I was at a wedding in New Jersey recently in a similar dated mansion/chateau. They converted it into a wedding/event venue. It had an almost identical French painted garden/cafe hall that opened into a bar area that opened into the cocktail area and ballroom. It had a large patio and garden, for the ceremony. Located in a very private secluded area. The renovations to the back of the house, made it able to convert to a venue. They also had to add fields of parking. It was a great idea, so that the chateau would not have to be razed. I enjoyed your filming. Thank You.
It’s a good idea to into a wedding entertainment venue, but I live in Toronto. I know that area very well and when I was young, I used to go in that area and imagine living in one of those mansions. There’s no red area that’s gonna invite any type of venue full-time wedding or any type of entertainment venue. This is the richest area in Canada the most expensive houses in Canada. In fact, Drake built a house in the couple years back probably one of the biggest houses in the path right now. Drake, the singer look it up. It’s a beautiful area the bright path. But when people buy there, they tear it down and rebuild a new one.
Grew up in house like this. The bomb shelter has angled hallways, thick doors to deter radiation. Separate water supply. Probably later turned into panic room, sound room, whatever. The upper floor was probably for staff. Nanny, maid, cook etc. what a beautiful home. So sad they couldn’t take out the hand painted floral closet doors, stained window, vanities, doors, knobs etc for re-sale. You will never see quality & detail like this today. In such great shape too! Could have turned into boutique hotel! Sooo sad! 😢
It makes me feel sick to know that all that wood work, marble, cabinetry and other fixtures and the astounding painting that was in the hall were demolished. Habitat for Humanity would have loved some of those things. My whole apartment would fit in that ballroom. The lights in the closet in the primary bedroom look like something an entertainer would need for costumes and the stained window in the bathroom is breathtaking. That Aerotone bath looks like a torture chamber. The room at the top of the stairway near the kitchen was likely for in house staff as well as the rooms on the top floor. Then, behind the thick door WOW. I can't believe how the sound changed in the next room you found. All that said, I can see why it was taken down. I've seen video of this house before but you covered so much more, thank you.🌹
What is heinous is the Uber rich is like-reduce reuse recycle- you will own nothing and be happy…while they destroy valuable property to build yet another gaudy Mac mansion.
You did a GREAT job on exploring this house. I am so glad you started at the front door and went through rooms in order. Some other people did this house and skipped rooms and jumped around, I had no idea where we were in the house. With you I was able to follow along where we were in the house, so again THANKS. I hope a lot of it was saved, before it was demolished.
Im betting I'm going to enjoy this video very much & probably sub because of your comment. Thanks! It drives me nuts when channels go into a house & don't show the whole room, they focus on some stupid piece of furniture or something on a wall, skip from room to room & very fast or so close up I can't get the layout of the whole room. Oops longest sentence ever, but you know what I mean. LoL 😆
Just a total representation of excess! Then to detroy the beauty of the wood, the art, fireplaces, the doors, is just a crime. This makes me sick that this happens!

50 people could live in that house and never see each other but once a year and if you got dressed to go shopping you'd be tired before you found the front door.

This classically beautiful mansion would never be outdated, nor the pink marble.. I’ve never seen anything like it, either…a glimpse into how the 1% live. Think of the cost of heating this house during a Canadian winter! To me, it’s a crime to demolish it, only to build an obscenely large home which wastes even more natural resources. This is the first time I’ve been on your TH-cam channel. Thanks so much for the magnificent tour.
Oh my goodness, absolutely unbelievable. I can't believe it to be demolished, it's dang near perfect condition. Some people definitely have more money than sense.
It is such a beautiful mansion... such a disgrace that it was getting torn down. Their is absolutely nothing wrong with the house, it's in perfect condition. I tell you the French and other Europeans would Never think of tearing down such a beautiful and extravagant mansion. Only in North America could this happen... what a disgrace!! 🇫🇷 🇺🇲
I dont know why they had to tear such a beauty down, but I want to believe they pulled stuff out for salvage. The beautiful wood work, artwork, floral engravings and the marble coloring on those fireplaces...my gosh, someone truly loved this place once.

