ṛtasya jihvā pavate madhu priyaṃ vaktā patirdhiyo asyā adābhyaḥ ।
dadhāti putraḥ pitrorapīcyā3ṃ nāma tṛtīyamadhi rocanaṃ divaḥ
mā tvā mūrā aviṣyavo mopahasvāna ā dabhan ।
mā kīṃ brahmadviṣaṃ vanaḥ ॥ 732
pavamāna rucārucā devo devebhyaḥ sutaḥ ।
viśvā vasūnyā viśa ॥ 905
ubhayataḥ pavamānasya raśmayo dhruvasya sataḥ pari yanti ketavaḥ ।
adī pavitre adhi mṛjyate hariḥ sattā ni yonau kalaśeṣu sīdati ॥ 887 ॥

I am a Shukla Yajurvedi brahmin of Kashi and my Upveda is Dhanurved but sadly I am practising as a lawyer for my sustenance. I have very deep respect for those individuals who are still learning Vedas through unbroken Guru-Shishya parampara. Samveda is truly divine. Salutations! Please identify your lineage and take it forward.
I'm from Kauthuma Shakha of Samaveda, but unfortunately never got a chance to learn Veda.

That's great if you are practicing as a lawyer. Our Shastras are very much lawful and full of ethics, be it Vidur Neeti or Yaksha Prashna or Veda or Manu Dharma or Ramayana. Try inculcating Veda- Vangmay in your heart through an Acharya. Shubhastu te!
Karma defines the varna, as per Bhagwat geeta, and as a lawyer, the person is kshatriya varna.

Why is Sama Veda so rare? Why is it so hard to find pundits who are educated in this artform? It's so stunningly beautiful. The Government and us as society must take an initiative to promote this artform
Sama Veda is difficult to recite I guess. Did you just see the recitation. Sama Veda is also known as origin of Indian music.
@@subhashanvs3229 that's not the reason. The reason is we as a society don't value this as an artform anymore. If it had more prestige then more people would be doing this!
@@avasta. this is one of the reasons. Just see the difference purushasukam of krishna yajur veda or rig veda and Sama Veda. Sama Veda is very difficult. The sounds and melody can only be obtained by practice of years.
And the parampara is braking. People of the Shaka are not learning it but leaving for modern jobs. I get goosebumps everytime I hear Sama Veda pathanam.
@@subhashanvs3229 I understand it's difficult but cricket can also be considered difficult but since there is much fame and money involved, that doesn't stop anyone! The same is the case with the Sama, it's difficult yes but Indian society like we know has no interest generally in our spiritual heritage unfortunately.
Sama Veda is biggest of all Vedas. It is not art form

Thank God I am a Hindu and thanks to our devatas that I found this masterpiece on TH-cam . We generally listen to rig or yajurveda more or less . But Sama Veda sounds like hymns from another planet . This is the magic of vedic Sanskrit ( not the modern Sanskrit we see today ) . Thank you very much . Hari om 🙏🙏

The Rig Veda has 10,552 mantras grouped into 1028 suktas or hymns each having roughly ten mantras.
The suktas are further grouped into 10 mandalas.
Rig veda has only Rik mantras which have a metrical structure. Of these 2456 mantras are in the well known Gayatri meter ( The popular Gayatri mantra is also in this meter).
As per Shri Aurobindo Ghosh , Rik is the mantra of divine consciousness.Its brings its light of revelation.
There are around 400 rishis in the rig veda of whom atleast 25 are women.
The Yajur Veda primarily consists of Yajus mantras which are rhythmic phrases not set to any particular meter ( Unlike Rig Veda)
The popular Taittiriya Samhita of Krishna Yajur Veda has around 4773 mantras , of which around 2/3 rd are yajus mantras ( rest are Riks)
The Yajur Veda deals with Yajna or rituals to appease devatas
The Sama Veda consists of Riks with the added dimension of music.
The Atharva veda has 5987 mantras grouped into 730 suktas and 20 Kandas ( Chapters)
Most of the mantras were revealed to the lineage of Rishis Atharva and Angirasa.
It contains knowledge of healing, construction (Vastu) and societal conduct amongst others
There are three types of Vedic Mantras
Rik - Mantras set to a particular meter like Gayatri
Yajus - Mantras in Prose form not in any particular meter
Saaman - Mantras used for singing
Rig Veda Samhita has only Rik mantras, Yajur Veda Samhita has both Yajus and Rik mantras , Sama Veda Samhita has Saman mantras while Atharva Veda Samhita consists mainly of Riks and some Yajus.

I got goosebumps listening to this chanting. I felt like I'm sitting in front of a Vedic Rishi and he is describing his experience of enlightenment in form of a musical poetry.
The flying swan at 8:10 was really a climax scene, it was like the mind has ultimately reached the state of enlightenment. Absolutely brilliant, the video has done justice to the chant.
