Thanks for yet another cool video. Today in Adelaide, South Australia, the 'Bay to Birdwood' was held, which is a parade of vehicles built prior to 1993. The parade starts at West Beach and ends at the Birdwood National Motor Museum. A 67 km journey. This year there were just over 1550 vehicles involved. You would have been in your element.
I worked at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney when they filmed the "Thunderdome" Scene where the Trams used to go. In one scene you can vaguely see the huge Brick Smoke Stacks that we're inside the Building.

The car learned to drive on was a 1969 VW bug. I rebuilt a 1970 VW Bus Westfalia and my dad sold it on me when I was doing my apprenticeship. I would kill to have an old VW again. Sadly my area does not have any within normal human price ranges. A dead VW missing the engine, wheels, and rusted out pan goes for above 6k, simply insane.
Have you seen the 1974 film:- Stone? It's mainly bikie focused, but had a few actors in it that later starred in Mad Max. It also shows a lot of Aussie cars that were contemporary at the time. A badass film with a cult following. 🏍️🏍️🏍️

I want to put my 2c on covid lol As someone with Chronic fatigue/Long Covid, weather vax or anit vax etc, I wish we had much more coutios approach on covid when it is clearly out there, particularly in major cities, (not sure there in that particular of USA)... Hospitals are overwhelmed and stocks are low because of high sick leave... I understand the concern and worry about vaccines, but wish masks were very strongly raccomended (but not mandated), as even 40% or 30% would reduce transmission of covid dramatically... reducing those the roughly 10% of people getting long covid... (ie people that wont be able to work again in their lives!) I worry that this current approach will only make things worse in future... I'll just conclude by commending you on playing your part in reducing vaccine transmission.... Please keep doing these videos :)

I believe the timelines split around 1981 or a little before. Before then, we were on the same timeline.

There has been an imported XB at Wasteland, but not this year. This year someone had a pretty convincing AMC Javelin interceptor though.
There is a man from Oregon that has a replica Interceptor (RHD) who brought it to WW, but sadly due to medical reasons he can’t attend anymore.
