I'd never do that kind of bikepacking, but I loved watching you guys push the limits of the human body and the limits of the mountain bike. This is a truly amazing feat.

Holy smokes that was unreal! It's hard enough getting around in terrain like that, let alone doing it with a camera backpack. Amazing work guys! That was so badass.

A breath of fresh air amidst the weird parking lot tricks and bike park lines that flood most of social media. Nothing about that looked easy, but the content was great!

Those treks provide the gravity that pulls mountain bikers off roads and deeply into the wilderness as our hearts desires. Awesome video and thank you for reminding me why I ride.

Upping the ante here chaps. I always feel for the 'togs on trips like this. You have the same kit as everyone else, plus spare batteries, bodies, lenses... The works. Plus you have to try and ride ahead to get the shot. Hard work when the air is thinning.

Thanks for saying that. I tried that job as a "career" for a bit, mostly as a mountaineer. It's work hardly anyone notices, but those around you do seem to appreciate. Your lifespan for such a career is maybe a decade, a few last longer, though not usually.. You don't make squat for money usually, often scrambling for work, knowing you should get a real job, and someday will have to. The places you really want to go, showcase, don't really happen, maybe one or two if you're lucky. It becomes dreams vanished. A few years down the road the amazing footage you got with the 40lbs of camera gear you humped, now is wiped away by technology, achieved by drones, and someone carrying a quarter what you were, and looks way better out of the box. Not recommended.

This is such killer work all round! Bike packing isn't my thing as I'm sure is the case for many others watching, but hell that was a great story supported but some absolutely amazing film work! The whole crew nailed it.

We didn't test the specific canister sizes with our JetBoils. Assuming that they would work just fine with the larger Primus Canisters, they didnt though. Especially frustrating as we didnt bring our emergency MSR pocket rocket, which we tested in between leg 1 and 2 and it worked fine with the larger canisters. We learned an important lesson, test everything.

Backcountry fire ban. With special permission granted from the Fire Service to even be in the area, we couldn't risk burning the forest down...

unridden lines, what? that traverse was done reverse way in 2 days before these extreme mountain men from revelstoke kinda did it. all of those zones have been ridden by goldenites since the 80s. dont kid yourself you werent the first.
On another note, if your gonna make a video drawing attention to a contentious activity like alpine mountain biking maybe do it in your backyard. This way when environmental groups stir up a fuss its your local epics that will get shut down, not mine. When tourists come looking for adventure its your parking lots that will get filled up, not mine. Also youll be there to awser your buds questions directly at the coffee shop local, you know like, was a new bike worth ruining it for everyone. What is it nowadays that people arent content with enjoying an activity, they gotta make a name for themselves by making you tube videos and posting pictures and articles in bike magazines. the more attention gets focused on this activity the more chances its gonna get shut down. dont fuckin ruin it for everyone for a bit of fame and glory (new bike really; thats it!)
