OMG, I forgot to mention that I also run a FREEZER, 24/7, and that uses most of my electricity!! It's been a struggle. Now I will run that, easy breezy!!!
That's a game changer for you Lulu, I am delighted for you.. It will be worth every penny because you can relax and not be worrying all the time that you will run out of power 👍😉🇮🇪☘️Eire
Lulu, you are TRULY blessed by our HEAVENLY FATHER. Now you can travel to your heart’s content without a worry that you won’t have sufficient power inside your home on wheels, for you can now use everything that you want to function with ease. Merry Christmas.
Lulu, what freezer do you have? I’m looking for one for my vintage trailer to just do the ice packs in. Yours is the right size. I have a much larger one for our big rv but I don’t want to take it in my vintage. Thanks!
I have the brand DOC, I got it on Amazon but I see they don't carry it anymore. it's 9 qt. so any 9 qt. fridge/freezer should work well. I think Alpicool carries one that small.
I truly am excited that your electrical issues have been taken care of. This man is a genius and I am glad that you found someone that is reliable and knows his stuff. This will be great on your future trips. Yea!
Thanks so much for explaining the DC thing because I have no clue as to how it works as well but I’ll probably have to hear it two three more times to understand the complete situation so I thank you for that
Congrats Lulu! I installed a DC-DC charger in my DIY electrical system when I built out my Promaster City. The charger has kept my battery (1200 watt-hr) fully charged, automatically, all the time. The only time I’ve seen the battery get down to 50% is when I was camped for more than 3-4 days. Even that’s not an issue: just start the engine, and charge the battery. I’m just now installing the wiring for solar, and will only use solar to keep the battery topped up when in camping mode. IMHO, the DC charger is definitely the way to go. Cheers! Doug
If I had a guy like you, I would buy a Cargo Van in a second. I have just had no luck finding anyone that knows anything. I am very happy for you. To have a 2000 Watt Bluetti and still having such power issues is just not acceptable. Glad you got it fixed.
Lulu, I heard you talk about the pillow. I have never found one that was really comfortable so I bought one. That is the BEST pillow. Last night was the first night I used it. Thanks for the heads up on it. Now I wish I had bought two!
oh, I'm glad you love it!!! it really is the BEST pillow. and, they can be throw in the washing machine too!! I loved them so much I bought 4 of them!! 2 for me and one for each of my kids, cuz I wanted them to have the best pillow evah!!!!
So thrilled to see this. Especially thrilled to hear that he is in Ipswich, MA, as I plan to go to MA for a few months. Looked it up, and I'll be staying . . . wait for it . . . 23 minutes away from his shop !!! So excited. Thanks, Lulu !!!!
Very nice, I’m hopeful when I start my journey traveling I’m able to find the correct person to help me with such things, enjoy watching your van transform.
So glad to hear you're sorting out your power issues, Lulu! I know it's been a struggle for a while. I don't want to rain on your blissful parade, but... do you know if that new charging box under your bed radiates an electromagnetic field (EMF)? I always keep electronic gadgets away from my sleeping space. It makes me crazy when I see folks charging their phone right beside the bed while they're sleeping. There are a few things you can do to offset any EMF effects. One is to place a magnetic barrier between you and the radiation field. It's a big reason they make magnetic mattresses, but even some high gauss-rated earth magnets around the charging box would help a lot. Earth magnets under your mattress would also help buffer you from the EM fields created by your Bluetti and the freezer. This information is right in my wheelhouse, Lulu, but you may want to run it past your natural health advisor, because I know you trust her judgment. Just looking out for you in my own way!
YAY! I am so happy that your electric needs are taken care of😊 I look forward to the next adventure. Watch out Florida😂 Thanks for taking us along, Lulu❤️
I’ve learned some very useful information from watching the saga of your power solutions! I love that you have that monster of a power station because it’s exactly what you need to be sure you continue to eat what you want, the way you want it, when you want it. I also love the learning process along the way. You’ve talked about the struggles of keeping the BLUETTI charged up and some of the solutions you came up with along the way. I’m so delighted to see that you found the fix to this whole thing! You’re upcoming respite in Florida can be easy breezy now!😊
