I remember playing this song for my choir, "The Followers of Christ". It was a blessing to all who heard it. The message is simple, but powerful. "We can make it, with Jesus on our side" Amen! Rest in peace, Timothy Wright, my brother in Christ. You and your presence is missed.

That's true! I just feel that sometimes gospel strays from it's roots. I know that a lot of new artists are trying to add a R&B, pop feel to it so that it can appeal to the young crowd. I don't mind, I like some of it. But at the same time, from time to time, I like to hear some good ol' fashioned gospel. Even though I'm young at 24, maybe I'm too old school, LOL!
This was when gospel was gospel music and people were presentable and it was about Jesus Christ and the Almighty. Now these days gospel music has become a spectacle. Can't even tell the difference between gospel and R&B these days.
You lived what you sang about and presented yourself unattracted to you, but attracted to the Lord Jesus Christ. These songs were about doctrine. "We're gonna make it." And you knew you were going to make it.
It sounds a little bit different from the recording on the album, but this is still my favorite. As matter of fact if you look at all of your albums before 1992 and after 1992, you will see a distinct trend. Using Commissioned or Hezekiah for example. All albums before 1992 everyone smiled. Happy to be saved and singing. After 1992 all of the smiles went away to look serious, mad or whatever the world trend was. Check it out for yourself.
Know that God will never leave us nor forsake us. This pandemic/plague/COVID or whatever is formed against us shall not prosper!!! If God be for us, who can be against us?! We're going to make it! Psalm 91 will encourage you. Be blessed everyone. 😍🤗😇🙏
