the listening to conversations tests are ridiculously fast; how can anyone read all those four options so quickly and yet remember details. I believe these tests are UNFAIR. It is all about what you can do QUICKLY QUICKLY and it is not about understanding the language. The reason I say this is because they even suggest that if you do not have the time to think, go quickly to the next question.... IT IS SIMPLY RIDICULOUS! It all comes down to WHAT ONE CAN DO FAST FAST FAST and not really check how well the language is understood. they should be shamed of testing people who are attempting to learn a language in such a way. Not to mention "the different accents". Some are of these accents when used by native speakers with linking sounds are hard to be understood; and besides in real life when one is going to a certain country,it takes time to get used to the way the locals speak the language he/she is learning , even if the person speaks that language fluently. Now put all this melting pot of accents is again simply NOT FAIR.
Test of English for INTERNATIONAL Communication. The international part implies cross-cultural communication; leading to understanding, acceptance and tolerance of other cultures. As an American living in France, the young lady’s flipping her hair doesn’t shock nor bother me. Both French and American girls do this often (the French even more so). Stop criticizing her and enjoy the free lessons. If it were me, I’d charge you to be able to see the advice that I give my students for improving their results on TOEIC and/or BULATS.
Not good presentation. Very distracting movements of hands to always tuck away and bring back hair from behind ears. Too focused on how she looks. Repeating while writing. Horrible.