Just be aware that the engine will be working harder when the dc-dc is running ... So keep an eye on the engine temp (especially in the summer when the AirCon is running), and watch out for problems starting. That's quite a high power charger for a modest engine/alternator to handle. My sienna has a similar engine/alternator and I went safe with a charger 1/3 the size of yours.
That is awesome, Lulu! 🤯🤩 What a Game Changer!! Hopefully there will come a day when an RV rig can fully recharge all it's power needs in a sort of cycling circuit, electrical or otherwise. There are a lot of RVers like me who prefer to camp in wetter or even snowy states where solar really isn't very useful at all.
Very informative, I have gotten pretty good building solar power into my travel trailer and a couple other places on the property. Never knew much about DC to DC chargers, sounds like it's just what you need.
Hot dog 🌭! Glad to hear it’s changing up your power station so quickly. Looking 👀 forward to hearing about how it does when you are camping in Florida regularly using your pressure cooker & freezer to make blue ice packs for cooler. Safe travels! 🚐
Wow! I wish I could find someone in Florida to do this to my PMC. I have 2 Bluetti AC180s, 200w solar on the roof, and portable panels. 700w charging!?! Wow!
Hi Lulu! Tonight my husband and I were busy and getting home late. My husband wanted Burger King for dinner and I said “no I am going to eat Lulu’s way.” So I ran into the store and bought a ready made package of Basmati rice to microwave, a package of portobello mushrooms, red onion, red pepper, and cabbage, and a rotisserie chicken. I got home and tossed it in a skillet with olive oil and microwaved the rice for 90 seconds and tossed it all together and I was eating dinner in less then 10 minutes. When I finished eating I felt great and not yuck like I usually do after eating fast food. And I made enough food that I packed up in containers that has given me enough for three meals easily. So my dinner may have been more expensive then fast food but in the full scope of how many meals I will get out of what I bought for tonight then it’s not as expensive as fast food and was very affordable. :) Also if your still reading I watched tonight a video of where you met a fan “carol”. I live in Deltona Florida which is just a few miles from Deland. I know you’ve been to Deland and thought that would help reference where I am. I would love to get to meet you the next time your in central Florida. I would be willing to drive wherever you are in this area. Also my sister lives in Marshfield, Ma. I don’t know if you know that area but it’s fun to know I have family in Massachusetts too. :) Anyway Thank you so much again! Also I would love to see a video of how you use a pressure cooker to make a meal. I’m 52 and have never used a pressure cooker. lol.
hi Leslie!! YES, that's Lulu's Way!!! healthy food, healthy life!! you must feel so great that you made the choice to serve yourself well, and you have more delish meals waiting for you, easy breezy!! I have several videos where I am cooking in my pressure cooker, here's a couple that I can think of off the top of my head: th-cam.com/video/fbpExkLiIwM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_mkEBgmknPx0Q7zp. In addition to that video, if you go to youtube and search "Lulu's Way Pressure Cooker", three videos show up!! Marshfield is about 40 miles from me!!! I am hosting three meetups this winter in Deland Florida, it would be lovely if you'd join us, I would love to meet you!! request to join this FB group and you'll see all the details: m.facebook.com/groups/163555516818669/?ref=share
You have two awesome BBs helping you get your van just right. Looks like men with B names are lucky for you😂! Love that shirt. That’s exciting you are cranking out the volts now! I love your channel because you’re real so keep sharing all the awesome things but also share things that bug you. 🤗🙏🏻
Make sure you find out what voltage of fuses (I think that's the correct term 😅) your car uses, and the breaker box he installed so you can buy some extras to go in your little tool box ...just in case you ever blow one. I'm sure you'll watch him change it out. They're pretty easy to install.
You can use 2 smaller ones and charge one while using the other. I dedicate one to my refrig freezer and use the other for everything else. Never gone down to even 50%...
