    Damn, this is weird. I've watched a few different vids on pixel art and aseprite and talked to a few people in different forums and none really convinced me to invest on Aseprite just yet. But watching this video...
    I now realize why I should definitely buy it. The same reason why, when buying my electric guitar, I bought an Ibanez instead of another beginner's Stratocaster or Les Paul. One inspired me to play, the other ones didn't as much.
    Looking at the UI of Aseprite, I can see why it can do the same to others. That beautiful UI begs you to go ahead and do some 8 bit fuckery on it. Everything is set up right to get you in the mood. That's exactly what keeps Aseprite ahead of Marmoset Hexels, Pro Motion and Pixelorama.
    I'm sold. Thank you for this. Otherwise idk how long it would've taken me to realize

    • @Fairlii
      @Fairlii  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wow, thank you for this beautifully written comment. Aseprite clicked something in my head that immediately pushed me to buy it and work on pixel art consistently which I couldn’t ever see myself doing before. Thank you for watching I’m glad my video inspired you!

    Was hoping to hear why/how Aseprite in particular is so distinctly good compared to other programs, not just a feeling that it is so good followed up with some tips. Perhaps a feature that is unique to Aseprite, as surely it isn't just the name that appeals. I'd choose Pixelorama if based on name alone. I switched from Pixelorama from Aseprite because the Rotate tool was simpler and more straightforward with Aseprite, and now I'm having to weigh what is distinct about Pixelorama, such as instantly being able to keybind left and right click to different tools, with what is distinct about Aseprite.