What is wrong with people who have so much money that they can demolish a $40,000,000 home without the slightest hesitation and build another larger one that will one day also be abandoned?
This is an example of what money can get you, anything you want you can have at your fingertips. A home like this should never be Razed, I can not for the life of me understand why, this house is like being in another world !! 😮 WOW!!!!!!
It's hard to believe anyone would allow this home to be demolished !!"I would hope someone would step forward and stop any demolition! Incredible Beauty!
I feel like a lot of the doors and windows and bathroom fixtures could have been salvaged -it’s really a shame to think that it probably all got destroyed without any consideration of recycling it.
Thanks for your showing of this fabulous home. The sad craziest thing is how people with too much money build an outstanding place that cost a lot of money. And someone is going to destroy and tear it down. What a terrible thing to destroy all that beautiful place. It kinda makes me angry, for someone to come & tear it down. Uugh sad.
This was an amazing tour!! Such a solid piece of real estate. What a shame to demolish such art and amazing things inside! The windows in this place are amazing! I hope they salvaged everything they could before demolition. Such a waste. My heart is broken. 😢
Some people have more money than sense! Fancy demolishing such a gem! Doesn't matter that it's outdated, it would have been less expensive to update parts that needed it, like giving the pink room a coat of paint. I sincerely hope someone will recycle all the beautiful marble and wood etc! Such a shame to see it go! The plaster work in some of the rooms is gorgeous too. Great explore, thank you.🦘🤑🤨😟🥴😕
This is my favorite exploration video ever. What a fascinating place! And the bomb shelter was the icing on the cake. Thank you so much for exploring! 😍
All that kept going through my mind was all the people starving in this world, families struggling to make ends meet and the homeless suffering every day while some people can live like this.
Some people just have too much money.. There is so much wasted space in this place...No one needs that many rooms (most of which were probably never used) Crazy.@@collettepuryear3408
I absolutely love this mansion and the design time frame! I loved the kitchen and the staircase, the library or study with the beautiful wood, the arches, and so much more. I guarantee I love this more than any new updated larger mansion they are going to build. Newer, more modern and bigger doesn’t always mean nicer and better! I’m so disappointed they demolished this beautiful mansion! What a waste! The pink ballroom reminds me of a scene I saw of Charles & Diana’s story where he’s visiting her sister at their home and Diana is sneaking through in some costume supposedly trying to hide from Charles because her sister said not to be seen (but she wanted to see him) and they start talking. It totally looks like it from the doors on each side to the three arched windows or French doors in the middle! I haven’t even finished watching this yet! But thank you for filming this! Do you travel all over to get videos of these abandoned mansions then since this one is in Canada? I also take it you travel with the other guy that I’ve been seeing and hearing in the background of the last several videos I’ve watched.
There just has to be one heckuva good reason for demolishing this totally beautiful mansion because nobody would waste this lovely place. There's more ornate woodwork and hardware in one room alone than most people have in their whole houses. I sure hope that some of these treasures can be saved and reused for future projects.
He's two foot in the house and i'm already mad they tore it down! they should have let a salvage crew come save those fireplace mantles and some of these cool details!

