The Waterside Inn is worth every star. Starting at the front door on Ferry Road, to one's seat in the dining room, this is a true experience. I have dined at several Michelin starred restaurants and the Waterside is in a class of its own. Alain is to be commended. Not to be missed!
I had my family join us for my 75th birthday in River cottage the private dinning room of the Waterside Inn. It seats up to 12. We could not have had chosen a better venue. We were looked after really well and the food was excellent
You should've said, 'and that's a good thing'. What you said implies that people consider it bad, for a three-star restaurant to be relaxed and casual. Psychology is a trip.

Your food arrives cold but because it's 3 star you dare not complain , instead you smile and say it's the best thing I've ever eaten !
