Very pretty, I like it. Memory/story about a metal frame bed. When I was a kid (many moons ago) I would stay at my grandparents' house out in the "country" for weeks during the summer, I loved it so much. The bedroom I stayed in had an old full size metal frame bed and Grandma called it a prison bed because Grandpa said it looked like the beds they had in institutions back in the "old" days. I was too young to understand what that meant, to me it was just soft a cushy bed that I didn't have to share with a sibling. The headboard was placed up underneath a double window in the front bedroom of the second floor and I had a great view of the front yard with rows of trees planted straight up and down and the old highway that ran past the front of the house and its occasional traffic. The bed would squeak every time I moved. It was a left-over from the Depression and in the 1950s, looking back now with the eyes of an adult, I think it reminded my grandparents of the hardship and poverty of the time as they struggled to raise their family on an acre and a half truck farm - that was their only source of income as there was no work to be had in the area. Still, being thrifty, even after times improved, they kept the bed. To me, it was the height of luxury to have it all to myself, squeaks and all, and the bed linens always smelled of fresh air.

I'm so glad I saw this! My bedroom has janky old uneven plaster walls and that headboard wallpaper will be perfect to cover that up along with the patterned wallpaper. Thanks so much, your after bedroom is just adorable!

Another fabulous transformation. I was wondering, did you hang the sheer curtains on the same rod as the black out curtains? If so, can you still close the black out curtains effectively? Currently doing the curtains in our house and just trying to figure this out. 😊
Just beautiful! I’m going to be checking out that bead board wallpaper. I’ve been wanting some thing like that in my own bedroom for quite some time. A little tip for you - for wooden drawers that won’t slide easily, you can use wax on the bottom of the drawer edges or the interior rails to help them glide easier.
Great choice of colors and the bedroom looks awesome 😎 I also love the repurposed screen door and made it into a barn door attachment. It gives you a door without taking away from the space.
