The guy showing everything is super passionate and having fun with it. While the other people just sit around looking dead inside.

You're absolutely correct. The base with the offset air vents would be the only part requiring fabrication. Simple design!

My favorite things from high school (education-wise 😉) were the open discussions/debates in many of the science classes where the teacher showed some demonstration and asked everyone to analyze what/how/why it happened. I think that's why I get so much enjoyment from watching demonstrations like this here Firenado.

I think this is the coolest thing I ever seen.
If you have an open fire you can use this principle to light the fire quicker, or increase the flame. Use something that covers the top 2/3 of the open space, this creates a smaller space for the air to be sucked in at the bottom by the fire. The faster air movement by the fire and burning material increases the air available to the material so it can burn faster and stronger.
This is super cool. If only the people he's showing this to thought so as well.

This just shows you how air is fluid and how it's just a lighter version of water behavior is one in the same.
They make a small version of this device for candles. It has three angled air-intakes at the wood base. But the candle doesn’t generate enough heat to create the vortex. So it would be fun to make a candle vortex, with three small electric fans at the bottom to provide the rotational velocity. I think that the candle would burn brighter.

So at night, set up connected drones with lightweight platform, connected to a propane tank on the ground with lightweight tubing to supply the propane, have a very large plastic tube thing to channel the fire up, fly it above tree level, and ignite the flames. People should freak out.

I learned this skipping school hanging out in an old pig shed. We found some ditch tubing (idk what it's called but the stuff that they put under driveways to let water flow through) and we poked that through the roof for a chimney. Man that fire was flowing like a jet flame!

CA started getting fire tornadoes. We had to have guys from Australia come help us out because they’re the only ones that deal with it in a common biases. We’ve pretty much started a firefighter swap, where Ca firefighters will go to Aus during their fire season, and Aus firefighters will come to CA to help us with ours.

It can go as high as a actual tornado. ... my town cross plains Texas was hit with a fire storm and we saw these tornados of flames literally dropping down or coming up on houses almost like it picked what house to burn it would skip one and leave it normal then thrash the next . It was aweful. Hundreds of animals and luckily only 2 people passed, thousands of acres burned and 117 homes total losses. There is only probly a total of 2000 people or there was at that time. We all helped eachother and continued to do so after. Never thought my little home town could be like that but even neighboring towns came in to help. 3 friends from outside areas helped us get our horses and my father out and my best friend helped save several homes and tried to save one of the elder women who passed but the house was in flames so bad by the time he got to them he could only save the man (her son) from going on in after her because there was no way she was alive by that time. The other refused to leave her home she was scared of leaving her house and hurt people who were trying to save her so they had to leave her it was terrible. Both lady's were much older and the guys mom passed in what looked like her sleep with her dog laying next to her at her feet. It was a very intense messed up experience. ... it changes everything
