I used a 4kw ac speed controller with a KCP5010 bridge rectifier on a treadmill motor and beautiful! Will buy the bigger version. Cheers from Australia 🙂. Excellent video
Apakah rangkaian ini bisa menjadi alternatif pengganti controller bawaan treadmill yg telah rusak? Biasanya torsinya akan berkurang drastis jika dibenani?
Hello. Thanks for informative video. I would like to know how to do this but with the motor not running at all when speed controller is turned right down?
What if you want the indicator light to come on when you turn on the power, and off when you turn off the power? It seems that it’s more important to know when it’s powered up rather than down. Paul
With this system if input power 220volt ac after full bridge it will be littlebit drop 5-15volt , mine is 195-200 DC volt output. This is the draw back using this kind of speed controller
Why does the motor sound so rough? It seems that the AC dimmer is not very suitable for DC motors even though the current is rectified with a bridge diode.
Hi Jhon Arief it,s a very good tutorial i learnt ,, I also need your help ,,,I have i DC 22.2v vaccum cleaner and now it,s giving problem ,, ( voltage cut off at second speed ) further more it,s a built in charger,,speed controller board . Now i need to convert it to a DC to DC speed controller, I see a lot of controller sales on line , Which is the best one u can recommend .. ( input 35v or more power one ,, yr advice please tks
Mas... Voltase yang keluar dr rectifier sama dengan Voltase yg keluar dari AC controller? Arusnya gimana/berapa? Kalau AC kan rata² 10A. Kl yg keluar dari rectifier berapa? 5A? Sesuai rectifier yg dipake? Spec motor ex treadmill-nya apa? 220V 3A 500Watt?
1. No it can not use dc input for this controller, if I have dc power input like 48v battery power I just connected directly to my motor because my motor is dc motor but that motor spec is 220vdc motor with 4000 RPM and if I use 48v DC power it will reduce the motor speed by 1/4 2. No you can't, 4000 + 4000 watts controllers it didn't mean that out put becoming 8000watt it still 4000watts
Yes you can sir, that is simple because this is DC motor you only need to switch the positif and negative wire out put by adding another 6 pin toggle switch
@@dandianaf2361 you should look after the capacitor voltage first (if you savaging parts as I do). The capacitor voltage should be higher than the line output. In my case, a 400v 560μf worked just fine. Higher capacitance, better the noise filtering
Hello! my name is Florin and I'm writing to you from Romania, I also have a 180v engine similar to yours and I don't know how to start it because it only works on 180 volts, can you tell me what parts to buy to be able to start it in function? Thank you in advance!
For just a little more money, you could have purchased a much better controller. Your controller is triac-based which works the same way as a standard light dimmer. It will give you variable speeds at the expense of torque. What you really want instead is a 220V/120V PWM DC motor controller. It works by pulsing the current at high frequencies to give you an effective speed voltage and current using a microcontroller. The torque is greatly improved and they are not anymore expensive.
I could not find not expensive PWM DC motor controller, if you could point me to one it would be very helpful.I think PWM is much more expensive, for 180V 10A DC motor you have to spend about 200USD and SCR and bridge rectifier 80USD
Very good tutorial, I'm using this control unit for my lathe. Thanks really helpful

WOW! Excellent job on creating your video! Super informative and interesting! 🙏🙏 Cheers from Alaska!!
Very interesting. Thanks for showing us
My vevor 48v motor has three wires coming out of it and it’s own controller. Could I open the controller and add the rectifier to the system?
Really great video
That's a pretty loud DC motor!

Paul
Just switch the wire connection input fot that light indicator sir
Good job.
Thanks for the tutorial.
God bless. ❤️
What is the max DC voltage and Amps that comes out at the output after the full bridge rectifier?
Is it more than the motor is rated for?

Can we use the capacitor middle of the negative and positive
I,m seeking a 24/48v DC speed controller that will speed up or slow down a 200A DC brush type motor tx
I was crying when I saw this video because there were no available parts to repair my old treadmill.
BARRING EXTREME OLD AGE OR DISABILITY, YOU DONT NEED A DAM TREADMILL. GET OUT AND EXERCISE LIKE GOD INTENDED.

I am using a DC motor to operate my machine, I do not have a plug to plug into a wall. It starts at DC and ends at DC.

Hi sammy, if you have input 35v dc I recomended you to buy PWM speed controller thats good for dc speed controller

That motor controller that you use is rated for 220volt ac input, can you use this on a 48volt battery?
And is there a way to connect 2 of those to get a 8000 watts capacity or even more?

You are welcome👍,
You can use pwm motor controller for dc motor input
Very good. Are those cheap speed controllers reliable ? Do they overheat ? I see they also sell some with the rectifier already built in.
Yes those are cheap one, if you want to use it I suggest buy twice bigger than your motor capacity
Can you wire the switch to work for forward and reverse?
Yes you can sir, that is simple because this is DC motor you only need to switch the positif and negative wire out put by adding another 6 pin toggle switch
I did the same project but used a capacitor as filter to BR. It runs quietly.
what size capacitor do you use?

Hi Florin, you need only 3 parts to run that dc motor, first You can buy 4 kw ac speed controller and KCP5010 Bridge rectifier diode and toggle switch
Dear sir can i use ac motor apart from diode?
How is ac motor fro treadmil unit?
Please suggest a ac motor. Rpm & watts
To make 70kg capacity treadmil
For treadmil used AC motor is not recomended sir
A speed controller are ac to dc or ac to ac
Ac to ac sir, after speed contrller you will add rectifier diode to change from ac to dc

Sir what is the name or called that set, together with the potentio meter? The one that u mention 20 dollar?
