Film discription: The Dark Knight of Gotham City confronts a dastardly duo: Two-Face and the Riddler. This movie is like one of those slices of chocolate cake with 5 layers, tons of frosting, chips throughout, drizzled with Hershey syrup and covered in chocolate shavings. You know it’s terrible nutrition-wise and the ingredients are cheap, but you have to admire the audacity of it.

This was always my favorite scene from Two-Face in this movie.

I just love how he delivered it.
That was the most Two-Face moment of the entire movie imo. Between the dialogue, his delivery, and Tommy Lee Jones' facial expressions, that's how the character should've been played the whole time.
I think its because Tommy Lee Jones hated Jim Carrey, so a lot of that animosity is genuine.

If you watch it there are tens of moments where he's one person and then he's a cartoon person, he is two minds of one, so all the times he was serious and not goofing off was probably how he was supposed to be playing two face and that's the version he was going for, but, the studio and the director fucked up when they fell in love with Jim Carrey. He does great honestly, but, that's not the Riddler, and in turn that's not Two Face. This could've been the best batman movie of all time, too bad.
@@nny156 Actually heard both actors couldn't stand each other, hence the whole "trying to outdo each other in every scene" schtick. Usually that's a recipe for disaster, but Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey pulled it off nicely.
Riddler is the wierdest villain ever, it like, I have no powers no fighting skills and no money, but I'll still be the biggest damn nuicence you've ever seen

There's a love/hate relationship to be had in many affairs in life. Though I thought it was TLJ having the problem with Jim Carrey and not the other way around.

All of the information about Tommy hating Jim is from Jim himself and pure conjecture. Jim is fucking insane in real life now and has an incredible ego. I doubt any drama actually took place and if it did, Tommy is an amazing actor because I detect no resentment from a single second in this movie.

The only good thing about it is it's not 'Batman And Robin'.
It has a burton-ish feel while maintaining a campiness that harks back to the 60s show. In this respect, Schumacher did it quite well. B&R didn’t have a dark tone and was all camp.
Starting at 4:37 - I love the way Tommy Lee Jones delivers that line.

Jim's face shift at 4:45 is what kills me. It's just so sudden. He starts out thinking it's an amusing path to Two-Face saying "yes", but the "crush your bones into powder!" line makes him immediately question his decision. Then, on the coin flip, you can feel his asshole pucker. It's so great.

I think that Carrey’s line-delivery, and especially that cocky little laugh at 2:41 is the most genuine Riddler-y delivery in the whole film

And how he nails that comic pose at 1:00 . As hokey as the film is, Jim Carrey really did emulate the Riddler really damn well and you can even see how his narcissistic demeanor and cocky condescending laugh really carried through to other iterations of the Riddler, especially the Arkham Game series.

This was one of favorite Jim carry roles along with him as the Mask, Jim Carrey, and Dr.Robotnik.

The best part about this is that Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones weren't really playing The Riddler and Two-Face, they were both just playing slightly different personalities that would better fit The Joker and trying to out-ham each other's performance.

Tim Woods Try some of his more serious roles. Eternal Sunshine (though it has some weird expressions in the memory sequences) has some really good acting from his part. He only did these faces because that’s what people hired him for.

Personally I think Carrey was there for a while. Walking around. Going through their shit. Otherwise how did his ‘box’s’ get in the lair since he wasn’t holding them when he introduced himself to them. So when they got home he just hid until he found the best time to make a dramatic entrance.
