    Man, you hit the nail on the head, Tommy. Thank you for the great words on the power of education and the power of music/studying art in general. Condolences on the loss of your father. He sounds like he was a great man. Thank you again for your contributions to the music world!

    Tommy is a huge influence on my teaching style. His books and DVDs should be owned by EVERY serious drummer.

    I have sufferered w a pinched nerve which causes PAIN in my hands... has affected my perseverance on the drums.. Hard to keep the discipline of practicing every day... and hard to teach myself ... without having money or time to devote to learning... So, I can related to what Tommy is saying about ...... Moods... and emotions that go into drumming...
