!
Really amazing for the price. I'm impressed with the multimeter accuracy. Thanks for the great video 👍
Thanks for watching!
I just upgraded mine, 13 Dec 24 and it installed V1.03.58. It was shipped with .43.
Thanks for sharing that!
Very nice equipment. The oscilloscope meters are very popular. 😎 Thank you Tony. Also, the cheap 12bit vertical hobby scopes are very cool.
Thank you! Yes i like it too. the +/- 7 MHz is fine for most stuff and the DMM is amazing accurate
Thank you.@@TonyAlbus
Very well done. Ordered mine and hope it arrives with newer firmware like yours.
Hope it arrives fast for you, i have notified ZOYI about the older firmware on the website, so maybe they fix that
Nice review. It's quite good!
Thanks, yes great especialy for its price

Ja is waar. ik heb ze gemelt dat op de website de oude versie staat, dus misschien zetten ze er een nieuwe neer binnenkort.

Ja helemaal mee eens.
Have you checked the "range confusion" issue with this meter (and the newer firmware) that some of these cheaper chinese meters suffer from ?

It says max voltage is 150V does that mean I cant use this to probe around with SMPS?
Yes the scope input is 150 Peak maximum i see
Hey Tony do you think this will be ok for a complete beginner who has 2 cents of stuff all knowledge and experience? I want one
Hi Nick, yes its perfect for starters. the scope works very easy with the auto setup button. The DMM is very good. look at the comments, even experianced users buy it as an extra.
Looks like it's sampling is not 48 MSa/s but closer to 20-25. At 48 MSa/s 10MHz sinewave should be rock stable.
Its good enough for its price
