If I was a betting girl, Id put my chips on the latter, her seemingly being the primus motor of it all and something within her demeanor says so, but thats just my gut feels of her..
      Also, policing (in US) has changed so much, its just smart to teach your kids the basics (always film the police, know your rights, ask for parents & lawyer, dont answer any questions). Todays police isnt there to help you, they are there to build a case against you or much, much worse. As a long time member of police reform/auditing community, Ive seen too much and every time I think it cant get any worse, it somehow always will. I never realized how many murderous psychopathic children that are out there murdering grandparents & parents.. I went down the wormhole a couple weeks ago & watched a couple documentaries on the subject then I guess the algorithm started pushing more videos on those topics to my feed. I think this is like the 7th video I’ve watched about teenagers killing family members & there seems to be an unlimited amount on the topic.. It’s so tragic. RIP to the poor mother of this story. It’s so horrific & heartbreaking but it’s even more hard for me to wrap my head around this fourteen year old girl who’d be a willing participant to kill her own mother, I mean by god she’s almost still a baby in the sense she’d just of been in elementary school a couple years prior.. it’s totally mind boggling.. Sending Love & Prayers to the family/friends that have lost their loved one in such a senseless & horrific crime!!

      And this story was from back in 2009… it is 10x worse after covid. They kill themselves, each other, schoolmates, teachers, parents, police. I dunno what’s going on, but it’s definitely eye opening. These two kids were under 25, as most of these offenders are, their brains are not even fully developed, so not sure that they can even comprehend the gravity of consequences headed their way because they live in their teenage social media bubble. I usually blame the parents and some actually deserve the title of shit parents, but this woman was trying her very best to keep her little monster safe, but also not recognizing that her monster probably needed mental health support. And the fact that she’s already out on parole is absolutely shocking.

    • @jamesanthony3691
      @jamesanthony3691 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@whyamiheredlb After reading your message & also spending an unhealthy amount of time thinking about this subject, I think you mentioned two things that could possibly be the main driving factors of what seems like an epidemic of violence of our youth. Social Media & Mental Health. You combine the two in today’s world & it’s a Toxic Combination, especially when you add in the Internet & single parenting. I think these kids have undiagnosed or ignored mental health issues & then they live in a fantasy world between social media & whatever craziness they are absorbing from the internet. I’m a father of two teenage boys, one is now nineteen & the other is seventeen but I never allowed them to have any social media with the exception of what they had to use for school, I also put them in a Christian Private School when they got to junior high. I grew up in the 80’s-90’s & I don’t ever remember hearing about kids killing people outside of gang related things but it seems like there’s more killings happening domestically nowadays then gang members killing each other. It’s scary & extremely sad stuff. It’s like we’re breaking down as a society. I don’t know why but these horrible stories have really hit a nerve with me. Thank you for responding & sharing your thoughts..

      There are more children than people realize who have severe mental illnesses or personality disorders. Therapists are hesitant to diagnose significant issues in children, which I can understand to a degree. But there are many disorders that can be much more effectively managed if caught early.
      A big part of the issue is that the parents are so often blamed and/or they believe that they are the ones who understand their children the most.
      I've been getting a lot of criminal children videos (yeah, my algorithm went a bit wild with this recently), and if the youth committed a non-murder crime or murdered anyone other than the parents, the comment sections are filled with, "it's obviously the mother's fault."
      I've taught in residential facilities, and it's so heartbreaking. Most of the parents had healthy other children, but they felt guilty because Suzy had schizophrenia or Billy had high antisocial traits.

I mean, do we have any reason to believe that Steven was anything more than a Goth dork who was guilty of statutory rape? It’s outrageous to me how these young girls plan to kill their parent/s, actually go through with it, rope their sex hungry boyfriends in and get a lighter sentence. She should also be serving life without parole. There’s a serious flaw in the law in these cases.

    • @hermanblume3239
      @hermanblume3239 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +51

      I agree 100%. The district attorney screwed up royally when they offered her that deal. I believe she killed her mother. And now she walks free. It was kind of ridiculous hearing her family members talking about what they hope happened to the guy in prison. I mean he's a piece of shit for having a sexual relationship with a young girl, but he is not the killer. Were the family members delusional-- thinking that Tyler was just manipulated? They are wrong. She will probably kill again. You can see the evil in her.

    I'm shocked that a child knew to ask for a lawyer right away and not to talk to the police. Just saying- that's the smartest thing to do. The police are never on your side when you're being questioned even if you are 100% innocent of anything. Saw a few people saying that was the biggest indicator that Tylar was guilty and I highly disagree. The biggest indicator was her words in her diary and past actions, not her asking for a lawyer.

      @@azroseazlang9995 thats the thing everyone says/thinks (just like with privacy, why do you want privacy if you aint got nothing to hide?), and I guess its easy to think that if you're 100% innocent but accused of something, you migt as well just tell them the honest truth and it will prevail. But really, whether innocent or not, its best to not talk to police. There's plently of vids of lawyers and police officers explaining why, I'm too incompetent to do so but I at least remembered the sentiment to just say "lawyer!" and shut up lol.

    As a former 14 year old girl myself I’m pretty darn sure Tyler was the more mature of the two and would not be at all surprised if we learned later she set the whole thing up.
    He just doesn’t seem that bright and a 19 year old boy can often be at the same maturity level of a clever girl that much younger. I bet she had him wrapped around her finger.