nomorebsforme, I'm sorry..just so I understand... You are saying "you can use what?" You are referring to the charging station?" If so, what exact charging station do you have, and what is the wattage? So where do you charge yours, while using the other? So glad to hear that you have a good solution for you that is working and thanks so much in advance for your information.
So happy that you’ll have enough power for your needs! I don’t understand all that electrical stuff either. Can’t wait to see you doing your thing in Florida!
I see a dc to dc device in my future now. I just purchased a 2000 watt bluette. I’m building out my van this winter. DIY very simple. Love watching your upgrades as well as your trips.
So awesome! But I am counting on you to understand this volt watt amp thing so we will learn together. I thought I was the only one that would say "explain this to me like I am 5." I have watched several good videos and it is just not my strength. Great video!
Lulu that's awesome you are super charged now. That will eliminate a huge inconvenience. You'll be able to really enjoy your Florida stay and cook cook cook anytime you want.
OMG I UNDERSTAND JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DO!!!! For me though it's pretty much nothing at all. I'm going to Quartzsite in January hoping I will get some knowledge. Lol🤣🤣 I'm glad you have someone to help you 🤗🤗Thank you for your videos.
I’m so happy for you! After 3 plus months on the road, this is my number one issue as well. I have an 1100 watt hour power bank and 130 watts of solar. The whole place is gorgeous and so perfect! Sooo, now for the switch … all you need to do is glue four of your fancy “diamonds” to the tops of the three screws … and the missing screw I noticed … I’m thinking it “bothers your eyes” 😉
OMG, I didn't even notice the missing screw until you said it! LOL I would have noticed it eventually. I'll be back to Bill this coming Monday to have other work done, I'll have him put the last screw in!! HAHHA
Now we are cooking with gravy!!!! this was driving me crazy. so glad you figured it out. Now I want to understand this. I bought a couple of books on this issue and I don't get it yet but I'm going to keep trying
if you figure it out and you can explain it to me like I'm 5yo, you let me know!! actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I should probably drop that to 4yo!!
Hi Lulu, It’s amazing what a good electrician can do. I’m like you, I need the 5 year old explanation haha Have a great night, see ya soon Your pal, Susie
Would love to hear how much it cost. I want to get a “dc to dc thingy,”hard wiring for lights and fans, install a large max fan, and plug for shore power. I have no idea who can do it and what a reasonable cost. I’m Florida. Thanks
the price of the dc to dc thingy is posted in the description of this video. also, the maxxair an install is in this video and I think I mentioned the price: th-cam.com/video/lL3khVEihXA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vANfGXO65j9_EW4- the shore power and lights I'm having installed Monday and I'll do a video on both things and how much it costs.
OMGosh this is so good to know. Wow. Can you tell me how the DC to DC charging wires go into the bluetti? Does it plug into the 12V slot or did he somehow hardwire it? I imagine your freezer takes up the 12v slot so I’m super curious how it wires into the bluetti. ALSO, how does your max air fan wire into your bluetti? I still haven’t gotten my beasty power bank yet but i have all those things and need to find out.
I thought you already had one of those installed with a switch you could flip to change from solar charging to charging while driving. But maybe I'm getting my channels mixed up.
I did have a wire running from my car battery to my Bluetti. but now the wire goes from my car battery, through a DC to DC charger, and then into my battery. BIG difference!!
I celebrate in the ways that truly matter, we hug, we talk, we laugh, we sing/dance, we reminisce . . . we just put different things in our mouths to chew and swallow. it just doesn't matter what each of us is eating. food is not love if what you are eating is killing you.
Knowing now what your power needs are as it relates to powering up the B’etti….would you have installed all electrical components before the design/build of your interior space ? Your thoughts? :)
20/20 hindsight. I think it had to be done this way. Lulu’s way. There may be a rebuild or redesign from her in the future but that’s up to Lulu. I love watching the whole process. It helps me to understand how I might want to build out my own van.
OMG, I forgot to mention that I also run a FREEZER, 24/7, and that uses most of my electricity!! It's been a struggle. Now I will run that, easy breezy!!!
I am happy for you!

