I hope they do an actual konquest mode with a next-gen mortal kombat game soon. The way they do it now is sort of boring. All you is fight a match and watch the story unfold. It is so short too. I literally finshed MK 10 in less than a day. I could probably do MK 9 and 10 in a full day. The way they do the game now is so short and repetative already after 2 games. Like MrGSTAR said in the beginning all the MK games on the PS2 konquest mode was different. MK Deadly Alliance, Deception, Shaolin Monks, and Armageddon was longer and different from each other and were fun respectfully.
i don't think we will get the cool interactive story driven game the hardcore fans hope for. ever since warner brothers became the owners of the franchise it has become something of a joke to me. all the "story" modes are more or less movies with fights strewn in. it began with mk vs dcu and has been going strong ever since and personally i just think everyone involved is a greedy bastard ruining the series, but i guess thats just my opinion. maybe one day warner bros will allow for a game that isn't retarded bullshit.

I loved Armageddon's Konquest mode, I agree that Deception's is better, but this one was still pretty solid, MK Armageddon would not have been as memorable without it, thanks for the upload man, hilarious commentary as always.

Sadly guys, the Mortal Kombat Universe that we all grew up loving and playing is dead and gone, and this was the final Mortal Kombat game in my opinion. Armageddon was the perfect ending. Unfortunately WB and Netherealm Studios created a new Mortal Kombat Universe after Armageddon, Mortal Kombat 9 was the beginning of something that looked like the Mortal Kombat Universe that we used to know, but it totally was not. The new writers and designers at Netherealm Studios don’t know a thing about the Mortal Kombat Universe and it’s characters, they basically turned popular fleshed out characters from the Mortal Kombat Universe and turned them into weird shells of their former selves, some of the writers even put their own characteristics, speech slang and beliefs onto some of the Mortal Kombat Characters that we all grew up following and loving, and that is the worst thing that they can do, they should have just created their own new characters, but they didn’t. The music or lack of music in the new MK timeline is horrible as well, the original timeline had so many memorable tracks that still kick ass up to this day. Everything you hear in the new timeline is either remixes of the old tracks, or terrible new music that sounds very generic, as if it came from some B-Movie that you’ll see on the Sci-Fi Channel. This new timeline is so bad, that it’s already being rebooted again by Fire God Liu Kang, and it only had 3 games, while the original timeline had 8 games (if you count MK vs. DC too). The franchise sold out with all the guest characters that take up roster space, that should go to characters from the actual Mortal Kombat Universe that haven’t been seen in a while that fans grew to love and use, or characters that never got that much screen time to shine either, or create brand new characters. The only thing I like about the new timeline was the inclusion of actual brand new characters from the Mortal Kombat Universe, such as Cassie Cage, Takeda, Kung Jin, Erron Black, Garas, Cetrion, Jacqui Briggs and Kotal Kahn. Sadly the rest of the new timeline was just terrible and didn’t make sense in the terms of being a Mortal Kombat game.
I revisit these every now and then. Where are you Gstar? Are you married? Are you still playing MK? ARE YOU DEAD? Have you evaporated into the night, waiting for the right time to return just when the world needs you?
I honestly prefer Taven over Shujinko. And the reason why Taven looks the same throughout the Konquest mode compared to Shujinko is unlike Shujinko, Taven is half-Edenian (who age very slowly anyways) and half-God.

I prefer Taven over Shujinko for two main reasons; Shujinko had no original moves of his own gameplay wise, and he was just the most naive and easily manipulated boy scout. Taven comes off as more like my favorite ache typical protagonist, the reluctant hero who is somewhat of an asshole. While Shujinko is more like my least favorite; the pure, goody-goody boy scout.

Hate konquest in this. In deception i love how open all the worlds were. You really got an awesome sense of exploration when moving around all the different worlds. This is just like a cheap version of shaolin monks for me. Its ok though i guess but i prefer deception.

You should play Killer 7 it has a very unique art style and at least to me is a horror game. Also if you beat the game you get Killer8 which is a much harder version of the game. Love your videos man you deserve way more subs :)
I've never played deception, but I would really put MK: Armageddon up there with one of my most favorite games. Create-A-Fighter, Motor Kombat, were wonder additions to the game, as well as the 3D fighting maps that I believe were also transferred from Deception. All-in-all, a perfect game to tie in the end of the Midway years.