This should have known the love of a happy family busy with parties and lots of children. So sad. It deserved much much more.
The architectural details in that home are amazing. It’s crazy they are tearing it down to build a home 2.5 times the size. What a waste of nearly impossible to find natural stones. Too bad materials can’t be recovered before demolition. Some updates on dacor but home is not out of style. I worked on many in Naples FL when i lived there, also originally from. Very good explore and camera work and editing.
Shame this beautiful house got demolished. It was a real beauty. Saw 2 pictures a couple of months ago of it being demolished. Sucks. I bet what gets built in its place is butt ugly. Stay safe Noah.
What an incredible tour! And I was thrilled to read the Toronto realtor comment. The small rooms upstairs of the kitchen/back stairs with the carpeting vs the hardwood and the small bathrooms are the staff/housekeeper quarters. Absolutely epic house. I'm weeping that it was torn down. Thank you for this.
What an extraordinary place in history! Magnificently Exquisite build! Just recently found you! Love you and your channel. After seeing so many videos of this manner, I’m now convinced that Canada has the most gorgeous ornate homes by far than the USA. Considering I’m in Abraham Lincolns old town and beautiful homes here are over 250 yrs old. Thank you for all of your hard work! It would be enjoyable more with you by yourself, I’m sorry but your friend in background was so loud and distracting that it took away from what you were there for. Maybe next time you both take separate tour times. Anyways, keep on keeping on Noah! Wonderful job 👏🥰
What a shame that this beautiful home was torn down. It does need a little color, but the layout and detail, and the curb appeal are all incredible. Torn down to build a 90,000 sq. ft. mansion. That's just an ostentatious display of wealth.
Wow this brings back some distant memories. I was 16 and at the end of the summer I started working in this house installing hardwood floors with my father. I remember exploring all of these rooms, I remember carrying bundles of oak planks downstairs to the basement bar room where we started. I went back to school and I think the following Spring my dad was still working here. He was so proud of the amazing work he did there. It’s sad that it’s gone now but I guess it’s immortalized in this video. This reminds me of my time with him- thanks for the memories.
In Europe a property like this would be listed and illegal to raze, unless something was wrong like asbestos etc. deeming it not fit for living. There are so many stunning details and craftmanship galore in almost every room, you've want to keep it forever. I bet the new, 3 times bigger house(!), will not have these details of exellent workmanship and architecture ! North American architecture dont excel in classics like this one and now it's gone. What a crying shame !
It's a true chateau... No clue why anyone would demolish it, he did an amazing job. You would have to go to France, and drop $40MM on repairs and another 40 on renovations to get anything like it.
I am familiar with this area. thank you for this beautiful amazing tour. The bubble gum pink room was quite something eh!! LOL that's alot of friggin pink paint !! what a stunning STUNNING building back in the day. Great tour! thank you, and your commentary is pretty funny. I love it. Stay safe!
The bomb shelter makes sense. When the house was built in 1985 there was still a Cold War going on with the former Soviet Union. The nuclear threat was believed to be real and some people were still putting bomb shelters into their home.
dude there's a nursery (you suggested it was a music studio), staff quarters, & rooms for older children and guests. I'm surprised at the fireplaces and suspicious lack of central heating/ac. Toronto runs from -40C to +40C. BTW love that pool
Why would anyone destroy a place like this when there is NOTHING wrong with it!!?? Also, hoping all the amazing fixtures and cabinets will be repurposed.
I hope that the murals, stained glass, woodtrims, marble counters, and other fixtures were salvaged before this house was demolished. It was so tidy on the inside. Heartbreaking to say the least. 😢😿💔💔
Being a former high end R.E.agent in Toronto, I am familiar with this fabulous property. I am also shocked to hear that it will be demolished for sentimental reasons, however, with all the new wealthy immigrants arriving into Canada, mainly Toronto, they all want NEW HOUSES, with all the bells and whistles of most up to date technical and architectural designs. Although, if the present owner is planning to spend tens of millions, this chateau style home has fabulous bones, and a full renovation could turn out to be even better due to having already solid foundation.
26:30 Brent (Abandoned Urbex Canada) looked that thing up and I think he said it was an ice bath deal? But it could have been an early jacuzzi tub too. Wild though. This place reminds me a bit of CasaLoma in Toronto. So gorgeous. I don't know why it had to be demolished either.
I am sure if the estate didnt sell off the mantels and windows and doors..... the guys who demolished it had a field day getting all this gorgeous stuff for free!

@@cindyrussell1581 Apparently in Canada they salvage everything they can before demolition. So atleast some stuff was saved.
I cant believe that anyone would rip down that gorgeous house- it is timeless! What a shame and for something way bigger. Who would want a 90k square foot house?! I'm so intrigued as to who the new owner is that could buy it during a time when people were forced out of work. Crazy! Thanks for sharing this with us all!
It’s INSANE to me that “someone” would just bulldoze it! At least keep the marble, the fixtures, windows etc.

What ashame, this was demolished 😢
Such a clean and tidy home. Love all of this great mansion❤
I've seen video of this house before but you covered so much more, thank you.🌹
Agreed. They could have donated what could be used again!
Such greed and waste. Truly sad.
Hopefully the guys from Salvage Kings saved some of it!
Really great video...😊wow whst a place.
But no one ever needs that much money...madness 🤔
As explained in other posts, it is Canada’s way to salvage everything they can before demolishing, no matter the size or quality of the house.
LoL 😆
@@annahgibbus8 So Agree 💯‼️🤓
Just a total representation of excess! Then to detroy the beauty of the wood, the art, fireplaces, the doors, is just a crime. This makes me sick that this happens!
Totally agree!! Well done

