I very much enjoy this channel's videos. Just enough narration, well edited, and non intrusive background music. Mars is as tragic to me as it is beautiful. Everything seems to be a broken/smashed reflection of what once was a work of art. We don't know what was ever there to be lost (in reality) but the feeling of sad tragedy (death) and loss never fails to enter my mind when seeing these scenes.

My sentiment exactly. I have watched all of Ariken's videos of Mars, and am always impressed in new ways every time.

They are not spending billions just to look at rocks and soil. They are there for another reason. How long are they going to keep up this charade? They are looking for tech from a destroyed civilisation.

Clouds on Mars are amazing! I had to go to the JPL website to learn more because I suspected that these were Carbon Dioxide clouds. These particular clouds were considered early for the cloudy season and much higher in altitude and they are indeed C02 clouds. Clouds that form later in the season are at lower altitudes (Below 37 miles up) and are made of water ice crystals.

I really enjoy this, to think I can view Mars from home, and to think that this place is there, like that, right now, ; perhaps a light breeze going in an evening light, all that distance away. It seems locked in time and very still, without the vibrancy of an eco system ; its also a testament to how we must protect and appreciate the beautifully miraculous climate we have.

The wind on Mars always bemuses me. With such a thin atmosphere, wind speeds that would knock us down on Earth would not disturb us at all on Mars. It is a very counterintuitive place even with such great images of the surface.

I must say I have great affection for Mars. I can imagine it's quiet serenity. No supposedly intelligent beings killing each other over religion or land disputes. No ever-confusing , demented social/sexual politics. No turning on a radio hearing seemingly endless Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran!!
. . . A nice bit of peace and quiet contemplation from all the unwanted interference.

This is great! It's beyong amazing that we're able to see things like this! I'm sure right now there are people saying this is fake and it's actually pics of the Earth lol

Great video - could you do a similar, slower pan of the mesas - there is much interesting detail in and upon the slopes (also visible by pulling/magnifying and zoning in during this video, albeit fleetingly given the speed. Thanks.
