"HIghlights" on pole with no lap times mentioned or shown, at the very least there should have been lists of the times set by all that took place in the Hyperpole. Plus it would have been prudent to show the complete pole lap as well.
WEC/Le Mans literally have the worst TH-cam presence of any racing series I follow. It's a joke.
Agree 👍. Now just think about formula 1 how better transform on videos and editing. It leader in this entire motosports. MotoGP also not good in TH-cam.

But the stupid race director voice „3…2…1…hyper pole has started“. I feel like that guy wants to hear himself. What a joke. It’s worse than any media coverage from the 70s.
@@about_tomaso1 He is speaking to inform the teams and drivers, so being informative and precise matters.
That the track radio channel is put out to the rest of us is sort of a Le Mans tradition, we are not the target of that channel.

@@LucaTgaard @ShadowUK I don't have a TV, and the 24h app is dreadful. I used it last year and the live video stream didn't work until about 30 minutes in to the race and even then the quality was patchy at best.
Should show more battles more running times instead of just the final results.

The pole sitters display how common white, and red are in racing liveries. I like corvette for bring different and bold all the time.
Absolutely, it's way too common. The Alpine car is a bless to see among the red and white eyesore.

Prototype cars are always gonna like prototype cars. Their key design elements haven't changed much in the last 20 years say for the roof and how pointy they are

Honestly this hyperpole COULD have been soooo exciting. But traffic ruined it too many times… you should do it like IMSA with GT’s doing hyperpole on their own for 20-30 minutes and then the LMP/hypercars doing their own hyperpole for 20-30 minutes.
I thought WRC had bad coverage and highlights, this however is terrible
At least Redbull picks up the slack for WRC

Triste plus que triste de voir la grille de départ alors que j'étais au Mans en 1988 et 1989. Le ALMS de Don Panoz était encore superbe. Mais là même le commentateur belge parle de l'écurie WRC alors que chacun sait que son nom est WRT. Pauvre France. Mais demain cela devrait revenir, c'est du moins ce qu'on nous annonce. Parce que Hyperpole il n'y a que le nom qui fait Hyper. As I have lived in South Africa and SWA (Namibia) I am fluent in English but for my love for Le Mans, I need to say this in French. Oui, je regrette tout le mal qu'on m'a fait. Edith Piaf. Mon Dieu toujours de Piaf, je regrette les grilles de départ de 1970 à la fin du fin du LMP1. Ceci est mon Hymne à l'amour pour Le Mans. J'adore cette épreuve et je m'amuse aujourd'hui encore avec ma PS2 et la group C Jaguar, Sauber Mercedes, Toyota, -Nissan, Mazda et déjà la Peugeot 905 qui est venue juste après.

toyota having competed against audi and porsche and won in previous LMP1 category has all the tools needed to dominate this so called hypercar era
Competed against and lost. They've only won it as much as they have because they were the only manufacturers left in LMP1 and now hypercar and had zero competition thanks to the poor BoP that never gave the non hybrid rebellions, glickenhaus or grand fathered alpine a chance
I look at this new category and it still looks like LMP1 to me
But its way way slower

Can’t wait for more manufactures in top class and I wish they would replace GTE with GT3. I love Le Mans but with so few manufactures in it it just doesn’t seem that special anymore, at least not when it comes to the Spa and Nurburgring 24 hrs

Yet another highlight video with no actual highlights and just pitlane b-roll footage throughout. No mentioning of laptimes, no mentioning of other drivers outside the 4 pole positions, no showing the full grid order for the race or anything. These videos are so bad I can't imagine anyone in the "production" of them actually got paid to do it

11 JUNE 1955 LE-MANS DISASTER =11 JUNE 2022>THIS IS THE ONLY TIME SINCE 1955 IN 67 YEARS THAT THE RACE HAS BEEN RUN ON THIS DATE.
Please see below 2 letters I have emailed to every race team entering this years 24 Hours of Le-Mans, I have also emailed my suggestions to the ACO and forwarded a cop of these 2 letters to them.>
Please, consider, with great respect, my request !
At 6,26pm on lap 35 on the 11 June 1955 at Le-mans a catastrophic/disaster occurred that took the lives of 83 spectators plus French racing driver Pierre Levegh, also injured or maimed were approximately 200 other people.
This was and still is the biggest catastrophic disaster in motor racing history.
The above mentioned disaster is not common knowledge, I believe it would be an honourable decent human gesture to show and acknowledge respect to all of those people who lost their lives or were injured in any way shape or form, by observing 1 minute of silence before the forthcoming race, and also for each participating team at the end of the race to dedicate this 11 June 2022 race to all of the people who were effected by that shocking catastrophe on 11th June 1955.
I have emailed a copy of this email to all the other participating Le-Mans race teams.

Further to my previous email of 31st May 2022, I have been contacted by several people who are involved with or taking part in the forthcoming race at Le-Mans, they are now considering my earlier request.
I would like to clarify to yourself what I was trying to say in my previous email of the 31st May!

I would be Eternally grateful if every race team participating at this years 24 hours of LE-MANS 11 June 2022 could collaborate together with the ACO to officially arrange and observe 1 minute of Silence before the race and also for all the race teams to dedicate this race to all the people who died or were injured or effected in any way shape or form by the catastrophic disaster on 11 June1955.
I am sincerely grateful for your help

Good morning Mr. Holt,
thank you for this action you have taken: it's always beautiful, to me, see that the 1955 edition is not forgotten.
I don't have any personal link with that tragedy, but reading and watching all that I could find made me aware about how terrible was; and how much lasted in the years to come for everybody involved.
I hope that ACO, teams and journalists will take in consideration your proposal.
Does not cost more than a minute to pay tribute and respect, more than deserved, to the victims and their families.
I understand that in motorsport nobody wants to think about death, but after 67 years within the precise date of the tragedy, few words of commemoration or a simple silence will not ruin the event.
I hope you will have anyway the opportunity to follow the event, that continues to be an inspiration for many as the greatest achievement in human history that combines speed and endurance skills.
