Hi, I have an Horizon Elite 507. It turns on completely normal. All the buttons work fine and I can adjust the incline completely fine. However the motor for the belt doesnt start. If i chose a speed, it just wont start turning. I disconnected the cables from the MCB and connected the motor straight to a battery and it started moving, so the error is not on the motor! But I guess on the control board. However I dont know where and how to fix it. Do you have any idea?

I seen on some other video that you should not work on the control board immediately after unplugging it until the LED light goes out as they said the board can have stored residual energy and you could get a shock. Is that correct? Why does the LED stay lit for a while after unplugging it? I have a Freespirit treadmill from Sears and made by Horizon. I bought it in late summer 2008 and I used it for 3 years but not heavy use. Then I had it professionally packaged in 2011 and stored for 5 years and it has not worked since. It was a higher end model that was $2500. The console lights up, the timer counts up when you press start, and the incline works but it won’t start the belt. When you try to start the belt there’s a click on the control board and the LED is a solid red and then maybe 10 seconds later it clicks again but nothing happens at all. There’s only one LED on my board. I have connected the motor directly to a battery and it turned the belt. I’m considering to buy a new control board but I read about some people having the same issue online and they said they bought a new control board and still had the same issue. The part number on my controller is Part #: SJED08089ED which has been replaced by Substitution: 032669-IF. Not sure if there’s some known defect with the original board and hence the new part number.

Well on some models the capacitor holds a small charge for a couple minutes so maybe better safe and wait until light goes out. On why they change parts # horizon does this a lot not sure why I wouldn’t think it’s because of defects normally they only make parts for exercise equipment for about 10 years

Horizon boards hold a charge for a long time wait ten minutes it should go away! Then it is safe to work on

Trying to figure out if it's a board issue. I have a T202 Horizon and it cuts off after 10 minutes or so of use. There are what look like brown scorch marks on the plastic sheaths for the red and black cabled running from the motor to the board. Is this typical of a board failure?

Not really if the unit is still running! Then more than likely the walk belt is worn and causing the motor to over heat . See the video on testing your sole walk belt. On my channel fitness technology services

Hi, I’ve the horizon T4000 elite. Unfortunately no power to the control panel. Would you say it’s the MCB ? I get the red power led and the flashing green led.

Well most likely but I would walk test your walking belt to see if it is the cause of overheating controller! Send me your serial number or model number to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail.com I will send you links for testing the belt normally horizon numbers are on the frame bottom

Hi Mr. serviceman! th-cam.com/users/shortsosKTrjAlI3s?si=3XgTaa-yxDmdLt_Q Can you help me with my treadmill Horizon Advantage 3 Plus? It not able start. I don't know where is the mistake. Is it upper control board or keypad(no response) after touch) or lower control board? It was done... visual and tested/checked motor, cable between upper vs. lower board controlboard. Where is the propably mistake??? The error do it (repeat) with or without safe key. How many light the LEDs of LCB? Its shining only one red LED, but the board has got next one in left upper corner of board. Thank you very much

Well that’s a odd one but once the console receives power The lower controller has done its first job. All buttons should respond to touch And it should never come on without the safety in . I would start with checking module the key goes into see if you can find were it hooks in console pc board and unhook it if you can. At first this sounds like the display and keypad .But were is that noise coming from?? Never heard that odd ! Great video by the way

I checked the power from LCB cable to Upper board between pins 4&5 and the pins 7&8 output power was 15V DC. The contact with safe key between the upper board is good. But the keypad no beep and no response after the touch. The noise comes from of the one relay from the LCB on the video. I need some datasheet to the treadmill. I'm confused. Can it be keypad? Does the device after start some test all accesories with keypad? How can I do test it? The error repeat itself with the key and the key board no beep + no response. The error "Verbinden" is from Germany language, it means like as "connect it" ...

@@tornadostornados9363 Hmm this sounds like two issues. The console sounds bad.and horizon does not sell the display and key board separate as far as I know. And the controller should not make that noise see if it goes away if you take away the neutral incline wire. I not sure on console? Try unhooking different daughter boards that go to it looking for a short

@@FitnessTechnologyServices ok I will try you advice and later on you inform. The relay is noisy and keypad is no response it can be actually 2 errors. The LCB has got 2 LEDs one of them is red (shining right lower corner) and the second LED in left upper corner no shining. What its mean? I try disconnect incline connector and motor and other accesories, I let go only connect cable to upper board and try it turn on...
