- Hi friends! This is my first ever video Vlog YAY! Thanks for stopping by to watch! We are in Cancun Mexico, staying at the NYX Hotel All Inclusive. We took a tour to Chichen Itza and explored inland Mexico for a day! Thank you for posting this informative review. I'm planning a trip to Cancun in January. Been there 3 times and I usually stay at the Wyndham Alltra. I wanted to try something new this time around. Definitely gonna consider the NYX.

Did you feel safe there? I’m going with my mother for her 75th birthday, so she just wants to enjoy the sites and walking around Cancun and finding museums and some ruins.

We have been 3 times to cancun but that was our first time to NYX, glad we found this little gem lol

My husband and I will be staying there a few weeks. I’m so excited! Were the restaurants at the hotel included?! Like did you have to pay for the food at the hotel restaurants?
if you have all inclusive, the restaurant deck, breakfast buffet, and sushi bar at Umami is included. Umami and Chianti is included if your stay is longer than 3 days but you have to make a reservation since they open at night for dinner. We stayed for 8 days and went went to umami once and chianti 2 times but the restaurant deck changes the menu every night so you don't get bored. If you have all inclusive you get beachside service. They have a grill on the beach that pumps out lunch dishes! you will have fun lol my best friend is ready to go back. There is a taco spot in front of the hotel that's good, but its not included. and La Isla 8 min walk with alot of restaurants.
@@itscesselie this helps a lot!! I remember you said the cabana is $20 is that per person? Do you recommend reserving a cabana a day before or is it okay to get a cabana that same day?
@@jeannelle_ We never had a problem getting a cabana the day of during the weekday. You probably should reserve if you want one on the weekend. When we went its was 500 pesos for the whole cabana all day. If you have all inclusive you get your own cabana host.
What dates was your stay?
Thank you for this review I am considering this resort for my stay, I travel to Cancun next week. I wanted to ask did you have to convert currency or mainly used credit cards for any outside shopping?
So at NYX hotel they have two ATM's in the lobby! One gives USD and the other Pesos. The airport has a currency exchange. We use pesos when we are Mexico but you can use both
We used credit cards at the mall, but we used pesos in the markets because its easier to haggle!
how was the water at the beach? Its hard to see but it looks clear and blue, can you confirm this. I dont want to get stuck with a brown water beach. Thanks!
It depends on the weather and time. BUT overall we were able to get in the ocean almost everyday. Some days were very clear and blue, some days there was a lot seaweed. But the water was clear! I was at the Hilton Cancun last month, it is not in hotel zone, and the water was brown and we never got in.
My girlfriend and I are going to hotel nyx at the end of the month and she loves vlogs & reviews so I made sure to send this to her lol. Great review 🤘🏿

@@222JohnRambo Oh Ok! Every morning a tractor comes thru and rakes up the seaweed. BUT since ocean is a natural, some days there was a lot seaweed in the ocean, and some days not. It depends on the time of year you go. You will see a lot of seaweed towards sunset but it will be gone the next morning. I saw the tractors around 6-7am
For your anniversary did you contact the hotel directly or through who you booked the hotel? Me and my wife's anniversary is coming up in three weeks and we're just trying to find out how to do it. Dinner reservation couples massage etc. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. NICE VIDEO !!!!!! : )
HEY! So I actually wrote "wedding anniversary " in the special request box.
They responded and sent me a link to the special request coordinator. It was easy. Im not sure what you are booking on, but I suggest you email them with your name and dates of your stay and your special request and they will guide you in the right direction.
You make your dinner reservations at the reservation desk down in the lobby!
TRY to make your reservations the day before 1pm.
Your massage reservations are reserved at the massage deck on the beach!
But if you are chilling on the beach they walk around with a clipboard and ask guest if they want to get on the schedule. IT DOES GET FULLY BOOKED SOMETIMES.
I RECOMMEND to get your massages earlier if you can, because we noticed they kinda get tired towards the end of the day.
If you find a masseuse you like stick with them.
Me and my husband booked our massages around 9am. We kept the same masseuse for all 4 of our massages. It was nice to go early because it was just us, the ocean wave and everyone else is still sleep lol.
they started off at 30min for $40USD
If you tip them good the first time....they treat you extra good the rest of your stay.

is this all inclusive hotel?
They have all inclusive packages and non all inclusive packages. You get to pick. The wrist bands are different colors for inclusive guest.
