Composed by Hiroki Kikuta. Recreated by me. This was made possible by locating the original instrument samples from workstation keyboards and drum machines before they were put into the game and rebuilding the soundtrack from the ground up, applying some modern mixing techniques along the way to lift the veil of 16bit compression and create an updated listening experience. @@paulor.2069 Because the community is universally buying into the content, treating it as definitive enough where they want to patch actual SNES rom images with his versions, implying the compositions from the original composers are inferior and the original art should be replaced. And he is getting monetary donations to do this, I don’t feel comfortable subbing to be party to that.
They are not inferior, how would the original composer feel about that?
With this response from the community something needs to be said because nobody else is. Your reply tells me you are opposed to even having a discussion about the points raised in my original comment. You are also telling me to just leave this echo chamber, great.
Do you make a facsimile of an art masterpiece because it’s dirty, aged or damaged and hang it in a museum for society to appreciate as definitive? Or do you clean, preserve and restore the original?
This video is the former, I prefer the latter because I value the original art.
Does anyone care about original works of art being casually tossed aside and replaced? Is his community resistant to having a critical discussion on any of these points, dismissing those that do?
Reflect on why there is only praise amongst his community.

Have you ever watched his live streams? He puts in hours at the computer to carefully preserve the feeling of the original while making his own spin on it. He takes feedback seriously and has even re-released songs because his followers said it didn't fit the original feel of a song. This man puts in hard work, and that's fine if you don't appreciate it. Your point is somewhat valid in general, but I don't see how it applies to jammin sam 🤷‍♂️

​​​@@excronoalso, that's my footage in his video. I intentionally went out of my way to run this game beginning to end for his compositions. I guess that was all a waste too? Since it went to a bad cause and I'm not getting a monetary cut of it.
