@@hollylevandoski4451 You use a lot more powder that way and the powders are pricey. If I remember the pieces I did a while ago, you get more of a single color nice shimmer when mixed into and then poured. More color shifting this way.
I think the thing I appreciate most about you is that you aren't afraid to use your materials, experiment and just play. So many people (myself included) sometimes get hung up on "wasting materials," when you actually need to do that in order to grow/learn.
They don’t show up as well with clear. I did a couple that way not too long ago. They turn out kinda blotchy looking. It really needs the black or a dark color to bounce the light off of back through the interference color. The good news is you can add a layer of blackened UV resin to just the edge or bottom of the clear pieces and that gives a neat three dimensional shimmer. One piece I even took black magic marker and colored the bottom and it worked! By bottom, I mean the surface you poured into or what it’s sitting on. I can’t remember who it is but there’s someone on TH-cam who does a really good tutorial on interference pigments. I think there’s actually a couple folks who do. GREAT VIDEO as always!
I thought the same thing!! Just to see the effect! Maybe a white one as well. In the pumpkins you could do a variety of colored resins with the same color pigment! Very cool video!
It doesn't give it a crystal look; it is matte with the powder whether you add clear or not. Just did a crystal mold, and it looks dirty from the clear bottom.
Oh my , these are to die for. Yeah , the heart, that skeleton hand, that last crystal, the colors in that and the way they morph into everything. Using black was the best idea ever. Love Love Love! You Rock!!!
Love this! I have a crazy idea. Could you take the dish mold dust only the sides not the bottom. Do a two stage pour first black only up to the sides. Cure. Then clear resin with flowers on the bottom. Just a thought I’d love to see it.
So so pretty!!!! Your second favorite is my first favorite!!! I am OBSESSED!!!! And your first favorite is my second ... tied with the mold you made from the amethyst!!! That one is mesmerizing!!!
Aside from loving resin but being afraid to get into it myself, I just truly love your videos so so much because of your vibe! You're so creative and you just truly seem so sweet and genuine and chill which is more than what can be said about most people on this platform right now. Keep up the amazing content girl!! We love you!
Ok, so I am officially obsessed with your channel, binge-fest today!! And p.s. you are so very, very pretty♥️ and with such a sweet disposition. Very refreshing to find these days, thank you for your efforts♥️♥️♥️ The crafts are fantastic and I am so excited to get started, such inspiration!!
Wow they turned out fantastic!! I agree with you the fully dusted heart dish and the large angled crystal are my favourites the dish in 1st place the crystal 2nd. When you were turning the heart dish on its side it was almost hypnotic to watch. Absolutely loving the hair it rocks girlfriend!
I love the faceted round pyramid. Wow wow they are all so beautiful. Thanks Heather for trying all the new stuff. Love you all to peices also and stay well pl please.
I use color shift all the time!! I use them in sea shell molds and mermaid scales I’ve sculpted. The brand I use is Didspade which is meant for automotive mainly but they have such an awesome variety and if you didn’t know, by changing the resin color you change the effect of the resin! For blue shifts I do a pearlescent (mother of Pearl) and dark blue alcohol ink to color the resin and it gives it a more brighter teal color to the shifts. And if you use a white pigment in the resin before pouring it is a whole new world of colors! Use a mother of Pearl powder in your resin when you use colorshift, it gives it more of a shinier look imo. Love this video
Epic de-molding!! I was literally holding my breath lol. Faves? HEART DISH and the crystal mold you made but honestly, every single thing was stunning.
Ahh they’re so pretty! I would also love to see them with a clear or white resin base! I freaking love the blue/green heart dish and the real crystal 😍😍
I can't stop watching your videos!! You are too funny and cute🤣 1st of all, Thank You for being a 1 stop channel for ALL my newbie questions 💕 I finally decided to try working with resin... and you legit answered all my questions lol 2and of all, your hair is awesome 🤘
I think it would be really cool to see these pigments with clear resin and/or glitter resin. I think that would look really awesome and very crystal like 💕😁🤩 I love the heart dish because blue, teal and turquoise are my jam lol but I really really like the fingers. Those came out really cool.
You should totally do a makeup tutorial one time! It's so on point and your so pretty!! I love love love watching your videos. I've been working with resin for about 4 years now. And I've learned so much from u!! Keep on rocking!!
Definitely something I will like to try ..love those colors.. I love your work so much.. and thanks for teach me how to dry flower's with silica 🙆♀️🙌 younare amazing 🥰
I simply cannot pick a favorite! I LOVE everything! They are all so gorgeous! TFS! You have given me so many ideas... especially about pouring in black. I would not have thought of that! So glad I found your channel!
You killed it.... yes finally someone actually doing these pigment... the heart dish and the hands would look amazing in a shadow box labeled uncle rainbow hands
Omg those gems 😍🤩 I wonder how some of the more flat ones would look with a clear layer of resin, then the dusting of pigments, and then black/white/clear. I feel like it would add even more dimension - at least in my mind! GREAT job!!
My very favorite piece you did was from the handmade crystal mold. Would be cool to add a natural brown on the bottom to look like the outside of a stone. My second favorite is the heart with the plain black middle vs the dusted middle. Your pieces are so gorgeous! And, we live near each other! Maybe some day we could get together and resin. You know, in a year or two when it's actually safe...
That heart dish is my fave! The one with the black center… try that in reverse. I just made a dish piece and only dusted the center. It turned out amaxing
Those are all amazing. You can’t take your eyes off them. I’m using mica powders the pearl colours and I thought those were beautiful. These have surpassed those. I agree that the ones that shift from blue to green or green to blue are my favourite too. Green is my favourite colour. I wish those were available in Canada. Good job.
Color shifting pigments are now going to be your new glitter.. 😜 Loved a lot of these! Can’t wait to see how you use them again! Wonder what would happen if you dusted a flower. 🤔
Love, love, love these! I would like to see what happens when you make a string of lights (like you did earlier with the pumpkins) but dusting the molds with the color changing paint first. If you decide to try this, please make a variety of resins: black, no color, glitter, etc.. I so enjoy watching your videos -thank you!!!
I love this! I had been really curious about eyecandy's colorshift pigments but I wasn’t sure how good they would be. I wanna try them for myself now. Also, the crystal was my favorite piece. I loved the color on it so much!
I do the dusting on my fish molds and other molds but I use clear resin the colors come out bright and they come out awesome love the colors I liked the 2 you shown
I had a mini heart attack when she touched the inside of the heart mold, I've seen so many ruined hand poured molds from fingers 😱 I love colorshift pigments and love your work!!! So happy more resin artist are showcasing the 603 😍
I just want to say that was amazing, especially in the first shot, how the inside of the mild looked like it reversed and instead of having cavities going IN, had peaks reaching OUT. I had to watch that part several times. Awesome optical effect!!
Love your videos! My favorite was the "sorcerer's stone" piece as well. So beautiful! I loved how they all turned out. I also loved your choice to use dark resin, I hadn't though of that until you said it and it was genius!
I know I'm late to the party on this video, but I'm still going through all your videos being a newby. Thank you for this! I just purchased some dragon molds, and this will be perfect for the scales. Definitely going to get a multipack. 😁
Every single one of these came out beautifully 😍 The hand and the darker heart dish are my favs. You seem to really love what you do! Really happy to have found your channel 💖
The crystal mold was my fave, then the skeleton hands color was bad ass, then the Stone, then the hearts were really pretty too but I'm kinda over the heart shape these days. The pumpkins were all very similar in color from where I sat. This shifting color reminds me of a kinda more expensive glassware from the 60's & 70's called Carnival Glass or Tierra Glass. They were sold in Home Parties. I still have my Mom's long stem candy dish in the blue to green rainbowey color like this. All Very Pretty!
Thank you for doing this! I've been obsessed with color shift since I found ILNP ultrachrome nailpolishes. I actually used the polish to colour some ceramic pendants I made, which was far from cost effective, but turned out neat! I have been trying to find better ways of using it in my creations since. I'd be curious to see if a top coat would enhance the shift or not, so there's another excuse to bring these out again, haha! I tend to love the ones that have more extreme shifts, with 3 or 4 colors. I tend to gravitate towards blues, greens, and purples, but i also looove orange and green in the shifts. Gah! Who'm I kidding, I love all the colors!
Ok...my favorite video yet! I’m addicted to those pigments! I use them in my polymer clay pieces. I just did a video a couple of days ago where I made a couple of bracelets with nail foils and one with color shifting powders. I totally love your heart dish! I love how your mold turned out on that. I love learning more stuff about resin from you. I just finished pouring some stuff last night for a new video and I mentioned ya in it. 😊. I’m excited to see what is next from you.
Thank you, this was so cool and informative. Now I must have these! Favorite? That dish was pretty spectacular and those fingers. So hard to choose, but I like the green-gold “ beetle colors” shifts. Who am I kidding, loved them all😍!
I just realized you're wearing an unus annus hoodie!! I love you even more! you're absolutely amazing and a huge inspiration for me to keep working with resin and trying to get better at it...keep up the great work!
Resin is definitely teaching me to just try shit out and see what happens. Which is.. hard.. for a perfectionist. But so far I love it! I only have a starter kit and don't have the budget for nice molds or alcohol inks (yet), but playing around with the acrylic paint, glitter and other stuff I *do* have around the house is nice. Even if I fail sometimes, haha.
What's funny is that you use your pumpkin molds for resin projects, and I use it for ice cubes. I loved this video, although I never use resin when I do work, but I'm now thinking of trying
Gorgeous! Now you need to do a follow up video with clear or white resin to see how those turn out 😍
I knooow! I really wish I had done some with clear or white too! We’ll definitely be revisiting these pigments in the future! ❤️
@@ArtsyMadwoman could you try to mix the powder in clear resin then pour?

