    I like that you show the mistakes. It's very helpful for people who see those 15 second clips on Insta, think it's super easy, go buy all the supplies and then end up wasting them because they weren't prepared. The ultimate piece was so gorgeous and as usual love your makeup! ❤️

    It amazes me that when you have mistakes, you don’t give up and your projects always look amazing even when they weren’t working as you wanted them too. I knew right away that you didn’t seal the wood and that was why you had so many bubbles. Love your combination of colours.

    Thank you for showing all of the parts of your creative process. It's nice to see the good, the bad, and the in-between as someone who wants to learn resin art!

    I absolutely LOVE that you kept the entire process in there. I love the creative process and the decision making that goes into it. Most of all i love the try’s that get revised into successes. Life is learning. It turned out SO beautiful. I love your determination and positivity and ability to keep true and candid to the camera. You’re such a wonderful person.

    Artsymadwoman you are such a doll! You have just made all of us resin workers feel better because if you have trouble sometimes then we don’t feel so bad when we have to redo somethings. Also waves are difficult and I like how honest you were in this video...you by far my favorite! I hope you are enjoying your new space...have an awesome day!

    I found double sided silicone spatulas at the dollar store. One side is wider for bigger cups/containers and the other side is skinny for the small silicone cups. They're handy for scraping the sides of stuff if you need to. ✌️💕

    Heather next time you do waves try using some Mineral Spirits, just pour a tiny bit in a dixie cup and after you pour your white on just take a skewer and dip it in the Mineral Spirits and run it threw your white, it really helps break up the white and then when you put heat on it it really helps get that foam look!

The way you said "I don't want you to go into it thinking it's easy, then if you mess up being discouraged" made me tear up a bit just cuz all emotions make me cry & I was overwhelmed with how genuine & kind you are. Freaking love you!!!

    Wood breathes even after being cut which causes those bubbles if not sealed prior to resin. However when doing multiple layers it really doesn't matter and in fact I never seal my wood because I always do more than one layer. Beautiful art as always 💖

    Girllllll I was screaming at my iPad! I’m glad you figured out to seal the Wood first. Another tip....even though you added the white to the resin, put clear resin down for the wave first then add the white and resin mix on top and blow out. Also, for the beach sand wave, push the white out and also toward you a little because waves do go out and come back in. Great job though!

    More than anything, I appreciate you explaining your thought process in how to fix the things you didn't like. Problem solving is a big part of the arts, and as in this case, by trying different fixes you can often end up with something even better than your original plan. I didn't exactly understand what you meant by "3D waves" at first, but your final shots made it clear, so ty!!! 🤗🏝💖

    Knowing the struggle is real with an artist shows how important it is to see mistakes. this piece is stunning. I love old wood and now I have to try this. It turned out stunning. I absolutely love how you don't edit everything out of your videos and let the world see that you are human and you make mistakes and give us the lesson so we don't make the same mistakes and also show us that you can save a project even when you do make mistakes. The reason you got the air bubbles in the first layer is because the wood has pores and air bubbles and as the resin gets absorbed into the wood the gases in the wood need to get out to make room. That’s why often in resin furniture building with wood you will see them clear coat the edge of the wood where resin will be in contact with one or two thin layers to help block the gases from escaping!

    Thank you for taking us through your process . . it is sooo much more helpful to see the up and downs of a project than just seeing the gorgeous outcome .. just continue until you are satisfied .. but girl, I know how hard it is ;-) Even though I have never worked with resin and have just started watching your channel because it is so visually stunning I was wondering if you couldn't pour some extra bubbly half white/half transparent resin over the white part of the wave to make it more sea foam looking . . maybe leave it sitting a bit before so that the bubbles stay in better? You are awesome, I love your energy . .

    Oh honey, I know just what you mean! My first attempt was awful as well! I must have went over it 20 times! It really is not that easy- and I am glad that you showed the whole video. It does show how you are applying the paint and how it does not flow the way you want when you apply the air. I used air gun but in order for it to blow harder on the resin, I had to turn the heat up as well! Doing that in turn made any resin the air was hitting melt into a big mess. You have to do it when surface is dry at least 12 hrs to add waves and you have to use the right kind of white paint to achieve the cells and 3 D look. Practice, practice and practice. You did great and I love your videos- you have such a fun-loving personality which does not drag in the videos. Thanks for all you post and keep up the good work!

    I have learned that when working with wood if you lay down a thin layer of clear resin and then drop the wood down several times on the table it will help prevent air pockets (bubbles) before you add any color. Sometimes, with old barnwood you may have to do two thin coats, but it definitely helps.

    • @rezinate1700
      @rezinate1700 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try a couple coats of polyurethane maybe. That way you don't have to waste any reain on just sealing the wood. Since that is the most expensive part of art, it might help save some reain for ya i. The future

    Art is always about mistakes that usually end up priceless just like this - its gorgeous!! Keep showing it all, its exactly how novices like me learn. I rather liked the first pour with the bubbles, they kinda looked like sea creatures / shells hidden below the surface. 👌👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💖
