I've watched appx. 20-25 upsc toppers of 2K17. I noticed one thing common in all , all successful canditates are genuine honest & amazing persona. A salute to the upsc system & interviewing officers you truly picks gems of India. Proud Indian.

Practicing enough no questions for Prelims (test series), Practice answer writing 5. Clarity on concepts 6. Knowing mains syllabus by heart, estb interlinkages b/w 4 GS papers. 7. Don't accumulate a lot of content for mains. You just need 250-300 words on any topic 8. Reading from limited sources for mains. It helps in better recalling and putting down on paper those 250-300 words
These are the people who inspire me to carry on...not those "toppers" who cleared in 1st attempt, some of whom even claim of clearing with less than an year of preparation
Strategy ,Revision, notes , mocks, revise mocks , concept clarity, decided for attempts beforehand, exam focussed approach, pyq, syllabus, solving writing, don't fear evaluation, make short notes of 150, 250 words, less is easy to replicate Material restrict ,practice writing , identify strong points , high probability areas of syllabus , inspiration not imitation, be original , reflect on the purpose Consistent , discipline plan effectively , ruthless implementation

Same situation here - I was preparing from my college days and I didn't plan my schedule correctly it took 2years to complete my subjects and in 3rd attempt upto final iam getting decent 130 marks in previous year papers but in last days I solved c.s.a.t I didn't even get 50 marks I cried a lot and frustrated 😞😞😞😞 iam 24 feeling lot of pressure I tought to quit by my brain is not allowing me to do that it just says javed push yourself harder