yes Doug!! I will enjoy have the solar panels for keeping things topped up. but yes, the DC to DC charger is for sure the way to go!!!
Thank you Lulu making it easy for a 6 year olders to understand. very helpful

Hi Lulu 🙋♀️ So happy for you 😊❤ getting your Van fixed 😊❤ Have a great day ❤️❤️😊
Regardless of what the cost ends up being, it is WORTH IT! 😊
cost is now in the description box! $1200
He is so reasonable and honest

So happy to see how happy your DC to DC made you. Your channel is really a great resource on How to Build a Van.
You have blazed the trail for me. I will just make this part of the original build
yes, it certainly feels like a game-changer!! but stay tuned as I travel off grid for the next few months and we'll see how it performs!!! 😊
YAY! I am so happy that your electric needs are taken care of😊 I look forward to the next adventure. Watch out Florida😂 Thanks for taking us along, Lulu❤️
Hey Lulu, That is a beautiful installation, your Bluetti will last longer by keeping it charged. Happy Trails...

it was tricky to get it to give me that much power. it has to do with the settings in some way that I could never understand!!
This provided me with SO much information! Thanks!
Wonderful video you never know you may have some heading up that way to see him and get theirs fixed. Lots of good information.
some from my channel have already headed up to him for work to be done, and that makes me smile!
Wow that’s amazing to hear. I’m definitely going to have to get that setup. Thanks for the info! ☮️❤️☀️
That’s wonderful lulu 👍❤️😇
Thx . Always wondered how the dc to dc worked.

Fantastic I am very happy for you Lulu.
Impressive. One (big!) less thing to worry about. More focus on the fun travel.
This made me smile 😊
You have two awesome BBs helping you get your van just right. Looks like men with B names are lucky for you😂! Love that shirt. That’s exciting you are cranking out the volts now! I love your channel because you’re real so keep sharing all the awesome things but also share things that bug you. 🤗🙏🏻
Make sure you find out what voltage of fuses (I think that's the correct term 😅) your car uses, and the breaker box he installed so you can buy some extras to go in your little tool box ...just in case you ever blow one. I'm sure you'll watch him change it out. They're pretty easy to install.

Hi Lulu, I also have a DC to DC charger but like you, the details of it's working is like a foreign language to me. 🤪
and, for me, it remain a mystery. I have no room in my brain for that information!! 🤪
You are so creative!
I'm currently having this issue. And my 12v and usb outlets in the van stopped working. I may have to look up dc to dc charging. Thanks for this info!
Your van is set for life!! Would be interesting to know how much in total the value of the van now! You are going to have fun on your next trip!!
So happy that you’ll have enough power for your needs! I don’t understand all that electrical stuff either. Can’t wait to see you doing your thing in Florida!
i enjoyed your explanation of how your electrics will work now. I think I understand it a little better. What a great fix.
Game changer! How nice to be able to use your Bluetti to its full potential 😊
How exciting you worked your electricity issues out.
I see a dc to dc device in my future now. I just purchased a 2000 watt bluette. I’m building out my van this winter. DIY very simple. Love watching your upgrades as well as your trips.

Thrilled for you! I know the issues you had on the Arizona trip! This will make traveling so much better!🎉
YAHOOOOOOO LuLu Amazing!!!!!!!!! xoxo
The unit can only take 200 watts of solar at a time anywY... but I’m tired of the picking and choosing what to use, and running low, and worrying about overcast or rainy days. I want to be able to store excess power in batteries.
Anyway I’m looking forward to knowing the cost of this power upgrade!
$700 parts, $500 for 5 hours labor.
yaaaay!!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 i knew this was eventually coming. soooo.... i was totally excited to see the title of this video tonight. and i am soooo.... joy filled for ye! i can't explain electricity butt... i knew the situation could be resolved and ye would be able to easily cook without any probs! you are brilliant lulu. you found an excellent place for your dc to dc charger! and you have the only van i have seen on youtube with an out in the open, easy access to the red on off switch! i am dancin happy for ye!!!! continued travel mercies and blessings.🕊

