I’m a butterfly too. I thought I’d get cabinets In my sewing room instead of my pegboards out in the open. They would be in tall cabinets. Out of sight out of mind. I’m going back to visual organized pegboards. I could see everything. Also, that’s a great tip on the labels I think I will label where everything goes and I’ll put it back in the same place always! Then I’ll know where everything is. I also group all thread together. I group all seem tapes, piping, heirloom trims, etc. together. All purse hardware. All my vinyls, all my irons, pressing ham, sleeve rolls, velvet needle board, tailor board, clapper, etc. That way everything is in the same place that’s related to each other.
Lol as soon as you said people ask why you label clear containers my thought was “they must not have a husband like mine!” My husband is literally the sweetest most wonderful spouse but that man does not know the meaning of everything in its place. I, for the most part put everything back in a specific place cuz in my mind that little spot in the cabinet is specifically reserved for the hot sauce, my husband on the other hand leaves it anywhere or everywhere, living room, in the medicine cabinet, next to the plates, I mean he just really doesn’t have a concept for things having a specific spot and THAT is why I’m starting to label literally everything in the house 😂 I just took the quiz and I’m a Bee, I feel so called out lol

What do you suggest for a butterfly who can't do to much holes in the walls for hanging shelves or hooks? Command hooks don't seem to hold so I don't trust with heavier shelf. I also don't have much counter space

Seeing everything out in the open is too much visual clutter for me, I like a more minimal look. And I have no patience with labelling all the things. I just like to keep same type things grouped together, that’s enough order for me. Super interesting!!
I am definitely a butterfly, but there were some questions that I could answer All The Above on. Lol I am so much a visual person. and want everything to be easily accessible, because if I have to dig/search for something, then I lose interest or get distracted by something else I found while looking....the "Oh look, a squirrel syndrome."

I'm a Ladybug in a home full of Butterflies, so this gives me more ideas of how to set up systems for the rest of my family and hopefully inches me a little closer to sanity, lol. My oldest daughter (also a butterfly) just moved into her own apartment and this will also help her in setting up her own systems.

If you rent and rely frequently on adhesive hooks to hold lightweight curtain rods on a wall to hang (light weight!) items, It’s very difficult to find S hooks that are also plastic/ light weight - So far the only place I’ve seen them in store has been at a chain store called Daiso. Just wanted to put that out there in the random chance that someone else is looking for a tip on where to find plastic S hooks in several sizes and colors.
Great ideas! I’m a ladybug that can’t wait to watch episodes on HGTV! I work in retail where everything is on display. When I get home, I need some peaceful places that show off artwork made by my family. I also have hidden places that need organizing BADLY.

I have three children and a soon to be, daughter in law….. ( wedding next June!, a beautiful person inside and out, and she is also my son’s HS sweetheart!) The labeling is a little much. Have confidence in your family that they can visually see where it needs to go without your label... a clean, organized home is good but at the end of the day it is Their Home.. a place to relax
Very interesting. I too am a visual organizer. If icant see it, it's dead to me. Cvs had these small clear zippered makeup bags. I use those for a my electronic items to keep all the attachments together. It works great in my bathroom because I store my epilator, my clarisonic, my fingernail buffer all in their individual cases. I too love hooks! Particularly the command strips.
I'm not sure what I am, because I like labels but I also like things invisible too, but a lot of your ideas work for me as well. I've been using chocolate boxes, golf ball boxes, and shoeboxes for years in closets and drawers, and even in the open after covering them with contact paper or remnant rolls of wallpaper, so boxes are always great. 😊 I think your ladder is so clever, I'm very tempted to try that, as we have so many throws all over. Right now it's fixing up the front garden time, after losing a beautiful blue spruce to the February windstorm, so everything else is on to do list for a while. I need that personal direction from a one on one consultation. I’m lost and overwhelmed. I have no storage and one closet/water tank room with 3 kids and myself, one bedroom, one bath/laundry room and a small living room and kitchen. Toys and game systems are everywhere! Ahhh! 😂😬😑😞

I like using shoe/cereal boxes in drawers as they have straight sides and waist almost no space.
reusing is the best option to the environment and to my wallet...

I’m sure the tips are helpful, but I’m struggling to listen because I’m distracted by how big the house is. I have one drawer in my kitchen!