Very true
Just passing through. Saw that on a memorial bench the other day. Liked it. How I feel lately.
Agree
So true! How big is this person's ego to need to build something bigger and more spectacular than this.
The recording studio stole my heart, can't wait to own one. Thanks for letting us in to this massive house, and to think that they'll be constructing an even bigger one!
I don't know why anyone would want anything bigger than this house, not to mention that it is beautiful. I certainly hope that some of the paintings and glorious woodwork and trim were salvaged.
Same here, happy new year’s to you 🎉
50 people could live in that house and never see each other but once a year and if you got dressed to go shopping you'd be tired before you found the front door.
The back stairs off the kitchen that were carpeted, went to the servants quarters of the mansion. I love all of your videos that you share. It's like walking down memory lane! THANK YOU!!
I have taken the tour of this house by other explores and You by far are the best in regards to Your detailing and Your excellent camera work!
Great job, thank You.😊
Hi how're you doing?
Ever visit the Biltmore in Ashville NC? it was built in 1896 and is 175,000 sq ft. Makes this place look like a doll house lol. Not really but kind of.
This is the most insane piece of property I've seen, why on earth would they destroy this place. Someone needs their heads examined. I've never had a home😢😢😢.
Thank you so much for letting us see all the gorgeous homes ❤❤❤
Absolutely in a class of it's own. It should be a crime to tear it down. The ceilings, hand painting on the walls, crown molding, french doors, the foyer, for heavens sake. I love it just the way it is(was)! Breaks my heart to see such a well made, beautiful mansion brought down. Thank you for sharing it with us!👍👏❤🇺🇸
I would have kept it and just cleaned it up a bit. How could anyone let this stone and marble chateau get ripped down? Mind boggling. 😢
@@queensryke1 I agree 100%!!! It is a beautiful home that needs some tender loving care, not a bull dozer! Heartbreaking...we live in a disposable society unfortunately. 😩🤯❤🇺🇸
Its in North York and 68 is the numerical address. Street he mentioned in the video. There are pictures if you google that show it furnished. Mind blowing someone would demo it just to build bigger.