Very informative…I get so confused with the electricity. This cleared some of that up. Thank you…
You are all set!
Wow Lulu that is a game changer 😊😊 it must feel so relieving to have that figured out. ❤❤❤
Wow what a great set up! So happy it solves a lot of issues!
What a relief! Congrats 👏 👏 👏
I ask per hr is to understand what would be reasonable for a job like that. Thank u
I think $100 per hour
Thanks for sharing Lulu! ❤
Love and peace from Australia as always Lulu 🦘😘
Wow…that’s amazing!!! Bill rocked your solution perfectly!!! Cheers Debbie♥️🙂♥️
Great upgrades LuLu!
Fabulous Lulu!!! So happy this has been resolved for you
it's so sweet and I'm so grateful that this makes you happy too!! ❤️
Now we are cooking with gravy!!!! this was driving me crazy. so glad you figured it out. Now I want to understand this. I bought a couple of books on this issue and I don't get it yet but I'm going to keep trying

Hi Lulu
I appreciate your information regarding Solar on the roof. Hope you are having a good day today. Merry Christmas ⛄⛄⛄🎁
Lulu, could you post the brand name and model of the DC to DC charger you have? Maybe a link? I’ve been wanting to do this for years! 🙏🏻😘💞

HAPPY FOR YOU !
thanks Kathleen! 💕
Hi Lulu,
It’s amazing what a good electrician can do. I’m like you, I need the 5 year old explanation haha
Have a great night, see ya soon
Your pal, Susie
Great fix thanks Lulu😎
So happy for you!🎉
Awesome ❤
Some people are putting solar panels on the sides or back door with magnets when stopped.
yes, I've seen that. I have nowhere to keep them and I think I'm all set anyway!! YAY!!
Nice!
Great news!
I still haven’t gotten my beasty power bank yet but i have all those things and need to find out.
everything is hardwired, even the freezer!! I'm not sure how it all works. I think I will do a video on day and try to explain it!!
That’s awesome.
What brand and model of DC to DC charger did you get installed? Mine doesn't charge as fast as yours and I want to change mine now. Thank you Lulu.

Can you overfill the power or burn it in the yeti with the car batteries
in my experience, the Bluetti just stops storing once it hits 100%. it does the same with solar.
Hi Lulu I am from Singapore. May I know how u celebrate with your family if u eat differently from them?
I celebrate in the ways that truly matter, we hug, we talk, we laugh, we sing/dance, we reminisce . . . we just put different things in our mouths to chew and swallow. it just doesn't matter what each of us is eating. food is not love if what you are eating is killing you.
@@LulusWay64 thanks. You inspire me alot with your positive attitude and solving things in your own way. 👍
Do you have an air conditioner
when the car is running, yes. otherwise, I would never be camping/sleeping anywhere that is too hot.
Which Bluetti to you have? The AC200max or the newer AC200L?
mine is an older model AC200P.
Should you relocate your butane away from the new DC charger?🙋♀️
good suggestion!!
That looks great! I need to do that.
it all seems absolutely amazing. but when I live on the road for the next few months, that will be the test!! I'm hopeful!!
What brand is it

How many hours did he work. How much does he charge per hour?
I think $100
Knowing now what your power needs are as it relates to powering up the B’etti….would you have installed all electrical components before the design/build of your interior space ? Your thoughts? :)
20/20 hindsight. I think it had to be done this way. Lulu’s way. There may be a rebuild or redesign from her in the future but that’s up to Lulu. I love watching the whole process. It helps me to understand how I might want to build out my own van.
I didn't know what I didn't know. a van build, including the electrical, is always a work in progress and things just get updated as needed.
