- Using the Vassal module that is available for A Most Fearful Sacrifice is explained. Use the Vassal module to either play AMFS solitare on your PC either solitaire OR opposed live play with a friend located just about anywhere.
Some spiffy (if somewhat unnecessary) programming in there, especially with the charts and tables!!! Good to see that this game is so well supported!!!
I updated the module to add the missing charts, counters, and added a single 1d6 die roller!
Hi Elliot! Most excellent!! Thank you for keeping the module up to date on this most excellent of games. - Paul
@@theoakenknight1748 my pleasure. You helped me learn the game! I just need to get better with programming Vassal and hope my new mod is useful to the community.
Is your work in putting scenario 12 available anywhere for download? Thank you.
Hello Mr Sun! Thanks for writing. You know…, I never posted exactly what I did. Good news is that AMFS is on my table and my next video will go into it in more detail. Stay tuned…. - Paul
Thanks for the video. I've just traded my copy away - unfortunately the game's activation system doesn't work well for me😐
The activation system still has a lot of variability in it; if you don’t get the die rolls you need as the ANV, you don’t have much of a chance. That’s happening to me in a Vassal game I’m playing. Problem is, I think the ANV actually did have high level command problems at Gettysburg. - Paul
@@theoakenknight1748 Thanks for your thoughts and for the idea with "March to the Sound of the Guns". My recent playthrough inspired me to write a review for the game on BGG, where I address my thoughts on activation system.
I managed to download Vassal a few years ago but admittedly am an absolute noob about it. No idea how to download product, play it etc. But...I'm a good learner. Any hints? Must you own a game copy?
Hello JM82! I'd suggest spending some quality time on TH-cam; I'm sure there are videos out there demonstrating downloads and module installation. If "my guys" are having trouble, I can do that, but I'm thinking there's stuff out there. THen, pick a game you like -- something simple -- download, install, and play it. Yes, it will be awkward at first, but you will soon get used to it. Then mix and repeat with other, more complicated games/modules, and in a week you too will be an expert! Or at least comfotable with it. Thanks for the comment.... -- Paul
th-cam.com/video/yfl1nhB60cM/w-d-xo.html Start here. And start by getting the latest version of Vassal. Significant upgrades in the last "two years".