I would love to see the color shifting in/on clear resin!
I love the Akebi pigment it's exactly what I image the Akebi fruit.I assume they are Japanese company?
I think the thing I appreciate most about you is that you aren't afraid to use your materials, experiment and just play. So many people (myself included) sometimes get hung up on "wasting materials," when you actually need to do that in order to grow/learn.
ok but everytime i get mesmerized how pretty her artwork is, JUST LIKE HER. like, really. so gorgeous
Would love to see these with clear resin so they maybe look all crystally 🤩

We can't thank you enough for sharing your experience with our pigments! Absolutely phenomenal work and quality of the video / channel. Followed!
Glad you showed these beautiful pigments with a black base, as that's the best way to showcase how vivid they can be. Gorgeous Work!

That’s absolutely possible! That would look amazing!! ❤️

Skeleton hands and the one that looks like actual crystals (from the mold you made yourself). Amazing.

I actually LOVE the heart dish that isn't pigmented in the center. It sort of fades off and idk. I'm obsessed.
All I was desperate for the results but in the end . your beauty diverted my extentions 😍
I know I'm late to the party on this video, but I'm still going through all your videos being a newby. Thank you for this! I just purchased some dragon molds, and this will be perfect for the scales. Definitely going to get a multipack. 😁

They look awesome!!!!! thanks for the info will be getting me some of these!!
Thank you, this was so cool and informative. Now I must have these! Favorite? That dish was pretty spectacular and those fingers. So hard to choose, but I like the green-gold “ beetle colors” shifts. Who am I kidding, loved them all😍!

Amazing!!! I liked the crystal like mold !!!
I have the second and third molds too!
