For sure one of the best game devs for movement Ong if it’s ever released I would play for the movement which is hard to do in a game but I love smooth movement (suggestion make a freeplay mode with no boss so people can try the movement)
my thoughts if you want them this isnt necessarily going to make the game "better" but you should really add gun sway when looking around and have the gun bob while youre moving on the floor. Possibly react to velocity changes (i.e. acceleration) while in air like just have a simple position offset based on the difference in velocity. So for example when you are falling the gun should be moving slightly up because of the downward acceleration and then when you land the gun should jump up a bit then lerp back into position. Also i would chill out with the post processing (like the rgb split effect and blur at the edge of the screen) and only use it to add impaxt (e.g. blur the edges when youre moving really fast). Bit nitpicky but the gun model doesnt have lot of detail if you look at it's left or right side, that could use some work
as someone who has made boss fights but doesn't work with this engine ima leave some random ideas here. do things with them, or don't. i'm literally just a random human typing for like 20 min under a random video the boss already has a ground slam, but it could also try to grab you if you're high enough to encourage you to keep your distance and...actually aim at stuff laser attack is nice given the movement heavy gameplay, but some kind of indicator or screen effect could be neat aside from that, the guy already has quite the nice moveset. pretty good boss for a movement based game honestly
idea for the laser. make it have a little delay before just going straight to you, so like the lasers a little behind you, instead of just straight on you without being able to run from it 11:05

Yeh that’s definitely something I should learn how to do as the gun does look very stiff. And yeh I guess I’ll turn down the post processing a bit 😂
