I've always been impressed with Janus motorcycles. They're unique and I like the concept of the vintage styling. The 250 is more of a beginner bike and a short commute type of transportation. I'd like to see you do a review of the 450 , it looks like an awesome bike. I've only seen the promotional adds from Janus on the 450 , a full review from you would be really great.
I've watched some TH-cam videos about this motorcycle company. Very interesting! I drive through Indiana on my way to NW Pennsylvania to visit relatives and one of these times I plan on stopping in Goshen to see where these are built.
I think they are stunning motorcycles, totally unique! Sadly they aren't available on this side of the pond yet but rumour is they'll be coming in the next year or two.
The engines have been Shineray (sold as SWM), recently, or Lifan historically. Honda moved production of the Brazilian designed and invulnerable CG150 [sic] to Vietnam about 1983 and within a year it was being produced (without the capitalist pig notion of licensing, of course) throughout the then-Communist world. Let's just say before 1989 or so, local engineers reworked that engine for even greater durability in environments where parts were scarce and maintenance largely disallowed. Something about a bunch of guys going "up against the wall" if the factory produces too many crappy engines inspires durability. The public face of Janus is confoundingly available. Mr. Worsham would be available to answer your questions, and may even be the person who answers the phone. If this machine makes your dingle tingle, I recommend a sojourn to Greater South Bend, Indiana (the RV capital of the world) to visit Janus (call ahead for an appointment) and the RV/MH Hall of Fame in nearby Elkhart.
I got a pamphlet on bike gear from bike shop & had photo of a Janus in green.Someone in bike shop had got a vivid & coloured in the A so it said ANUS 🤣.I didn't notice it till I got home & my flatmate started laughing & showed me😁😆😂🤣. Nice old school 1920's style lookalike bike.I think 🤔 they do a bigger cc bike now 450-550cc range.
Got over 9k on my Chinese before I swaped top end for power and all the insides looked flawless except for casting mismatches and stuff lol Other than that It was flawless
Cheap Chinese motor (probably lifan)... rear shock absorbers in the front...parts stolen from various motorcycles and put up together to look like an antique 1920s motorcycle. utter rubbish.

The bike is gorgeous Fuzzy with that retro look.
They are expensive new!
They're between $7,000 and $8,000 on their website. Would like to go to their shop and check it out

Goshen Indiana is where my dad grew up and he knows a few guys who work at Janus Motorcycles! Great to see one finally featured on your channel!
Would love to I ride a few more of these
Beautiful motorcycles.
I've debated about buying one but I would need the 450 and they are a very pricey proposition.
Would love to see that. 4. 50. Be a very interesting motorcycle
Looks good in green.
Paint was excellent

Was a fun motorcycle to ride 🙂
I live a little more than an hour from Goshen, and have seen several of these in person. They are well-built, but ridiculously expensive.
Rolling art
Sweet ride
Wahoo!
Hey Fuzzy, if I remember right, the engines are made in Italy, but indeed a Honda 250 copy built under license from Honda.
It's a very interesting motorcycle. I'd love to visit the factory in Indiana
they're Chinese
For anyone interested, Richard Worsham, the co-founder, does a live stream every Monday @ 16:00 Pacific. It's always good folks and a good time.
Nice!
I have a 450 Janus. They are.... unique.
I would love to ride a Janice 450. Absolutely amazing motorcycles

Would love to visit their shop. May do that.
Except for the hard tail, pretty similar tech to my 1980 SR 250. No ECU, no senses, ABS, or any other Ride aids. And so light. 😂
I think you're right 🙂

This one was several years old and ran great
Got over 9k on my Chinese before I swaped top end for power and all the insides looked flawless except for casting mismatches and stuff lol

Seemed to run and ride well for a 6 year old motorcycle with miles on the clock. Paint was in great shape too. Wahoo