WOW!!! I am throughly impressed!!
I could use so many items in this home for my home. I adore that White Staircase and Balcony, very Sweet!
Those white French Doors with the Inset is so absolutely Beautiful, very nice!
With all those rooms in this home, I would have had a Christmas room, a Thanksgiving room, a Valentine room, an Easter room and just follow the Seasons of the year!
Extremely NICE HOME, TOO NICE TO BE TORN DOWN!! ❤❤❤❤❤
The round stained glass window is incredibly beautiful along with the entryway door.
I loved this one!!! I watched It Takes Two so many times as a child so this explore was special for me!!
Wow. That fall out/safe room was an amazing find!!! Shame it was demolished. Probably easier to build new than renovate. Those gardens would have been spectacular in their day.
some people clearly have too much money.
Probably one of my favorite explores! You should definitely turn on the live chat when you rewatch this! Noah had a lot of extra info to share. 😊👍
I still can’t fathom it’s going to be demolished! Why, why?! History should be kept in tact! I adore it! What a great loss. Tina in GA 🇺🇸
This place looks incredibly clean for being abandoned. I have to wonder who is doing that!
I dont know why they had to tear such a beauty down, but I want to believe they pulled stuff out for salvage. The beautiful wood work, artwork, floral engravings and the marble coloring on those fireplaces...my gosh, someone truly loved this place once.
I hope someone salvaged a lot, beautiful craftmanship
What a fabulous explore!! I certainly hope that many of the materials were salvaged before they tore it down. Just stunning. In video it was amazing, I can just imagine in person. How lucky you are! This could have easily been a 2 hour explore. Great job Noah! Now I gotta check when Brandon puts his video up to see the nooks you might have missed ;) Thanks.
Hello,happy new year’s to you 🎉
The stained glass round window in that one bathroom was exquisite . I loved it
I think that room you said was a cedar closet... I think it was a sauna
@@coeurdalenegal I was thinking the same thing ..
😮 WOW!!!!!!
I will never be able to have an opulent lifestyle like this, but, it sure was jaw dropping to see Noah! Thank you 😊
It's hard to believe anyone would allow this home to be demolished !!"I would hope someone would step forward and stop any demolition!
Incredible Beauty!
I feel like a lot of the doors and windows and bathroom fixtures could have been salvaged -it’s really a shame to think that it probably all got destroyed without any consideration of recycling it.
lol, i thought the same
Guess if you have enough money, you don’t care. Hope the new mansion is more eco friendly. What a waste.
There may have been a deal made for salvaging everything valuable that can be safely removed. Can be a good deal for some savvy developer.
Caroline and I in our own mansion 😁
This is so sad to destroy this master piece. It breaks my heart to know this beautiful home is being destroyed. It could be used in so many ways.
Yes there was a lot of things to salvage. Clearly alot of money and thought went into this home.
Wow! What a beautiful house great adventure thanks for the video
I agree 100%
Sad world.
Not just live like this but can be so wasteful and just destroy it like it is nothing
Some people just have too much money.. There is so much wasted space in this place...No one needs that many rooms (most of which were probably never used) Crazy.@@collettepuryear3408
I agree. It is a shame. Such a waste of too many hungry and homeless people. So sad
Or maybe that’s someone that’s given you permission to tour the mansion so he has to be there?
There just has to be one heckuva good reason for demolishing this totally beautiful mansion because nobody would waste this lovely place. There's more ornate woodwork and hardware in one room alone than most people have in their whole houses. I sure hope that some of these treasures can be saved and reused for future projects.
They mentioned destroying the home so the new owners could build one 3 times/90,000sqft plus bigger!
@@Jillking45 Who on Earth needs a hotel for a house??!!! And how many homeless could be fed and/or housed with the money???
He's two foot in the house and i'm already mad they tore it down! they should have let a salvage crew come save those fireplace mantles and some of these cool details!
They probably did let salvage come in
You know a salvage company came in. Too much money to be made from all the beautiful things in this mansion.
I CAN NOT STAND seeing such a magnificent piece of architecture destroyed for absolutely no reason. We can be so creative, yet so damn destructive. A true shame. Thank you for sharing this with us man.
Please tell me they are going to take this place down piece by piece. Saving as much as possible. It is absolutely beautiful. It breaks my heart to think that it coming down. This should have known the love of a happy family busy with parties and lots of children. So sad. It deserved much much more.
In addition to my other comment I would like to add that the gardens and landscaping is incredible and timeless in my opinion!❤🤩
So much time and thought in every detail! It should be preserved.
Shame this beautiful house got demolished. It was a real beauty. Saw 2 pictures a couple of months ago of it being demolished. Sucks. I bet what gets built in its place is butt ugly. Stay safe Noah.
What a gorgeous building , amazing architecture! why does it have to be torn down ??
What an incredible tour! And I was thrilled to read the Toronto realtor comment. The small rooms upstairs of the kitchen/back stairs with the carpeting vs the hardwood and the small bathrooms are the staff/housekeeper quarters. Absolutely epic house. I'm weeping that it was torn down. Thank you for this.
That cool bar downstairs makes ya think your at the Longbranch in Dodge City, KS. - "Ole Marshal Dillon and Miss Kitty." 🤠😉✌️😅
What an amazing mansion!!! I just don’t understand why they would tare it down. Such beauty lost😢
For those who don't know,it was torn down but ALL that could be salvaged, was! Furnace, all fixtures and i learned Canada requires this!!😮
Noah I love going on these explores w you
Love the channel great job 😊
Wow this brings back some distant memories. I was 16 and at the end of the summer I started working in this house installing hardwood floors with my father. I remember exploring all of these rooms, I remember carrying bundles of oak planks downstairs to the basement bar room where we started. I went back to school and I think the following Spring my dad was still working here. He was so proud of the amazing work he did there. It’s sad that it’s gone now but I guess it’s immortalized in this video. This reminds me of my time with him- thanks for the memories.
I would be spooked living in a house that big. Probably would not have gone in most the rooms
Exactly! Big houses are spooky to me and creepy
That woodworking is out of this world beautiful
It's amazing how people have all this money and leave a beautiful mansion like that just can't believe it
I am familiar with this area. thank you for this beautiful amazing tour. The bubble gum pink room was quite something eh!! LOL that's alot of friggin pink paint !! what a stunning STUNNING building back in the day. Great tour! thank you, and your commentary is pretty funny. I love it. Stay safe!
I just don't understand how the rich can destroy a building so gorgeous!! I didn't see any mold or major damage, What are these ppl doing? 😢
The bomb shelter makes sense. When the house was built in 1985 there was still a Cold War going on with the former Soviet Union. The nuclear threat was believed to be real and some people were still putting bomb shelters into their home.
This place is truly magical, thank you for sharing
Hello,new year’s to you 🎉
dude there's a nursery (you suggested it was a music studio), staff quarters, & rooms for older children and guests.
If they don’t like the outside they could have changed it and then built on to it since they want bigger…. Which nobody can afford!!!
I hope that the murals, stained glass, woodtrims, marble counters, and other fixtures were salvaged before this house was demolished. It was so tidy on the inside. Heartbreaking to say the least. 😢😿💔💔
Why the heck would you tear this beautiful place down. What a shame! Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Because they can. Don't care about all the wasted resources.
The very top rooms are servant quarters, it's the additional space. Servants access stairs are slender
I looked it up, it seems to be a very early jacuzzi, as you said!

I am sure if the estate didnt sell off the mantels and windows and doors..... the guys who demolished it had a field day getting all this gorgeous stuff for free!
I remember visiting that home when it was still owned by Robert Campeau. Opulence describes it best 👌
