- Zhiyun just released four new powerful bi-color lights in their new Molus B-series. These lights have a more conventional design featuring a standard Bowens mount which makes them perfect to use for keylight with regular modifiers. In this video we take a closer look at the B200 - the 200W version in this series that ranges from 100 all the way up to 500W with the B500

I love those little lights, but I think Zhiyun did the right thing, bringing out this new B-series for longer shoots
how do u compare it with G300 which it can up to 500w too?same output if both uses 500w?
I would say they're built for different purposes and use cases. The B series will run more quiet especially if and when you're in need of more power and also want the option of recording audio.

The Molus G and X series is great, the B series.. not so much
I've not had any issues. It think it's great that Zhiyun now offers the whole package. Especially for people who bought their smaller Molus lights as they now can be integrated in bigger shoots. Instead of giving that market share to the competition.
Why every youtuber who explain about light always saying the fan will be picked up with the mic.. so stupid are you guys shooting without air conditioning? Thats fan inside it why bother taking the fan noise of the light 😂😂
Not sure what you mean.
But the reason it's often brought up is:
1. Fan noise can be problematic and distracting
2. Even if lots of lights today have decent quiet fans, far from every new light do
3. In this case with the Molus B Series they're much more quiet than the fairly recent G series which shares some similarities like output and regular Bowens mount. This makes it a quite important feature to demo in this case.
As for ac units. First of, they’re very uncommon in this part of the world so I cant speak to the use of those. Secondly, some people may not care about how clean their audio is while others do. It may also depend on the situation and what's being filmed. A howling gamer vs. A quiet scene or person where noise might be picked up and heard quiteclearly.
Or maybe you're working in a tiny studio or set where it's difficult to place a light far enough away from a microphone for it's fans if noisy to be picked up. Dealing with noise in post can be a pain and can often degrade the overall quality of the audio.
Anyway that's a few of the reasons why things like fan noise is brought up in these situations. To some people it can be a deciding factor. I hope this answers your question.
