"How much do you make per hour" is a typical question in Canada, especially among low income people. A lot of my friends also asked me how much TIPs I earned as a Busboy and I was fine telling them my average per day. I didn't find those salary-based questions rude or intrusive at all.

For professionals it depends as some people in the same industry often ask how much Microsoft pays vs what Amazon or FaceBook pays its employees. They do this because Tech people like to jump companies for better pay, stock options and bonuses. For most cases high earning Canadians like to keep their earnings secret.

They even go over EI, CPP, union or other items that's deducted from their bi-weekly paycheques. Not only that they convert the figures into pesos 😃. It's videos like this that makes some viewers think it's okay to ask how much so and so earns.

@@Betty-ww5cb I've never looked up my credit score and quite frankly I've never really needed to know. That's because I pay mostly in cash. I'm sure there are many people earning less than $20K a year with perfect credit scores but that doesn't mean anything to me as the amount they can borrow will be very minimal.

I never got caught up in it as the more important things are to save and invest and not keep up and be preoccupied with a financial score. I don't know my credit score and I frankly don't need to know.

I noticed many Canadians don't flinch when asked what their credit score is. In fact many I've met are proud to reveal their high Credit Scores.
