I have the red one branded as FOXSUR for about a year. I have used it to charge a 200ah lifepo4 battery with no issues. I try to charge with solar as much as possible though.
@@IH8CalSpa It depends how many amps you charge it at. Most 200ah lifepo4 are recommended to be charged at 20 amps, and will take about 8 hours. You can get one with a choice of 2 (trickle), 5,10, 20, 25 amps for about $50. Higher amps=quicker charge. Hope that helps. Good luck, be safe.
I use a 5$ buck. It can handle 20a with a fan. Works great in parallel too if needed. Charged a 12v250ah many times using 3 in parallel at 40a. I just charge to 14v. The amp will hit zero when done. I charge smaller ones too, lile 32650 and other. Can set both amps & volt as i need. Got one on my 24v solar pumping out 14v to all my 12v fans & lights all over the house.
discovered that resistance is high with those battery clamps and these battery chargers are sensitive to resistance...so keep the charger charging the battery to 100% connection was secured by nut and bolt...and quick disconnects between battery and charger. a good solution for tolling motor/charger/battery.
Thanks for the information you just saved me about £80 just ordered the red one it's a different manufacturer in the UK but its the same one and only cost £19.19 👍
I have been using the red ones for about a year in 2 different places. I have 3 of them. They charge all my batteries no issues at all. Lifep04, lead acid, and deep cycle . I honestly can't complain. I use them for 50ah and 100ah lifep04 batteries all the time. And I have had batteries my Schumacher chargers would just lock up trying to charge but these chargers were able to do it.
I have two 30 amp victron battery chargers and love them. I prefer to charge my batteries , slow to extend the life on them and mainly because a weekend warrior and have plenty of time for them to recharge.
I am planning to buy those. I have a query, I am using battery as back up for my starlink and Laptop, what are the ways to keep my battery healthy? Should I charge the battery even I only used the battery in just 1 hour during power outage? Is it healthy to keep it 100% all the time even though I don't use it always?
Bought the 20 amp Li time charger...spent $94.00. It does a great job charging the 230ah battery I bought from them as well (about 3 hrs).. Wish I would have seen this video...probable would have went with the cheaper one and saved some money..
Thanks. Once mine reaches 60%, it displays ' off' and comes on again repeatedly. I was wondering if it was part of the LiFe charging cycle. Had to go out so I turned it off to be safe.
If the charger cannot detect the very flat battery, the BMS maybe shut down. To wake it up put 12v across the flat battery for a few seconds then you might have 11v on the zero volt batter, now the red charger will detect and charge. If that does not work take the 12v battery apart, if each of the 4 cells inside measures over 2.5v each you need to replace the BMS, about USD8$ upwards from china for 12v 100A BMS
What does your LiTime charger do when the battery reaches 100%? My LiTime charger, charging a LiTime 100Ah battery, runs for a second or two than shuts off. It repeats this cycle until I unplug the charger. Is this normal?
I have only that happen once a couple weeks ago. I had 2 new eg4 lifep04 batteries delivered. They have bluetooth built in so I was able to see they needed charging. It was winter delivery so when I tried charging them right off the delivery truck it did that immediately on both batteries. I left them overnight to warm up and they charged normal next day. The light turned green and stayed green after fully charged.
@@EricBarger Mine does the same thing...the company replied to me that it was normal..I haven't drawn down the battery enough to require a charge, since

When my ATian charger plugged in and not connected to a battery, it displays the "OFF" stage, but the leads have a 17V charge. I am wondering if this is normal.
I have done a test on 2 of my chargers and you are on to something. Mine showed 29V on one and 30V on the other in OFF mode. I have done an update to this video and posted it in the description and below. Thank you harleycharley01 for bringing this up because that could be a safety issue for those using these!!! th-cam.com/video/BkZPY6Ch4Xg/w-d-xo.html
Both extremely overpriced. You can get server power supplies converted to CC CV power supplies. 0-15V 0-50A and there is even one that is 0-15V 0-100A. The first one is about $60 shipped and the latter is $110 shipped. There is also a 0-100V 0-20A (0-15A on 120V circuit) charger for $110 shipped.
@@PS-kq1ur for the first two I mentioned yes, there is no current cut off at a certain point (typically 0.05C is the cutoff point) For the third one I mentioned I believe you can set a cutoff. I know the more expensive ZXD2400 (~$220 depending on which version you get, they have different displays) has a ton of adjustability and that includes current cutoff

How long does it take to charge 100ah Lifepo4 battery on those charges (10A) in comparison? Also how many watts they take on the input?
Thanks
10 hours
So get a 20 amp and do it in 5 hours etc
The fan is the weak spot on the cheaper ones. Oil helped, but it still squeals off and on.

I have a 48 volts battery for e bike how to replace bad batteries

To charge lithium batteries with that charger you choose the Lifep04 setting on the unit.
